I hired Kandis to help me learn the basics of Yoga, mainly how to focus on my breathing (I have lung issues) that would help me reduce the stress in my life. She has a very calming aura about her and one that makes you feel totally at ease! She was flexible with her schedule and I like that she came to me! I would highly recommend Kandis, I feel that she connected right away and understood my needs and did not push me to fast. At the end of each session, I felt totally calm, relaxed and at peace.....just what I was looking to achieve!

Veronique was awesome! She's a very experienced teacher, both in and out of the water. For example, she would usually begin with exercises and techniques that would translate beautifully once instruction moved into the water. I thought that was very smart -- my son grasped the concept on dry land, but then executed it in the water (clever!) She made a strong connection with my son, also -- he looked forward to training with her and I'm confident her instruction will stay with him as he begins competitive swimming in the fall. I wish we could pack her up and bring her back to LA with us -- she's that good! Instead, we'll reach out next summer when we're back in Tahoe.

Melissa is an amazing instructor. As a 50 year old woman I was apprehensive about trying yoga, but I really wanted to try. I am so thankful Melissa was my first teacher. She made me feel comfortable and not embarrassed. I learned so much, I continue to practice what I learned from her and she gave me confidence to go to other classes. Yoga needs to be a part of my everyday life, without her influence I would have missed out on all the wonderful health benefits of yoga!

Justin is AWESOME. Working with justin has been a lot of fun. Not only with strength trainining, but flexibility and core training with yoga and acroyoga with my girlfriend and I. I go to justin to boost my workouts and mix things up. I'm a functional movement based sports doctor and I can tell you that I'm impressed with Justin's approach to exercise and wellness. No matter how much you think you know, you'll still learn more, reach your goals faster, and benefit from seeing an experienced and knowledgeable trainer like Justin. He's also big on nutrition, which is fundamental to being and feeling healthy. His company Kula Wellness also does meal prep which is pretty cool. 5 stars!!

I have taken yoga from Sierra for over four years. Her attention to the details of practice and finer points of yoga lifestyle kept me coming back week after week. She is attuned to the seasons and changes they bring as it affects the yoga practitioner. As a new student, she will carefully guide you, but she will also deepen your own long practice.

I've been receiving yoga instruction from Courtney for over a year. She offers a warm and supportive environment while challenging you to build strength and test your comfort zone. The reason I enjoy yoga with Courtney so much is that she helps you to approach these challenges playfully. Because of her "just try" and "don't overthink it" mantras and willingness to help me modify, I have become the person practicing handstands during standard downward dog poses, after eight years of yoga and never enough courage! I'm so grateful to her, and happily traipse the Bay Area to attend her classes to suit my ever dynamic schedule. I highly recommend Courtney!

Karen is an amazing Yoga instructor. She is working with me to build strength and avoid injury to back, shoulders and neck. KAren works hard, prepares for the classes and works on developing an individual program that takes my older body and injuries into consideration. I definitely highly recommend her and her services.

I had a private yoga session with Claire and as someone new to yoga, I felt that Claire's instruction was clear and helpful. I've gone through a few yoga techniques on my own following the instruction of youtube videos, but I found Claire's session to help take me to the next level. She corrected my form and technique to help me get the most out of my yoga and I could really feel the difference in what I was doing before versus what I learned from the private session. Claire helped me loosen up my hips and introduced a few new poses that I've added to my routine and helped fine tune the ones I was already familiar with. Overall, I enjoyed my session with Ferox Yoga and would definitely try more classes in the future.

I hired Dasol for a last minute corporate yoga retreat after our instructor canceled. She blew me way with her knowledge of yoga, her easy to follow instructions, and general warmth. She really loves her work and genuinely wants to help people. I would highly recommend taking a class with her if you ever get a chance to schedule her

I am so grateful to have found Apoorva More Yoga on Thumbtack. I was in need of private in-home yoga due to an acute case of Adrenaline Fatigue caused primarily by stress. Apoorva has taught me restorative poses and breathing exercises that have been helpful in relaxing me and reducing my stress level. I would highly recommend her for anyone desiring to develop or strengthen a yoga practice. Besides being kind, empathetic and nonjudgmental, she is very skilled in modeling and teaching yoga so that one can optimize the benefits. Under other circumstances, I would not have thought of private instruction, but now realize that I have gotten more out of my sessions with her than the various classes I have taken over the years.

I typically practice yoga in SF, but when in the East Bay...I do as yogis do & enter the world of serenity & positivity at So Yoga & Healing🙏🏼 The marvelous Margaret led her classes with constant professionalism with a welcoming & casual approach. I appreciate how her classes begin with student participation honoring special requests (e.g. focus on lower body, hips, core, etc.) or considerations (e.g. those with ankle injuries, weak backside, etc.). Most especially, I enjoy each closing savasana that allows one to decompress mentally, emotionally, physically - this is made possible because of Margaret's subtle, yet effective use of aromatherapy oils, a sweet treat every time! And lastly, what makes this class astounded original is the rhythmic beats of reggae tunes accompanying nearly each asana that Margaret carefully guides her students through: cannot wait until the next time & that's for real mon! I have been doing yoga for over a year and a half. At the beginning of my practice I was lucky to meet Denelle. Since my very first yoga class with Denelle I have continued to be her loyal student for several reasons. First, Denelle's class always offers creative poses that tie into an exhilarating flow. Denelle is always punctual starting and ending class on time. She is always cheerful and offers guidance verbally as well as physically. Denelle is amazing at adjusting your body to get it to that perfect yoga form. Denelle always pushing me to work harder and not be afraid to fail in the peak poses. Denelle's playlists are different and varied they mix techno, oldies, rock, rap and mediation music. Her thought out playlists allow every class be unique and exciting. I am so happy to have Denelle in my life and find her to be more than just my yoga teacher she is my friend and mentor. - Jeli

Yoga with Orly

Orly's down-to-earth presence and groundedness as a person and yoga teacher are what I especially love about her teaching style. She is able to create a space in class that allows me, as a student to fully inhabit my practice (without distraction, while also having space to attend to my own practice, individually), while also creating a bigger container to refine my asanas and connect to her and be in practice with the others in the room. I also strongly sense her commitment to the practice, her depth, and feel that what she personally takes away from her own yoga practice truly informs her teaching style, which I find valuable in a teacher.

I've been doing weekly private yoga sessions with Shannon for 3 months. I sought out private sessions in my home because I work at home and it was too disruptive to try to go to a class in the middle of my work day. After factoring in roundtrip travel time, time to park, etc., the advantages of in-home yoga became clear. More importantly, however, I sustained an injury in a previous yoga class and wanted to ease back into yoga in a carefully supervised setting. Shannon is the real deal. She trained in an immersive yoga program in India and understands and embraces the spiritual and meditative aspects of yoga, as originally taught over the centuries. She is not a product of the ubiquitous Western yoga school that cranks out teachers on an assembly line, and her skill level and teaching style reflect the depth and quality of her training and commitment to teaching and practicing yoga. Finally, Shannon is able to skillfully adapt her sessions to accommodate my physical limitations. I'm working on flexibility, am very tight (hamstrings of concrete), but Shannon easily adapts to meet my circumstances in a safe, supportive and kind-hearted manner.

I hired Stephanie as a private yoga instructor & I can't say enough about what a wonderful decision this was. I have tried yoga classes in the past & have always struggled to keep up. Stephanie has been so patient & has explained everything so well. I finally feel like I understand things & am making progress as I never did before. I highly recommend Stephanie for whatever experience level.

Regina was amazing to work with! She immediately recognized things about my body that I've been struggling to identify for years. She gave me clear and specific tools that I can apply as I develop my own practice and attend other group classes. I highly recommend Regina to anyone looking for a more personalized introduction to yoga. I will be booking again with her very soon!

Gina took a very personal approach when we started our lessons. I suffered from sciatic pain after a lower back/ spasm injury due to a bulging disk so decided to try yoga to help strengthen my lower back and lessen my pain. She was always prepared with different poses to improve my health. She has a true passion for the practice and helping her patients. Gina was in it for the journey with me and I really appreciated that.
