It’s the new year, and what does that mean? Time for me to shed all those cookies and cakes I ate over the holidays. I’ve always struggled with keeping myself motivated to go to the gym and to switch up my workouts, so I thought this was a great opportunity to try out a personal trainer. Petra whipped me in to shape. We did an intensive bodyweight workout at Kezar stadium, with lots of quick movements and jumping that got my heart rate up and made me sore for days. I learned a lot of techniques that I had never seen before, as well as how to do them with proper form so as not to get injured. Wish I could give more than 5 stars! Let's be real, going to the gym is hard. But since training with Petra, this is the first time in years where I’ve actually been inspired and motivated to workout. So far, she’s designed my workouts to be really fun- from individual training at my apartment gym, to couples circuit training at Kezar Stadium (woke up the next morning and was sore in places I never knew could be sore). Petra is a fantastic trainer - she’s motivational and friendly, and has A LOT of experience and knowledge that she applies to my workouts and overall health. - What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?First session is $60 and includes a short consultation where we discuss your fitness goals, health history and expectations. We end the session with a workout to give me an idea how I can adjust my training program for you.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?I used to hate exercising until I turned 33 and decided I needed a change. It started with whole food nutrition and soon after I got hooked on strength training. Now at age 41 I'm convinced this is the field of work I was meant to be in. Helping people achieve their fitness goals is truly rewarding!
