She also has experience with most yoga traditions, so just tell her what you like...or are curious about. She will demystify the practice for you and make it accessible. Private yoga classes are taught in the privacy of your home or work. Private sessions are perfect for beginners or advanced practitioners wanting to go deeper. Group sessions can be great for corporate offices, birthday, bachelor/bachelorette parties or any event you want to make memorable and special. Private rates: * 1 Hour: $80- 120 per hour Semi-private rates: * (2 people) 1 hour: $120 * (3 people) 1 hour: $165 * (4 people) 1 hour: $200 * (5 people) 1 hour: $225 Please inquire regarding prices for groups of 6 people or more. Philosophy: Yoga is the Sanskrit word for "union". The time we spend on our mats is referred to as a "practice", and that is just what it is. The postures created thousands of years ago in ancient India we have come to recognize today as "yoga" are vast, beautiful, and some seemingly unattainable. We practice to strengthen the body, increase flexibility, and improve our overall health and well-being. The practice of yoga is almost impossible to perfect. There is always another level to strive for. Every human body is unique and has it's own level of flexibility and limitation. When we realize that there is no competition in our practice, we are able to find santosh (contentment) in wherever our bodies allow us to go.

I received an individual Yoga session from Audra. As I had never had an individual Yoga session before, I wasn't sure what to expect. She carefully assessed my skill level, interests, and goals for the individual yoga session. Then, through our practice, she discovered that my position in hip openers was slightly off. With a very slight modification, I was able to open up this area like never before. I think this had previously been something that was just too subtle for instructors to pick up in a group environment. I also learned to better understand shoulder openers. Once we discovered how tight my shoulders were, we spent extra time in this area, and she showed me what to do to assess and work out this tension. In summary, my group yoga and personal practice has been positively influenced by this experience. I feel like I understand my body much more after just one individual session. It was completely worth it, and I will definitely patron her services again. Of note, Audra is fun, warm, encouraging, and professional. She really knows her stuff, and I wholeheartedly give her 5 stars.

Audra is an incredible instructor, with so much energy & love, both "on and off the mat", carrying lessons and balance into her own daily life. She has good knowledge of philosophy & ancient history, and how to teach, sharing this through the practice of yoga. I was blessed to know her through Wilmington Yoga Ctr. N.C., where she taught for some time, and as a neighbor, before her move to the West Coast. I like her philosophy because it is truth, and how we are taught as instructors to carry out and follow the teaching of yoga according to history. Including group or individual classes, there is a positive attitude and energy and she is also true to form in her dedication to help others learn, at any level of experience. She shares and learns from her own fellow yogis, as we all are students, not only teachers, for life. She knows the importance of proper alignment and care for those in class needing assistance, encouragement to first practice "Ahimsa", Sanskrit for"first, non-harming", as well as no judgement, including of self. She has a great understanding of anatomy. She is always smiling! She is creative, fun and knows how to teach, with compassion, and a true desire to share her skills and also connect with others. I truly miss her here, and encourage anyone to enjoy and definitely seek her out, I cannot imagine a better instructor or any need for improvement with her!

Audra talked me into taking a yoga class for the very first time several years ago. She made learning something new an extremely enjoyable, challenging, and consistently rewarding experience. Her classes (and music!) vary from week to week which gives students the opportunity to improve and challenge themselves as they continue to practice yoga without the risk of boredom. The only dissapointing thing I can say is that she's moved clear across the United States to the west coast and I can no longer attend her classes!

With Audra your class will be a combination of fun, experimental, solid, and spiritual. She also mixes a great set of tunes to accompany your practice.

"After just a few weeks of Audra's Motivational Rock Vinyasa, I'm feeling stronger and definitely more flexible. This class has boosted my surfing strength exponentially, allowing me to paddle faster and for longer periods of time with little fatigue. Also, my nagging shoulder injury appears to have been shored up by the movements and poses involved in the class. While it's not too rigorous, it provides just the right amount of heat and exertion to keep me going in the other physical activities I enjoy. Plus, having rock and roll and hip-hop music in the mix is a welcome change from the traditional eastern music. Rock Vinyasa rocks!"

FAQs

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

The yogic journey is a personal one. It's important to talk to potential teachers to have an exchange of information.
