Monitoring soil moisture Watering lawns deeply & infrequently. And, with multiple watering cycles, with short run times to avoid run off. Water audits, if needed. Closely monitor operation of irrigation system Apply organic matter to help feed the soil, which helps feed plants. Apply mulch to all bare spots where soil is exposed. Rejuvenation hand pruning performed in the spring. Aerate lawns once, or twice each year, if needed. De-thatching lawns if needed. Mow high in summer & shorter in the winter. Buyer beware... Pedro has great sales skills and confidence. Very positive and claims he is knowledgeable. Provided good estimate and schedule and so he got the job. Promises the world, but delivers nothing. He was suppose to start on Tuesday and he showed up on time. However, he did not come prepared. He went to Home Depot the night before, Memorial Day, and picked up about 5% of what the job needed. Although he had about 10 days to purchase the supplies from a commercial irrigation company which we discussed. When asked he claimed he preferred that supplier, but Home Depot was the only open place that night. So the supplies he brought were not good quality and certainly not enough to keep him busy for the eight hours we planned out. He also claimed that his credit card was maxed and couldn't purchase the supplies, We discussed the job again and decided to have him go get supplies at the commercial supply house and have them call me so I could give the company my credit card number. He was supposed to come back by 2pm. A bunch of excuses started to surface: he claimed his car over heated. The mechanic didn't have the part, his friend was going to get it, he claimed he would give updates, but never called, when I called him the phone kept going dead (hanging up??), over and over, he stated the phone was breaking up when pressed are you in board with job as it was all fishy smelly...Never heard from him again. Buyer be beware... Super great sales pitch, but no delivery of product nor labor. Would not recommend as he couldn't even start the job. Overall, it was a waste of time dealing with him. The same day that he flaked out my friend gave me a number of her irrigation guy and within three days the valve and timer had been installed and my plants are happy again. A world of difference between Pedro's SALES and actually just getting the job done.

First - P.G. is Patty Grey. Second - Patty wanted more than a timer & valve installed. Third - Patty continued adding items to our initial work list but wanted to keep price the same. Fourth - The day I showed up to do work, Patty had on a shirt that was to small and the bottom of her billy was hanging out, which made me feel unconformable. And, lastly - The main reason I did not return to do work was, Patty said she had some people come out that day to help with digging that were ex-cons & homeless. But, not to worry. That's good she want's help these people out, however I just can't afford getting any tools or equipment from my truck to come up missing, sorry.

My wife and I have been working with Pedro Carrasco every week since March. He has been working along side us to tackle our very own DIY landscaping project. We consider finding Pedro a huge blessing as we could not have done this project without his professional expertise and extensive knowledge of all things landscaping. Pedro has been nothing but professional and happy to help whenever he possibly can. The project started off as a simple consultation for him, and turned into him working tirelessly along side us and extended family day after day to landscape our backyard. Not only does it feel like we have made a new friend, he's become part of our extended family. Aside from the personal relationship we've built over the weeks. He is a very knowledgeable professional and has an expansive knowledge of landscaping products and materials, especially in relation to irrigation; which is his main specialty. He is very accommodating with his schedule and always willing to help whenever he can. He anticipates what we need next and has shown up at our house several times with supplies we needed, just so we didn't have to make an extra run to the store. He has already been referred to several of our family, friends and neighbors for their landscaping projects, and has been very accommodating and responsive to them. Over the past 24 years I'v worked with Homeowners, Property Managers, Real estate agents, Facilities, HOA Board Members, Board Presidents & their Landscape committees. As well as, General contractors, Architects, Sub-contractors, and City Inspectors.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Ask for at least three references, and follow up with them. If possible go look at jobs they have installed, or are currently managing. Ask how knowledgeable are they with irrigation. Installing, and or maintaining.
