Galina is helping my son learn Spanish and she is wonderful! She is prompt, warm, friendly, speaks several languages and so knows how to teach kids trying to learn another language. He looks forward to his lessons with Galina!

Mindy was so great with our son in helping him with his singing. Not having had any voice training, and having to sing a solo in a play, he was very anxious about taking voice lessons. After the first lesson he was very happy and thrilled with Mindy's approach to the voice training. She was patience, very insightful and gave him some great techniques to use to stay within his range and meet some notes that he had to hit. She even gave him pointers on how to combat stage fright. Our 14 year old son gives her 5 stars too and that's saying a lot. We would highly recommend Mindy for voice training!

Laurey Taylor was given my son private tuition for 8 years. She is a wonderful teacher, very patient and understanding, with a nice sense of humour and with great empathie. Her lessons always were very creative and imaginative and helped my son to be very successful in school. We were the whole time very happy and thankful for her wonderful work.

I have had four lessons with Juan Carlos Zepeda, with sessions divided into voice lessons and music skills (intervals, timing, etc.). Juan Carlos has a way of demystifying how the voice works (head and chest voice, placement, etc.). Each session clears something away and my understanding of the mechanics of it all is increasing. Juan Carlos has a beautiful singing voice, plays piano, and is both very kind and approachable. I highly recommend him.

I've been taking guitar and singing lessons with David for a few months, and I've got to say I've had a really great time learning from him! David is an incredibly friendly and knowledgeable teacher who clearly cares about his students and their goals, and better still has played and performed with the artists that I like best. It took me a while to find a teacher who was willing to teach me the music I wanted to play instead of starting with their core competence, so it was really refreshing that within a month or two with plenty of practice I was able to learn one of my favorite songs (Three Rounds and a Sound by Blind Pilot, if you're curious), and a little longer to start singing it, which I was really stoked about. He has been great about breaking things down when the piece we're working on is too challenging. David has also pushed me to pursue my goal of creating music, helping along the way to create melodies and lyrics. I have to say, it takes a great teacher to get me to sing and to share lyrics with them (do you know how embarrassing that can be?). I could go on, but suffice it to say, David is a great teacher, and I'm really glad I started taking lessons with him.

I've been taking voice lessons with Sarah for about 6 months. I chose Sarah because of the quality and detail of her initial responses, as well as her obvious enthusiasm for teaching. I came to her as a hopeless cause in his mid-thirties who could never hit a note. Sarah and her teaching have shown me that I *do* have a voice in there and that I *can* do this. Her techniques and patience have helped me open up my range and start building tone and charecter to my voice. As a teacher, Sarah is professional and fun, patient and caring. She's always happy to try and explain concepts in different ways to help with my understanding. Everything we do in our lessons feels tailored completely to my voice, my issues and my goals. I'm not normally much of a reviewer, but I want to see Sarah succeed and I'm sure there's many of you out there wanting to take the first step into learning how to sing and unsure of where to start. I strongly recommend you contact Sarah and tell her your goals and listen to what she has to say.

Wow, Ann has been great! I've never taken any voice lessons before, and in fact, I'm a terrible singer! The reason why I wanted to take lessons was because I've always wanted to be able to sing at least one song decently. So, I was nervous going to my first lesson with a professional voice coach. She was very friendly, and put me at ease immediately. She casually taught me about the basics, and asked me a lot of questions to get to know me. Once she realized I had no prior experience, she got right to work! She made the lessons fun, but also full of new things to learn. I've only had a couple of lessons so far, but I'm already noticing a big difference!!! And I'm an absolute beginner! Sometimes she sings for me to show me techniques, and she blows me away with her singing! I can imagine that even professional singers would get a lot out of taking lessons from her! She notices even the tiniest of details about your voice and makes note and suggests ways to improve! I definitely recommend!

Welcoming, funny, patient and professional. Ken's style of teaching is exactly what I was looking for. Being a shy person I was hesitant to start vocal lessons. I just had my second lesson and I can't wait until next week. Great teacher!

Liz is my voice teacher. She has helped me a lot with expanding my range and being able to hold notes longer. She has also helped me be a lot louder when I sing. She has many different exercises to warm up your voice at the start of the lesson. She is also very nice and patient, and tries to make you feel comfortable.

I have been taking voice lessons with Marla Volovna for 7 months now. In this short time I have progressed faster than I ever had before, in vocal technique as well as in interpretation and musicianship. Marla is very demanding, very honest and very encouraging… a killer combo for success. And Marla’s commitment to her students’ progress really extends beyond the weekly lesson, with regular communication of tips to improve technique, interpretation, links to performances, documentaries, archives, etc… I highly recommend Volovna Vocal Studio.

She helps and encourages me to push my limit, expanding my vocal range. I'm really enjoying my lesson with her and always looking forward to our next session!

Both of our kids ( 12 and 10 ) are having a nice time with Lynn while learning their drills. She connects with them individually and helps them learn their drills in a smooth way. Our daughter loves her voice and piano lessons. On the other hand, our son did not want to take piano lessons at all but after a few lessons with Lynn, he decided to stay with it! How great is that! Thank you so much Lynn!!! :-) I am happy and looking forward to seeing more of their progress!

I went to Christine a year ago to help me work on expanding my range. As an older woman and high soprano I wanted to broaden the kind of roles I could audition for. Christine was exactly the right person for me! She herself has an extensive range, and taught me how to listen to how my voice was changing from head to chest as I moved from the top to the bottom. Although I ultimately realized that I was not meant to be a contralto, I used the techniques she taught me to take my voice to the top (I now have a reliable high c). I also use the skills she taught me to become a successful choral coach for Gilbert and Sullivan productions. Christina listens carefully to her students and adjusts her teaching to meet their specific needs. She has a broad repertoire and knows how to choose music that is suited to the student's voice and stylistic preference. She is professional and prompt. The only problem I had as a student with Christine was that I wanted to talk to her and pick her brain, and there was just not enough time to learn everything that she was capable of teaching before my finances forced me to discontinue. But I recently went to her for a coaching session to get ready for an audition, and she helped me substantially improve my song, which increased my confidence for a successful audition. I cannot recommend her more highly.

Sarah participated in the St. John's choir and also took private vocal lessons with Emily to improve her singing and confidence. We found Emily to be fun, responsible, engaging, and we saw great improvements in Sarah's abilities during her time with Emily. Additionally, I will emphasize that Emily has great skill in working with a variety of personalities, including expert skills in working with special needs kids.

I attended Anna's voice workshops and also took individual classes with her. She is an amazingly patient and dedicated teacher who has developed her own unique method and technique that will help you grow your voice even if you don't believe you have a special talent.

Ross was very helpful. He was very encouraging and that is necessary for someone like me who hasn't had lessons in years. Ross pointed out what I was doing right and we worked on that, then we moved on to things I needed to improve. I feel like in our one hour lesson I learned more than I have before. I can't wait for our next session :). I would highly recommend for any singer, no matter what level, to have a lesson with Ross.

Natalie's knowledge of the fundamentals of voice has been so beneficial in my personal journey as a singer. Her experience as a singer is reflected in her tutelage which is accompanied by her kindness and patience, allowing a beginner like me to develop confidence in my voice.

Autumn houses her lessons with a great atmosphere that promotes being comfortable, learning about your own voice and vocal topics alike, and simply having fun as she helps you find your own voice. As a student of hers, I can honestly say I have never seen such progress in my own voice like I have since I started working with Autumn. When I enter each lesson I feel relaxed, excited, and in sync with my voice. She has a vast knowledge of the most essential techniques, styles, tones, and much more, especially in the world of classical music and the vocal machine in general, but believe me, she can apply vocal techniques and styles to many different kinds of music. She relates to your questions and singing through her own experience and what she hears from other vocalists, giving you many perspectives to relate your feelings to while singing, really helping you identify and dial in a certain feeling you may have while singing, or being given a very helpful analogy or physically painted picture using your body to help you find your voice. Without Autumn's strong dedication, passion, knowledge, and upbeat attitude about singing and music, many of my questions would be unanswered and I honestly would be nowhere near the point in my progressing singing that our hard work has brought me now. Rest assured, Autumn Allee will not back down from a challenge and make sure everything becomes clear to you, your questions are answered, and new skills are gained through first hand experience. Not to mention she has a beautiful voice! I'd give her 8 stars if I could!

I've been taking singing lessons with Cherie for about a year. I've always wanted to perform at open mics and maybe start a band but I knew I had some work to do before feeling confident. So I started singing lessons with Cherie to help prepare me for performance but we also spent a lot of time growing my voice. I realized I had a much bigger range than I'd thought. BTW - I'm also a beginner guitarist and we sometimes have guitar lessons too. She's a great guitarist and singer. So I really feel like she's the best out there for that type of work. If you want to not only work on your voice but learn how to perform and have a fun time in general - I'd book Cherie for lessons. She's a pro :-)
