Andi is awesome! Incredibly knowledgeable, very talented, super friendly, making each session easy and comfortable. He's great at adjusting his teaching to your learning speed & style. Andi's positive reinforcement is motivating. He listens as well as he instructs and his studio space is an ideal learning environment for all stages of learning. The handouts, resources, and tools he provides make learning with him that much more convenient and affordable -- all you need is your guitar! He knows more than just how to play, he understands and can teach music theory, adjusting the practical to theory ratio based on your preference and desired outcome as a musician. He is flexible with scheduling as well. I'd recommend him without hesitation.

Andi is a really awesome guitar instructor. I started guitar lessons with him with absolutely no experience playing an instrument or knowing how to read sheet music. But because he is really patient, knowledgeable, and at ease with teaching, I have been able to pick up how to play the guitar and reading the tab handouts he gives me after each lesson. He goes at the students pace and is willing to change his lessons to teach what new songs I want to learn. After each lesson I am always inspired and reminded why I wanted to take up guitar lessons in the first place. Andi was the very first instructor I met and Im glad I did. I could not recommend him highly enough as an instructor.

LOVE Andi. My 11 year old was very reluctant to take a musical class, but Andi has made the whole process so interesting and fun for him, that now he loves it!

Andi is a great find for a Bay Area guitar teacher. His rates are so reasonable, he's extremely kind, and he's clearly a talented musician in his own right. I appreciated his flexible style and commitment to helping me find songs that I was excited to play to help keep my momentum going. He really helped me build my arsenal of chords, techniques and understanding of music theory. I was especially impressed with the fact that he follows up each lesson with an email outlining what was learned, and often went above and beyond to personally arrange songs I wanted to learn.

Andi is an excellent guitar teacher :)
A few months back, I decided to switch guitar teachers because I felt like my old teacher wasn’t a good fit / was only after the cash. Then, I found Andi here on Thumbtack. For the first week, I also tried lessons with 2 other teachers too from Thumbtack, but after that week, I realized Andi was the best out of the three.
I quickly realized that Andi truly cared about my progress, is down to earth, and is very affordable. In just a few weeks of lessons, I made a lot of improvements with my chord strumming. I highly recommend Andi for guitar lessons, and I look forward to learning even more from Andi and improving all apsects of my guitar playing.
