Layne impressed me with our first conversation. I really needed help with my garage. It’s a space we use really often and I just couldn’t fully grasp how to make it organized and functional. Plus, it just felt so overwhelming to take on alone. Layne helped me every step of the way! We worked for the next 3 hours or so and not only was I able to get rid of things (she brings bins for donations and ewaste) but we used bins I already owned to get things stored away and put in their place according to categories. I feel so good!!!! We are going to have one more session to compete the garage and I can’t wait. If you’re also in need of help do not hesitate to contact Layne, it’s well worth it.

Layne is a great organizer and person. She is super competent, filled with energy, and ideas, but she is not overbearing and she listens. I recommend her without reservation and I am still happily working with her. She helped me get rid of the clutter that I kept for the past 15 years. It’s a shame I had to choose 3 out of 5 categories to describe Layne’s work because I could have ticked off all these characteristics. I had never met her before she booked an appointment with me to look at the proposed job. She was referred from someone in my office that also was a stranger to me. I appreciated the opportunity to interview her (and her to interview me). I was impressed from the first appointment. She helped me prioritize what areas of my home made sense to tackle first. We then designed a schedule that worked for her and me. We did this over a couple weeks which was good for me because it gave me the opportunity to go through some of my closets before she arrived each day to try to decide on Keepers, Goodwill and Trash. She arrived promptly everyday and worked side by side with me for 6 hours with a 30-minute break for lunch which on which I insisted. Honestly, I think she would have worked right through lunch. This lady has so much energy! By the end of 4 days, we had completely cleaned out and reorganized my garage, a large storage area and 90% of my kitchen. She hauled off so much in her Yukon SUV at the end of each day. I coordinated this clean out with an annual pickup of trash my town offers every year which hauled off over 50 bags. In addition, I made trips to E-Recycle and Hazardous Waste although Layne offered to do that for me, too. This project had been overwhelming to me before I met Layne. Every month, every year it seemed I accumulated more. The thought of clearing everything out had been daunting. It’s also more fun to do this with someone who encourages you every step of the way. Layne’s husband and 9-year-old daughter even helped out a bit. I now have the energy (and momentum) to work on other smaller projects in my home. It’s really cleared the air for me which I needed during the past 10 months of Covid! So nice to see some progress in some area of your life.
