Introduction: Hi there! Welcome to Velvet Beauty! Here's a quick intro: You can catch the lead makeup guru of Velvet Beauty, Marisa Warren, at Christian Dior events all around Texas as a regional artist and lead esthetician. She has been immersed in the beauty industry for over 10 years and has even dabbled in doing opera makeup for Austin Lyric Opera. Even though theatrical makeup is fun, her passion lies in beauty makeup especially for weddings, photoshoots, and special occasions. Her beauty work has been published in national magazines and online publications such as Vogue Italia, Harper's Bazaar, and Refinery 29. Our favorite thing has to be giving everyone's skin a velvety finish (your choice of matte or glowy)! We thrive on blending every aspect of your makeup to perfection :) Even though we are based out of Austin, we travel anywhere in Texas. Everything about Marisa was amazing. She made my wedding such a special occasion for me, and all my girls. Our makeup looked flawless, and she was so kind to all of us! Marisa tailored a look for each one of us, and applied airbrush makeup effortlessly. She went above and beyond, and I could not recommend her more as your makeup artist for your next event! She is truly spectacular!

Marissa was the best person I could have ever hired for my wedding. I remember finding her on here, then checking out her Instagram and being absolutely floored and had to hire her. I knew if I didn’t hire her, I’d regret it and if she couldn’t make it, I’d do my own makeup. She was who I wanted and thank god she was available on my wedding day!! She showed up early and got set up. She also had the best pricing out of a few other girls I had checked out online, especially for the quality of her work!! I had a couple bridesmaids who couldn’t decide if they wanted hair and makeup or not and one ended up needing her makeup done also and Marissa fit her in. She was so helpful and so sweet through everything from setting up a consultation all the way through the wedding day. I have NEVER felt beautiful like I did on my wedding day. Marissa worked some amazing magic! Everyone kept complimenting my hair and makeup, which by the way, held perfectly all night!! From 3pm to almost midnight y’all...To this day, I get compliments on my hair and makeup from my wedding photos. I already know I’ll be hiring Marisa again for future events, such as maternity photos, baby shower, etc. She’s the sweetest person and not just myself but my entire bridal party and my mom LOVED her. Don’t hesitate to reach out to her. She’s beyond perfection.

Marisa did my makeup for my wedding on October 11. Upon her arrival, I was dealing with a stressful situation (last min wedding prep problems), so I was very tense and frustrated. I feel terrible that Marisa had to hear my frustrations. However, Marisa was completely reassuring and laid back on that day, so once we started my makeup application I felt much better. My makeup looked absolutely amazing. I felt truly beautiful and like a princess on my wedding day. My makeup has never looked as good as it did that day. I received so many compliments. Many family members and friends said I looked like a model:) My mother also had her makeup done that day and she felt beautiful. My mother told me she received lots of compliments as well. I am so glad I chose Marisa for my makeup artist on my wedding day. She is the best in her field!!! I highly recommend her for any special event!!!!

Marisa and Kourtney were such a great team to have for my wedding! They came on site to do my mother, mother-in-law, bridesmaids, and my makeup and hair. They were creative, flexible, and efficient. The photos are starting to come back from our event, and the makeup is on point! I hope I can come up with another event in the future to have them do my makeup again!

These women were the absolute best. They were so organized, professional and kind. They are incredibly good at what they do and made everyone feel so at ease and happy on our wedding day. They kept us laughing and smiling all morning long. Melissa and Samatha are a dream team and we couldn’t have ask for anyone better! I loved the hair and make up more than I can say. It was so beautiful and I’m really thankful. They also had affordable options for me, my bridesmaids and the mothers with hair ranging based on selection and a make up option to do eyes lashes and lips instead of full make up! Book them ASAP! They’re so great!
