- How did you get started doing this type of work?
After high school a friend of mine who was older then me, moved out of his parents house and into the house of a contractor who hired him. I moved into that same house after high school to rent a room and needed a job. They said they would hire me to work for them if I could install a door, it was in a custom house an odd size entry way. I did it but it was creaky and my friend fixed it. They hired me and my friend covered me for the entire first year until I caught on. Knowing all the skills makes it enjoyable so I always return to it, I've sold real estate, and tried other careers but I always fall back on traditional trades and now I have my own business.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Plumbing leaks, dimmer switches, and small painting jobs are the most common requests.
