Amazing dinner at our house for our 40th wedding anniversary for 12 guests. 6 course meal conceived by both us and the chef in advance. Each course was delicious. They have some great recipes and everyone raved about the food. We paid additional for passed appetizers, a server, and a bartender. Everything was done with professionalism throughout. Criticisms are very few but we found nearly every dish cool not hot. Mentioned to them that they should heat the plates but didn’t improve. We did have the AC down low due to outside heat and to keep everyone cool which May have been a factor also. One of the courses was a seared scallop with a pea purée. Only one scallop included which seem to dwarf the plate. But these are nuances in an otherwise incredible experience. Would use them again in a heartbeat.

Marissa was very responsiveness, professional and great to work with. I reached out on a Friday to organize an event for the following Monday (Juneteenth). She sent a sample menu through straight away and we had everything wrapped up that day. The food was amazing and so delicious! Everyone in the office loved the food, we will definitely use her services again, thank you so much Marissa!

We had a great time with Chef Marisa and the Cook & Run team! They catered a really delicious buffet and had a fantastic bar tender at my 30th birthday. They were able to accommodate our vegetarians, pescatarians, and carnivores with ease and every dish was incredibly delicious! Dan and Marisa were really great at communicating leading up to the event, made sure that everything was covered, and made sure everything looked awesome to boot! I would highly recommend working with Chef Marisa and the Cook & Run team.

On service - We were delighted by the service offered by the team of Cook and Run. Daniel was amazing to work with and was very professional in dealing with all the modifications we requested for our order. We booked at a week's notice and we were accommodated - no questions asked. On product - The catering was awesome! Our birthday celebrant was so happy with the food. We had various food allergies and preferences but everyone was able to have a nice meal with the variety of dishes they provided to us. Overall - We will definitely be a repeat customer.

Marisa and her sous chef were absolutely incredible! The experience from beginning to end was great. From the correspondence with her booking manager to the food and the presentation. I asked for an Italian meal. She created a four course meal and included a vegetarian main dish for my friends that don’t eat meat. They were both so sweet, fun and made the experience perfect! Don’t hesitate to book her for your event. You won’t be disappointed. I will absolutely be using Marisa for my next event.

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

    Since I offer so many services, my pricing is based on the event. Private chef and meal prep is priced differently than catering; but my minimum is $200.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

    I like to get the customer request and come up with a great menu that fits your event. I am more than willing to stay within a budget if you already have one in mind. After that, I try to make sure the event goes off without a hit and start all over again. I like to get to know my customer as much as possible as well so that I can make choices I know my customer will like.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

    I have been trained by a master chef of France; worked under him for 3 years. After that, I worked at Bon Appetit for large corporate companies as a chef manager for 3 years.
