Laura is an amazing personal trainer! Her expertise has helped me greatly in getting in shape. I came to train with Laura after many years of suffering with pain in my lower back, neck, and arms from multiple injuries. I have also had 2 c sections that furthermore weakened my core.. Laura has developed and tailored very effective workouts to strengthen these areas. I feel stronger and healthier than I ever have. I have lost 20 lbs, dropped 2 sizes, strengthened and tone muscles, and have alleviated 75% of my chronic pain with her training. Laura also goes the extra mile and emails your workouts to you. She's an awesome, knowledgeable trainer. I highly reccommend her!

We've been working with Laura for five weeks now and have loved every moment! Laura is very knowledgeable about exercise, nutrition and support for her clients! My husband and I both need to lose weight and Laura is guiding us towards our goal. We meet with Laura once a week for a personal training session and gives us workouts for the rest of the week. Laura is available for questions during the week and has been a joy to work with! Laura teaches us how to workout properly to prevent injury, my knees used to hurt with other trainers, with Laura showing me the correct technique my knees are doing great! I highly recommend Laura!

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

    All the time. Fitness is constantly changing and so keeping up to date on the latest certification programs as well as keeping my own certifications updated in a must.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

    I've always been a very active person. I was a competitive swimmer for 12 years and a competitive dancer for 4, but like most people I was always very self conscious, even obsessive, about every inch I gained or lost. When I went into college I was terrified to gain the "freshman 15". My food portions started to get smaller and further apart until I was down to 2 very small meals a day and my workouts took me almost 3 hours to complete. I remember coming to the realization at the beginning of my sophomore year in college that there had to be a better, a healthier way to get my body to where I wanted it to be. I started to take classes revolving around health and later found myself graduating with a degree in Kinesiology. I didn't discover how amazingly rewarding personal training was until I started working at a well known gym and gaining clients who all had stories of their own. Their own reasons drove them to achieve challenging results and ambitious goals. I loved being a part of their fitness journeys and seeing their confidence, happiness, and bodies change in such a positive way. There is nothing better or more fulfilling.

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

    The most common types of clients I get are weight loss clients that want to lose anywhere from 5-10 lbs all the way up to 80 lbs or more. Most clients want to tighten and tone their muscles as they lose the weight and haven't seen consistent results from their existing workout programs.
