Introduction: I am training to provide psychotherapeutic services (and am currently under supervision) to people who have had tragic things that occurred in their lives. Sometimes, the effects can be far-reaching. For example, I have worked with children who have lost a primary caregiver. I have worked with adult and child cancer patients and hospice patients. I have also worked with people who are recovering from substance abuse.
Even following a tragedy or perhaps, after not making the best decisions, one can get their his life back on track. I also have had some experience with anxiety disorders, particularly social anxiety. That can be debilitating as well, affecting one's work and social life. If you feel that anxiety has you stuck in situations you would rather not be in, or are holding you back, that can be improved.
