Latest Review: I have had a wonderful experience training with Anthony at God's Gym! He tailors each work out to my abilities, challenges me to incrementally work harder to build strength, but does not push me beyond my abilities or risk injury. Work outs are challenging, get my heart pumping and leave me with the "good" muscle soreness for a few days. There is minimal downtime in the 30 minute sessions, thus there is no wasted time. This contrasts to my experience during training sessions at other gyms. I feel that these sessions are consistently higher yield compared to my other gym experiences. Anthony, himself, is awesome. He is kind, patient, has a great sense of humor. He is VERY encouraging. He provides nutritional guidance specific for your goals. My schedule can be quite variable, and he has consistently accommodated this so that I could make as many training sessions as possible. The entire team at God's gym is very welcoming and supportive. A great environment, and an amazing community that I am now happy to participate in! Also, I would recommend that those considering this gym should not be "turned off" by the name if they are not religious, people of faith, Christian, etc. This is a comfortable and welcoming place for ALL people to train. :)

Latest Review: I've been working with Evan and his team for quite some time now and would definitely recommend them to anyone. I've worked with several trainers in the past at other gyms or studios but have to say this has been the best experience. It's obvious all of the trainers here know fitness and teh facility is top notch. It's a very welcome and low key environment. I've seen several people in their 80s train here which has been great to see! It's never too crowded and only personal training. Would definitely recommend to anyone needing instruction on weight training or looking to get into shape.

Latest Review: Dima is very knowledgeable and professional. He is always positive and very attentive during the workout to help me use the correct form to make each exercise effective and to prevent injuries. He doesn’t give me more than I can handle but he also knows how to challenge me to go to the next level. In the past I have worked out in all different ways, from exercise videos on my own to fitness classes and gym memberships. This is the first time I have had my own personal trainer and I have to say that it’s the most effective workout method of all! I have only been training with Dima for two months and I’ve learned so much and can already notice a huge improvement in my strength, endurance, and energy level. I highly recommend Dima!

Latest Review: I did lots of research on personal fitness trainers in the south bay area. I found Ron’s website, researched his training program and emailed him in regards to more information. He returned the email promptly and within the week we were meeting and discussing my goals and starting my training sessions the next week. Ron provides a complete package that is easy to follow yet aggressive to the goals that you are wanting. I have been with him for 9-weeks now and he has exceeded my expectations in a trainer. He is there by your side correcting your techniques; assist when needed but never lets you gives up. Each session he challenges you and provides positive reinforcements to keep you motivated. I am moving forward meeting my goals and Ron has helped provide me with that. Great trainer, very knowledgeable and a great mentor for getting yourself where you want to be physically and mentally. I would recommend him to anyone no matter what stage of fitness you are. He has set a great foundation for my future goal. Can’t thank him enough. If you need to improve your health and fitness Ron is your guy.

Latest Review: You will get a great workout with this trainer!  He has tons of experience as a professional athlete, coach and personal trainer so he can accurately assess your abilities, help you determine your goals and tailor workouts to help you achieve these goals.   Though many clients seek Sean out for his basketball workouts and triathlon training, I was looking for an experienced trainer that wasn't going to give me the same old boring workouts with weights and machines.  In our sessions after a cardio warm up we would do an assortment of exercises - some of which included Bosu ball burpees, pull ups and push ups with the TRX, the ropes, dogsled running, tire flips, jump rope, ladder drills, high kicks over hurdles, sprints, mountain climbers, leg lifts, shoulder weights, box jumps and sprints... there are many many more in the mix but you should try a session with him to see for yourself. I was training with Sean for over a year before I got pregnant; he helped keep me healthy throughout the nine months by adjusting my workout to fit my needs and then kept me motivated and disciplined with our workouts to a point where I felt even more fit post pregnancy.  On top of all that he's hilarious and will have you laughing in between sets.  I would still be working out with him now if he hadn't moved to CA!

Latest Review: After taking a hiatus from lifting, I started training with Jordan in January 2018. His guidance, structure and motivation was exactly what I needed to get me back into shape. Thanks to his hypertrophy and strength programs, and I've dropped 8% body fat in 6 months--all while adding lean mass. Here are my RESULTS with Jordan: Jan 12, 2018: 26.9% body fat | 124lb bodyweight June 15, 2018: 18.3% body fat | 127lb bodyweight Lifts as of June 2018 (no belt): Squat 135lb x 5 Deadlift 155lb x 5 Bench 85lb x 5 Hip thrust 225lb x 6 Dead hang pull ups 5 x 6 sets Jordan is highly experienced and knowledgeable--not only from training clients for the past 10+ years--but from his own training as a hardcore competitive endurance athlete. He finished a 99-mile bike race in Sonoma this May in 5:20 (and came in 1st), has multiple marathons, ultramarathons--and even Ironman--under his belt. What an inspiration!! He also lifts, so his strength-focused clients benefit enormously from his wealth of expertise. Oh yeah, I've seen him bang out 20 dead hang pull ups under 60 seconds--with flawless form! Here are other reasons why Jordan is such an exceptional trainer (though there are too many to list): *He is highly attentive to injury prevention and correct technique. He knows just the right amount to push you, without you compromising your form. He'll have you do corrective stretches and exercises to fix muscle imbalances. *He's super organized. He tracks your workouts and body composition measurements on a shared Google sheet. No old-school "clipboard and paper" workout sheets. *He is a hardcore fitness geek with a science-based approach to training. He stays abreast with the latest strength and conditioning research, for your benefit (he's studying to be CSCS). *He is dedicated to his clients. He is responsive whenever I have a question for him outside of training time. Schedule permitting, Jordan has so generously stayed "overtime" to wrap up my workout--even though I was his last client after a long day! Jordan has gone private and I now train with him at Truve in downtown Oakland. He also trains clients 2 days a week in San Francisco. Jordan epitomizes the best in his field and will help you get the results you're looking for.
