Karin Swanson

Introduction: I provide private piano lessons to students of all ages and abilities. Classically trained, my teaching encompasses a solid understanding of proper technique, beautiful tone production, expressive playing and reading music. Those fundamental skills contribute to versatility and to the successful performance of the abundant keyboard literature spanning a variety of musical styles. Alongside many years of experience in effectively sharing my musical knowledge, I create a positive and nurturing learning environment with an enthusiastic, patient and encouraging approach. My commitment to understanding students' goals, learning styles and musical preferences ensures they will feel motivated to learn to play the piano and take pride in their accomplishments. Weekly private lessons take place in my home studio located in the Willow Glen neighborhood of San Jose. I look forward to hearing from you!
