I play request, all the new material as well as flashback hits and blend them all together to make a smooth and memorable moment for each and everyone in attendance. My wife and I hired DJ Roy for our wedding and we were more than happy with him. We had an outdoor ceremony, followed by an indoor reception, and he set up both environments for sound and smoothly transitioned indoors. He worked with us really well to make sure a group of important songs came in during the reception, as well an overall collection of music that kept all the guests entertainedour guests spanned many generations and two different cultures. He kept the the reception moving smoothly, has a great, relaxed personality, and played to the guests well in terms of selecting additional songs. Many of our guests complemented him to us, and I wouldnt hesitate to hire him again.

I've known Roy professionally and personally for a number of years now. I get around and I enjoy great music. I know what I like in a DJ. They have to be able to figure out the crowd, whether it be a corporate function or wedding, correctly and quickly otherwise the whole event is in jeopardy. I've witnessed Roy demonstrate this skill set and I've recommended him to others and they've had nothing but praise for him. Notably, my Mother who works for Macy's has used his services a few times as well for corporate events. This is relevant because my Mother and I have very different musical tastes and, apparently, Roy was able to navigate and excel at that assignment as well. Quite frankly, he's great at what he does and has the tools to adapt to any crowd's musical tastes. I highly, highly recommend him as he's professionally and realistic when it comes to rates. I'm hard pressed to comment on why choosing him would be a bad idea.

As far as I'm concerned good music can make or break ANY party. To prove how important it was to us, when it can to our wedding, we didn't pay for a professional photographer or a professional wedding cake, hell I didn't even buy a traditional wedding dress....but we did pay for the best professional DJ service. Kudos to Joel Nelson Productions and to DJ Roy Stone for doing their due diligence prepping us for our big day. Roy rocked it all out to make EVERYTHING run beautifully throughout the evening. Our mixed crowd of guests were kept out on the dance floor, volume was a good level and everyone seemed to be having fun. I had more then one compliment from folks about Roy and of course the "party" was a success because of him!

DJ Roy Stone was hired for both my wedding and my father's 60th birthday party. I have to say that not only was I impressed with his extreme professionalism but also his love for what he does, which shows when he is mixing music. I would recommend him for any type of event that you may have. His skill and talent won't leave you disappointed! :)

We hired Roy for our wedding vow renewal reception. The mix of music for the dinner was fabulous smooth jazz and then he did a great job of dance music for the rest of the evening. He was gracious as our guests had special music requests. In fact no one left early and the dance floor was crowded even for the last dance. He is professional and was easy to work with. I would not hesitate to hire him over and over again. I am now proud to now call him my friend..

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing system is very simple and straight to the point. I have a basic system with packages based on the hours of service required and cost for the service as well as a description of what you will get with the level of service provided. For instance, my Silver Package 4hrs starts at $550, you will have access to my music library song selection catalog and be provided a wireless microphone if needed for announcements, speeches, toasts, etc., The next level would be Gold for 5hrs. $675 and description would be as above and an additional hour of service is added in this package.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Absolutely, I am a member of a deejay forum that provides weekly sessions regarding the lastest in new deejay gear and equipment as well as the latest techniques for mixing music and new music before it's released to the public.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
From an early age I loved music of all types. I grew up loving the Beatles, Lee Dorsey, The Rolling Stones and the Motown sound. I knew which records to play because of the label. I could identify artist from Motown, Stax, Phildephia International and Deco to name a few. As I got older, I got a job working at a music store and then later found employment at a radio station. The love has continue and I enjoy getting others to dance and create good song selection for many to enjoy and be entertained.
