Introduction: Hi there, I'm Ty Parker from San Francisco. I'm the drummer for Panic is Perfect. I teach out of my studio in San Francisco or will travel to students homes.
I have over 25 years of playing and teaching. I teach all styles of drum set in addition to rudimental snare, reading music, drum charts and hand drumming. All ages and all ability levels are welcome.
I started playing at a young age and studied all styles of drumming including rock, jazz, latin, world music. I also have deep experience with rudimental / marching percussionI having played, taught and judged top DCI drum line including a world championship drum line and many high school drum lines.
I currently perform with the band Panic is Perfect and we have played all over the U.S. including major festivals like BFD, SummerFest and the upcoming BottleRock Festival.
I have enjoyed teaching and giving back to others. My teaching approach involves discovering what motivates and excites each individual student. I then find fun and easy-going ways to work in solid fundamental techniques, providing an enjoyable experience that will pave the way for progress in any style.
I enjoy seeing students progress with their goals. I feel that music brings out the best in people. I want all students to succeed in their musical goals. Hope to meet you soon.
