Andi is a really awesome guitar instructor. I started guitar lessons with him with absolutely no experience playing an instrument or knowing how to read sheet music. But because he is really patient, knowledgeable, and at ease with teaching, I have been able to pick up how to play the guitar and reading the tab handouts he gives me after each lesson. He goes at the student’s pace and is willing to change his lessons to teach what new songs I want to learn. After each lesson I am always inspired and reminded why I wanted to take up guitar lessons in the first place. Andi was the very first instructor I met and I’m glad I did. I could not recommend him highly enough as an instructor.

Garrick is very patient and engaging with our 7yo son. Our son loves his guitar lessons and wants to play. He's the real deal with his own gigs and he teaches using music we love. Garrick gets 5 stars because he unexpectedly requested to join us when we purchased our guitar, picked an appropriate used(!) one with metal strings and had it modified to bring the frets in closer for small fingers. His lessons feel customized. We recommend Garrick!

David Williams has given guitar lessons to our son for many years. We have the highest regard for his teaching and his overall positive influence. David is a highly talented musician and a gifted teacher. Our son has great respect for David's musical knowledge and his thoughtful mentoring--and we do as well. David provides very sound guidance and also works to help students achieve their own specific musical goals. David is a great person and a very fine teacher, and we're pleased to give him our highest recommendation.

I am a beginner and didn't know much about playing Guitar and Music theory. She is a great teacher, she always has a way to make me understand the critical aspects. Within no time Judy has brought me to a level where I could read music and play basic chords and make transitions. Playing guitar is a combination of the lessons you get from your guitar teacher and practicing a lot, judy has been really good in making me focus on the right aspects of guitar playing. So far everything has been great. Looking forward to more great lessons.

I had wanted to take guitar lessons for a while so after some research, I found Ahmad. I've been taking lessons from him for a little over 4 months now and I can't believe the results. He is by far the best instructor. He allows you to learn at your own pace and has something new to teach every week. I had no experience playing guitar before I started but after a few lessons, I was playing songs that I had always wanted to learn. The fact that he is one of the most inexpensive teachers is just a bonus. I couldn't find anywhere else that offered his price. Anyone wanting to learn guitar or get better at playing should definitely go to Ahmad. You won't be sorry and you will actually see results.

I have been taking guitar lessons with Owen for about a year and a half. I walked in the door never having studied music before, and he has been awesomely supportive and patient along the way. And he is great at picking projects to work on that fit my interests without feeling like too much of a reach. Highly recommended!

My experience with Golden Gate Guitar Lessons has been nothing but positive. I really enjoy the convenience of having the lessons in my apartment, as opposed to having to travel all over creation. Nathan's a great guitarist, a good teacher and an extremely professional dude. He takes his job really seriously, does lots of prep work and wears a suit everyday. I highly recommend Nathan, I've tried other teachers and he's definitely the best.

Mark taught guitar to both my son and my husband in our home. Mark was professional and so encouraging in his teaching method. The thing that stood out most to me was Mark's devotion to teaching. He truly wanted to pass along his tremendous talent to his students, and was so proud of their accomplishments. Mark would be an excellent teacher for any student, beginner or more advanced. He rocks!

I have had guitar lessons with John Lewis for two months now and I have to say without a doubt, he has exceeded my expectations in every way. Not only is he a very talented musician, he also possesses a rare talent for communicating and teaching guitar and musical concepts that are sometimes hard to grasp. He is patient, kind, encouraging, inspirational, and very creative in his teaching style. He knows how to judge exactly how much information I can handle at one time and I never leave feeling overwhelmed. He always makes the lessons interesting, challenging, and FUN! I am so grateful to have found this wonderful teacher and I highly recommend him to anyone from beginner to advanced. He truly is the Best of the Best!!!

I absolutely LOVE working with Michael and learning guitar from him. I've tried many times to learn before, and it's never quite stuck. Michael has a way of making difficult concepts seem easy and I'm finally able to grasp music theory. It's always challenging learning something new because I (as I'm sure a lot of people do) feel silly when I mess up or a little dumb if I don't do something right, and Michael makes me feel comfortable and able to make mistakes and try new chords or scales, or whatever it may be. I HIGHLY recommend hiring Michael if you want to learn guitar or just improve your skills!
