I turned to Wilson seeking help communicating with a corporate lawyer that is never easy and intimidating. My case was about the company's stock options allocation and included a lot of long emails with complicated legal language supplemented with a large amount of paperwork. Wilson attentively and timely reviewed all the documentation and listened to my part of the story. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge $250/hour with a 4-hour minimum. Prior to the mediation I offer a 30-minute consultation with each party free of charge.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated from UC Hastings College of the Law in 2012 where I focused on mediation in my studies of Alternative Dispute Resolution. I received UC Hastings Center for Negotiation and Dispute Resolution Mediator Certification in 2015. I have taught mediation at UC Berkeley and UC Hastings since 2012.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have a passion for solving problems. I love mediation because instead of the one-size-fits-all approach that comes from litigation, mediation allows the parties to craft a solution that fits them perfectly.
