Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: Open Gate Travel is a full-service travel agency doing air, rail, cruises, escorted tours, independent foreign and domestic itineraries, honeymoons and beach destinations in every area of the world! From a weekend getaway to a multicountry itinerary, I work with you to design the perfect trip. With the exception of air tickets, I do not charge fees for my services and expertise. I have many long-time clients whom I have worked with in my over 19 years in the travel industry, and I love to help them discover new places and cultures but keep to their budgets at the same time. As you can imagine, I love to travel and have been fortunate to experience many of the places I send my clients to. Because of this, I can offer more in-depth information than can be obtained just by looking at pictures on the internet. Why spend hours, days, and weeks trying to navigate through the online maze of travel offers, air schedules, hotel pictures, and reviews, only to be disappointed when you arrive at your destination? I will take all of your ideas, preferences, and concerns, and from those elements, I will design your wonderful and stress-free vacation. All you will have to do is pack your bags!

FAQs

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I attend at least 4 or 5 continuing education seminars per month as well as numerous webinars to keep up to date with destinations, new hotels & resorts, new cruise ship introductions, etc. I also participate in agent familiarization trips to learn about the country, culture, different levels of accomodations, and activities that I can then tell clients about.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

I think that an initial conversation either by phone or in person is essential to the trip planning process. I can often identify areas of concern or even discern travel styles of clients in having a converstion with them versus just getting an email with their travel dates and preferences. The rest can all be done via email.
