A little information about me. I've been overweight most of my life and have tried countless programs to lose weight and to regain my health. One thing I had never tried was personal training. In December 2016, I found Scott Meade through Thumbtack. Scott was the first Personal Trainer to respond to my inquiry. I felt an immediate connection with him. He invited me to meet him at the gym on a Sunday. He wanted to give me a tour of the gym and for us to have a casual chat. As an obese female, I was extremely nervous to meet him. He made me feel at ease and I appreciated the time he spent with me talking about his passions; exercise and nutrition. I sensed how genuine he was. His excitement is what jumpstarted my excitement to begin this journey with him. I started training with Scott on January 2nd. Here are just a few reasons why I need Scott besides me on this journey: 1) The guy knows his stuff. Not only is he physically fit, but he's also smart. He stays current in his field and never hesitates to share new information to help develop my knowledge. He doesn't just tell me what to do, he provides reasoning and teaches me along the way. 2) He believes in me more than I believe in myself. He never allows my mental blocks to stop me from doing my best. He's positive and encourages me to tap into my positive spirit. Not always easy. 3) He's responsive and organized. He stays on top of my nutrition and provides feedback on what I'm doing well and what I need to change. He doesn't sugar coat things because that's not how we achieve results. Totally makes sense. 4) He's creative with his workouts and thinks outside of the box. Workouts are never repetitious which helps keep me dialed in. I like the variety he incorporates in my plan. 5) When I'm in the gym with him, it's about ME. I could go on and on about Scott. If you're looking for a Personal Trainer, reach out and meet him. You won't regret it. Meeting Scott was one of the best things that happened to me.

I have couple months training with Armando and I totally believe I made the right decision. During the last 5 years Ive been putting up some weight and no feeling too proud about it, especially because Im short and weight started to cause some foot and knee pain. Ive always postponed work out, it was not my priority but after training with Armando, I feel like I need to go for a session every day so I can get my Feeling good dose. Armandos positivism makes my work out enjoyable even though he pushes me and takes all my energy with every exercise. Armando has motivated me to keep going and give 100% every time we meet. He is professional, he listens, analyzes every piece of information I give him and he even suggests a relax/stretch session to get rid of stress I bring from work. When I first started, he analyzed my measurements, goals, posture, time and health and came up with a plan to target my problematic areas. I have only couple months training and I can see a few changes already. I feel more energetic and with the desire of keep going. Armando makes sure I have the right posture/form and execute moves in a proper way so that I can get the best from my workout and benefit from every move. Let me tell my story. I was looking for place where I can challenge my body and relax my brain. From the bagging I felt that this place is THE PLACE. 7 am bootcamp is really hard for non-morning person. After first 2 weeks, I started feeling more energy during the day. So mornings are not that bad. Next big thing for was a Tough Mudder run. Lori believed in me and helped to prepare. I finished it. 14 miles up/down Tahoe Northstar Ski resort, 20+ obstacles, 1 ice bath(google Arctic Enema), 2 electroshock etc. Next month I was playing volleyball and completely torn my ACL. With Lori's help I successfully went thru rehab. She is amazing educated coach. Lori knows everything about human body and muscles, diets and nutritions etc. My nutritionist told my exactly the same as Lori did a couple months earlier. After 1 year I lost about 30 pounds and 4 sizes :) So if you are willing to work hard and achieve a results this is a right place.
I particularly enjoyed my interaction with Tara, the Nutritionist. I felt she took the time to listen to my stubborn ideals and worked through some issues with me. I can tell they are still in the start-up phase, so some things need to be sorted out. But the team there is well put together, the training sessions were difficult but well paced and I felt energized. Good find.
I love Cambiati Wellness. I knew I needed a lifestyle change but was having a hard time actually making it. I did the 28 day cleanse and lost 10 pounds. I needed to lose more so I joined Club Cambiati and have been so happy with the support I receive. I get to meet with a nutritionist twice a month and she has been so helpful with giving me real world ideas of how I can stay on program based on what is going on with my life that week. I've been using Jessica McCartney Fitness as my Nutritionist since mid-July. She took the time to read over food logs, various forms I filled out, and set me up with a plan. She monitors my food logs, sends me recipes and various helpful articles, tips, motivation to keep me on track. In addition, she checks in with me every other week, by phone, in order to fine tune my eating plan. In between those phone calls, she even sends motivational texts and tips. Since I've started with her, I've lost 10 pounds in six weeks! And, I'm not hungry. I'm going to continue with Jessica in order to reach my goals.
