My son really enjoyed& got a lot out of the lesson !
Jenna replied immediately and we arranged to have a first class pretty quickly. After asking me what my objectives were, we started playing some warm up exercises and ramped up from there. I've already studied trumpet in the past, so she chose a plan of action to gauge were I stand, and is helping me to build up from there.
Mrs. J. is a professional music teacher. She is very patient with myself and 12 year old child when we did back to back lessons. It seems she was able to tailor the lesson to each of our musical abilities. The rate was very reasonable for two half-hour lessons and was provided the option of the being at my house or hers which made scheduling flexible. She also introduced many new instruments to both of us and was able to give my son an introduction to both brass and woodwind instruments while still maintaining piano lessons. Overall the lessons are fast paced but she will work with you to identify problem areas and has offered many helpful tips and practicing routines.

Our mission at Rock U is to provide our students with an accessible rock ‘n’ roll university experience. We offer not only specialized instrument lessons but also a comprehensive education in songwriting and performance. Our instructors’ eclectic bios demonstrate that we at Rock U are uniquely suited to youth-oriented music teaching: despite our extensive experience we are still young ourselves, which enables us to connect and empathize with our students. We aim to give each student the confidence to play and write music both individually and collaboratively, to play in time and in tune, and to understand their role in a band. We will work toward these goals not only through personalized one-on-one lessons, but also through fun workshops and jam nights. At these social events, we will foster an inclusive community of fellow learners and experienced musicians alike.
