I’m sure Norwood is an great chef. The two stars here are for the menu he created for my mom’s bday dinner. Minus three stars since he stopped communicating with me 3 days before the event and then cancelled the day of. I have no problem with people cancelling during the time of Covid, but he told me the day of after making it clear that he had cancelled other clients earlier in the week. It left me no time to make other arrangements. Incredibly disappointing experience.

We were super excited for our NYE dinner and we hire Norwood to cater for us. At first he was very kind, and put together a great menu and he even gave us suggestions on where to rent good china and glassware. The only thing we asked him was to get a covid test before the event as we wanted to feel safe and we had asked the same to our guests. Instead he did not get tested and the day of the event he cancelled on us because indeed he had a covid scare. We understand we are in a global pandemic and he should put his health first. But if he would have got tested as we had asked we would have been able to make alternative plans in the unfortunate event he was positive. Instead he cancelled 6 hours before the mess - leaving us to deal with the organization and without offering alternative solutions.

We hired Chef Norwood for a New Year's Eve dinner party and had an absolutely amazing time. He hand-crafted a four-course menu and was able to accommodate some very challenging food allergies and my sparse kitchen. We were really blown away by what he was able to do. I can't wait to have him back!

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

    My pricing includes almost two decades of experience that offers complete ease of mind in hosting an event or dinner and the expectation of true surprise and delight as I strive to go above and beyond your expectations offering unique menus with local and unique ingredients and perfectly balanced wine parings and cocktail menus offering options comparable to the best bars in the city.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

    First I like to meet with them in person or over the phone and get a feel for what their likes and tastes are so I can develop a special meal or experience that is really personal and special. I love bringing in local ingredients and teaching my clients as well as making a special meal.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

    I have a degree in culinary management and another in international cuisine plus have over a decade experience in fine dining at nationally recognized restaurants. I love wine and putting together bespoke cocktails and I have my second level certification from the Wine and Spirits Education Trust from London. I have studied and worked with nutritionist to provide specialized diets as well as religious specific menus like halal or kosher. Finally, I’ve been lucky enough to have done podcast and radio so I am great speaking in front of a group for things such as classes and interactive dinners.
