Introduction: Introduction: "Bringing joy and happiness with music, songs and smiles." Solo classic rock/folk/pop/funk/country/soul/blues for all events. Whether it's playing solo acoustic, with a full band or anywhere in between, I've been performing cover and original songs for over 25 years. My repertoire spans from 1960s through the present, ranging from The Beatles to Bruno Mars. (Ask for my song list!) My shows and my vibe are very positive. When acceptable, I love to go out into the audience and involve them in the show. I love to perform, entertain and bring joy to others. 😊

Judy went above and beyond to sing and surprise friends who were married at SF City Hall as they exited with a rendition of All You Need Is Love! They were shocked at the surprise and joined in singing themselves with Judy. She was and is wonderful!

We hired Groovy Judy, Pete, and Tim Romain to play for a surprise retirement party for my husband at a local wine bar. Our guest list was diverse in age and many drove more than 50 miles for the event. They all loved it! She engages with the audience in a personable way and really makes everyone feel included. She played two special songs, which were not her usual set, which was a brilliant surprise for my husband. Tim even played a UofM fight song rift when he was featured, which was fantastic. Highly recommend and will use them again in the future. Super easy!

Judy is an amazing artist. She is absolutely fascinating on guitar and her singing kept our guests humming along. She entertained our hundred plus guests at our annual indo-western Diwali Celebration and it was a blast. She’s warm and friendly, very personable. I would hire her in a heartbeat for our next party 💝🤘

I am a beginner and didn't know much about playing Guitar and Music theory. She is a great teacher, she always has a way to make me understand the critical aspects. Within no time Judy has brought me to a level where I could read music and play basic chords and make transitions. Playing guitar is a combination of the lessons you get from your guitar teacher and practicing a lot, judy has been really good in making me focus on the right aspects of guitar playing. So far everything has been great. Looking forward to more great lessons.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is competitive for the market place. My fees are: 1. Solo 4 hours = $500 2. Duet 4 hours = $1000 3. Band 4 hours = $1500
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We negotiate the date, time, location and rate. Then we fill out a simple agreement confirming the details.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
BS degree in communications from SFSU, college courses included music theory and composition, piano and sight singing. I’ve been performing around the Greater San Francisco Bay Area for over 30 years at Summer Concerts, Festivals, Fairs, weddings, birthday parties, nightclubs, restaurants, churches and cafes. I perform solo, as a duet, trio, quartet or a quintet.
