FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My therapy sessions are $140.00 for 50 minutes. I offer some sliding scale sessions as well for those who demonstrate financial need. For corporate sessions please contact and share a bit about what you are looking for and we can create a workshop/lesson that works for your team.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
In our sessions together we build trust so we can explore your unique process, heal your pain and tap into your true self. I offer free 30 minute in person or phone consults so you can meet me, get to know my vibe and ask any questions you may have. If we both feel like we are a good fit for one another, we find a time that works for weekly sessions. Sessions are 50 minutes long and weekly. This frame helps to build our relationship and keep the momentum going so that you can get the most out of therapy.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
As a young and passionate undergraduate UC Berkeley college student, I studied education and social change in hopes to learn the best ways I could make a positive impact on our world. I explored the fields of teaching, communications and NGO work both in the SF Bay Area and overseas before feeling called to journey much deeper into my own personal healing. Over the years I've immersed myself deeply in study of the yoga tradition, meditation, shamanic studies and reiki energy work. My passion for healing and the mind-body connection eventually lead me to the Somatic psychology M.A. program at the California Institute of Integral Studies. The journey of becoming a psychotherapist has been a beautiful full-circle path for me, for thru my own healing work of reclaiming my own body and sovereignty, I found my calling as a therapist. I have worked with a diverse range of clients as a therapist at the Center for Somatic Psychotherapy - a sliding scale trauma-focused counseling center and partner with women's organizations including the Gyals network, Black Girls Code and more, to facilitate mindfulness workshops and courses throughout the Bay Area. I also work with girls in coming of age and rites of passage work through the Stepping Stones Project. Last but not least, my heart and my therapy practice is fueled by my continued practice and study of the Mysore Asthanga yoga tradition with Devorah Sacks.
