The rubber seals on our refrigerator doors had been rubbing together for so long that they tore. I put them together with some duct tape but they needed to be replaced. Mina drove to my house, pulled the fridge out of it's "space", vacuumed the back vents (all of this done without charge) then he gave me an estimate for the seals or "cascades" as he called them. Four days later, the parts were in and he installed them in less than an hour. He also installed the water line to our ice maker which we had never done and we've had the darn thing for 11 years! He was half the price of another appliance company that we called for an estimate. This guy is GOOD!
Amin did a great job installing our appliance. He was professional and thoroughly cleaned up the workspace after the job was complete.
Thanh did a great job installing a new vent hood in the kitchen and bathroom vent. Everything was seamless. We will definitely work with him again!
Juan was quickly able to identify the problem with my kitchen faucet and make the repair. He also fixed two other minor problems during his visit.
i had 3 guys come to my home to give me a estimate he was the only guy that went under the home and really look what was going on he did a good job.thank you will deal with u again.moved the water heater from the kitchen to out side good job thank you.
I needed kitchen switches and kitchen cupboard latches replaced, and it was done efficiently. I would hire him again.
Tom did a great job installing out IKEA kitchen cabinets. He was on time and worked in a quick and efficient way. Would definitely use him again in the future!
Michael installed some timer and dimmer switches for me, and quoted the electrical for a kitchen remodel I'll be doing soon. Nice guy and he definitely knows what he's talking about. I would recommend him.
I initially called Sam because my AC unit was not working - machine would turn on but the outside fan would not spin. Even though we were in the midst of a heat wave, Sam squeezed me in the day after I reached out. He was on-time, he came prepared and he diagnosed and fixed my issue in no time at all. He also put in a 2 pounds of freon. He took the time to explain everything that he was doing so that I would understand what was going on. Good customer service! Since he also works on appliances, I asked him to look at my refrigerator because the compressor has been making a 'clunking' noise. He pulled the refrigerator out, took a look at the issue and told me that it was nothing to worry about. While back there, he mentioned that my unit could use a good dusting. When I told him I didn't have the right brush, he gave me his. No charge for inspecting my unit or for the brush. My washer was also broken (when it rains, it pours) - machine wasn't spinning during the spin cycle. He diagnosed the issue in about 5 minutes. Because he didn't have the parts, he told me he'd call me later with a quote. And he did! No prompting needed. He came back the next day and fixed the washer. Because he was there, I asked him to do some work on the dryer too. He corrected my dryer issue - no charge. Sam is great! He's qualified, capable, friendly and very cost-effective. He doesn't nickel and dime you when you have a whole host of issues to address. And he takes the time to explain what he is doing and what he recommends that you do next. I'll definitely be calling him again.
Luis came to the house and fixed my mom’s oven. We’re talking about what is at least a twenty-year old Whirlpool Electric Oven which was flashing a F5 error message. This was a potential disaster with the oven going down, because how would my mom cook the turkey later this month for this year's thanksgiving??? Fortunately, Luis was able to diagnose what was going on with the oven and he was able to get the oven working again by resetting and fiddling around with the oven's electronic control board. Wow! You want this guy’s expertise. He is very proud of his work and he obviously very much enjoys helping people with their appliances. From my talking to Luis, found out that he has been in the appliance repair business for 27 years. Luis does a lot of warranty repair work for Lowes and Home Depot. Luis also actually has his main established family business, which is now run by his sons, up in the Valencia and San Fernando area up in Los Angeles, but Luis is now down here in San Diego County to expand his family business further south in the San Diego County area and also to personally get away from the awful Los Angeles traffic. Luis is a good guy. He is a very straight-forward guy who will tell you what he is doing. And he will tell you what to watch out for as to possible future problems for the appliance that he is working on. As already mentioned, Luis was able to get my mom’s oven working again by resetting and fiddling around with the electronic control board, but he also told us to watch out for those electronics going bad again because it is old and therefore those electronics may eventually have to be replaced and he quoted how much that would cost. Fortunately now, my mom has her oven working again and she will be able to cook the thanksgiving turkey this year. Yea! Thank you, Luis! Luis also took a look at the stovetop and diagnosed why one burner was not lighting and quoted a price for replacing the burners and the controls — essentially refurbishing the old stovetop rather than buying a new stovetop. For now, we can live with the old stovetop as it is, but we now have an option via Luis for getting the stovetop into better shape. Anyways, for the primary oven problem, we paid a good affordable price to Luis for fixing the oven and getting his advice. The oven is still good, and it is now fixed thanks to Luis, and we now do NOT have to think about replacing the oven. Luis confirmed my thinking that putting in a new oven and a new stovetop would require cutting up the cabinet and countertop to fit and to put in a new oven and a new stovetop. Better to just repair what we have now. And we’re thankful that Luis can do the work. Never met Luis before and was taking a shot in the dark by connecting with him via the Thumbtack app here. But can tell you that we are very impressed with Luis for his professionalism and expertise.
I am so happy to have my oven back in one piece. Mel did an excellent job. He was very pleasant, worked very neatly, and even gave me a few appliance troubleshoiting tips. The fee was lower than I expected which was a nice surprise. Thanks Mel, I will be calling you for my next repair.
Javier was very knowledgeable, friendly, a great communicator, fair priced and good!!! Will definitely call him again with any trouble with any other appliance or electronic item!!
Gregory arrived at the scheduled time and installed kitchen faucet. I ask him to look at a toilet that was always running, he diagnosed the problem and was able to return that same day and replace the broken and worn out parts. Gregory knows his plumbing and provides great customer service
Job well done. Knows what he is doing. We'd work with appliance installers before who claim to know what they're doing but ends up with a sloppy job and very discourteous. Ronald proved that there are still a few good workers out there who could do a good job and be pleasant. We'll definitely use his services again.
I got my furniture assembled from Mr. Vahe. There was a desk with a bookcase attached, a bed, kitchen cabinet, and an office chair. Assembling all these pieces too quite some time (about 5 hours), but the work was perfect. All the furniture was assembled well and they are sturdy. Although, there was a lot of cardboard pieces and thermocol pieces left behind, there was no screw left loose. Thanks! Would definitely hire him again if needed.
I was in a bind. My hot water heater started leaking and flooded my kitchen and laundry room. I called Jim in the afternoon about the problem and he showed up to my house first thing the next morning. He replaced the hot water heater at a fair price. He left my house spotless. He is extremely professional and knowledgeable in his field. I would recommend his services to anyone in need of home repairs.
I'm giving Nick an A+ rating. He's one smart entrepreneur, working when the work presents itself. An incredibly innovative approach to customer service. He's going to be my go-to appliance repairman. I've already given him an A+ reference to a friend of mine.
Jose was exactly who we needed for this job. We needed to remove a kitchen range hood, install an OTR microwave and do a little tile work to finish around the range. He was prompt, polite and professional. His work was excellent and he wasn't afraid to suggest solutions for our tile issue. Not only would we absolutely hire him again, we are making a list of things that we would like him to do. Trust me, Jose is the guy you need in your contact list to do those repairs that you have been putting off. Prices were fair for the work that was performed.
George was responsive, diligent, paid attention to what I was looking for on the job, and worked with me on price. He put up crown molding, sealed, and painted it. He followed up afterward by filling in any separated joints/seams. He also made some custom kitchen cabinets for me that I was very satisfied with. We discussed the job and he made some good suggestions. He is easy to work with. I don't hesitate to recommend him.
James came to service my refrigerator. He was on time, courteous and professional and I wouldn't hesitate to call upon him again for any service that he is qualified to provide! Sharyn Manning
Had some tile flooring put in our kitchen. He listened to our concerns and ideas. kept a very clean work area. The time frame took a bit longer than I thought it would but the end result was well worth the wait. Very pleased and would definitely recommend!
