Josh really knows his stuff and is a very capable teacher. I feel way more confident about what I need to do in order to provide potential life saving CPR in an emergency situation.
My husband and I attended the Pediatrics First Aid & CPR refresher course, as licensed Childcare Providers. Since we've operated our Daycare business for almost 23 years, we've attended these required courses every two years, through various agencies. This is by far our most pleasant and beneficial experience. The facility was not only clean and beautifully furnished, but the environment was relaxing and condusive to good discussion and learning. We were treated like professionals and with respect. Because of the small class size, we were able to review what was needed in a reasonable amount of time, and even had a nice lunch break in between sessions. We hope First Lady Permanente will continue offering this course, so it will be available the next time we need to renew our CPR.
I recently received training from Jim and his lovely wife Roseanne in Adult and Pediatric CPR/AED and First Aid. Because Jim's next scheduled class was too far in the future for my needs, I really appreciated that he was able to accommodate an individual lesson for me at a reasonable price. The class was fun and informative, and the material was presented in an interesting and engaging way, with plenty of personal anecdotes from the husband-wife team that kept the class from feeling like a boring on-rails course. After the training was over, there was an issue with the wording on my certification, which Jim worked with me in order to fix. Because Jim works through the Red Cross, there was some confusion over how the certification should read according to Red Cross guidelines; my certification had to be updated a couple times until it accurately described the training I received. There are lists online of the exact titles of Red Cross courses (such as at http://www.redcross.org/images/MEDIA_CustomProductCatalog/m18991669_CEUApprovedCourses.pdf), so if you need a specific wording like I did, it's probably best to let Jim know ahead of time. Nevertheless, Jim navigated the Red Cross bureaucracy for me and got it fixed just in the nick of time. Because of his professionalism before, during and after the training, I intend to re-certify with him in a couple years and would highly recommend him to anyone who wants or needs to stay up to date on life-saving techniques.
I have been a nurse for 18 years and Nick a was the best instructor in all of my years. He keeps it real engages his students. Give him a bonus ☺
I took a BLS class through LifeSaver CPR with Chris. It was AWESOME!! Hands down the best BLS class I've ever taken. I highly recommend taking your CPR classes with LifeSaver CPR.
In the past I have always taken my CPR certification renewal at Safety Training Seminars in Concord. I am excited to see that STS has an office in Berkeley and it's a minute walk from BART. So convenient! Plus I got my certification card that same day.

Great instructor! Does onsite classes for residential care facilities and day programs.
Very friendly, professional, gave extra time needed to make sure we were confident in each life saving technique
John did an excellent job of CPR training. He kept it interesting and communicated clearly and constructively. He focused on key aspects to try and help me retain the lessons. I would highly recommend John for CPR training.
