    I've been working with Gerard for over a month now... after never working out or touching a weight or machine in my life and I have to say I'm very pleased with my progress and his workouts and nutrition advice ..He's showed me proper techniques and form and taught me how to eat better and strengthen my entire body with an emphasis on my legs and core which has helped me tremendously with my skiing and tennis ...Gerard is funny and knowledgeable and makes the workouts different and challenging every week..I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a first time trainer and or in need of motivation and great workouts !!!

    It has been an amazing experience!* I'm a lazy person when it comes to exercising and I told Gerard about it, I need someone to push me, and he's been great!* he's understanding, always ask me if I feel comfortable enough with what we're doing, he pushes me but, also respecting limits. Every work out is awesome. Everyone I leave the studio my knees are melting and you feel that lovely sore all over your body through next day. And he's constantly motivating me, wich feels great. He's been a great coach and help with this new way of life!* definitely deserves 5 stars!*

    He Knows His Stuff!
    I hired Gerard to help me tone up and lose some weight that seemed "stuck" no matter what I did at the gym. Gerard clearly knows his stuff. He sets up a personalized workout every time we work together-- and he's always changing things up to keep our time together interesting. I feel confident that I am learning effective ways to workout and I am seeing some great results just a few weeks after starting. I've worked with another trainer in the past, but I never felt very motivated or encouraged by him. Gerard is the opposite. He cares about your success and he wants to see you get to your fitness goals as much as you do. Very highly recommended.

    Gerard really knows what he is talking about when it comes to nutrition. He dialed in the right meal plan for me so that I can get to my goal the faster and have the best results. He is also a great trainer and will really give you a full body workout and get your heart pumping. I would definitely recommend him.

    I have been training with Gerard Pommier for the last 3 weeks and love that he always keeps the work outs fresh with a variety of workouts that keep me engaged and looking forward to the next training. It's never the same boring routine. I have enjoyed his workouts so much in NorCal that he also is traveling to train me in SoCal in preparation for my wedding day. Highly recommend. He's a great person and trainer.

    My girlfriend and i train together with Gerard. I am 47. She is 34. We are both fairly active but just wanted to push ourselves more. Gerard has been a great match for us. He challenges us both while addressing our own unique fitness needs. Over a month we have seen great results in our physiques and feel great too. He is also a very nice guy and a pleasure to work out with.

    I’ve been training with Gerard 2-3x/week for a few months now and I can honestly say he is changing my life. Before finding Gerard, I was very unhealthy – I hadn’t worked out in over 4 years and the mere thought of getting back into the gym was both terrifying and intimidating. From the minute I walked into the gym for the initial consultation, I felt comfortable. Gerard is extremely personable, knowledgeable, and passionate about what he does. He is extremely motivating and continues to make each workout something I look forward to, instead of dread. I can say with absolute certainty that he truly cares about the success of his clients.     It has been one month and I am pleased with how it is going. I am a true beginner when it comes to training. I am currently going 3 times per week. I really like that Gerard keeps my interest by changing things up, it never gets boring. I really appreciate how he listens to what I am saying. He remembers if something bothered me with pain or discomfort and adjusts my workouts accordingly. He is also mindful to avoid aggravating old injuries. I know I am a challenging client but we seem to be working it out and finding our way around my many issues. One of the big reasons I chose Gerard was location and my time limitations for my workouts. I have a very odd schedule and Gerard tries his best to accommodate me.

    Truly excellent in every respect. Gerard is a great motivator, valuable source of health information, and creative when it comes to each work-out. Indeed, an hour with Gerard flies by and after only 4 sessions my body already feels dramatically healthier. For anyone interested, Gerard has my strongest recommendation.

    Gerard is very committed to getting me fit through exercise and diet. He is punctual and professional. He adjusts the exercise routines according to my needs and goals. I am disabled and unfit at the moment, and Gerard has adjusted the workouts to gradually build me up, unlike some trainers who push you to the limit and then you are in pain for the next week. I can already feel the benefits from the 4 or 5 workout sessions that I had. I feel stronger and have more physical stamina. Gerard has paid focus to my diet. He provides additional services to help plan and to prepare healthy meals himself, if necessary (since my disabilities prevent me from cooking). He keeps in touch daily, to make sure that everything is OK and that I am eating correctly. He is very accommodating in trying to assist me whenever possible to reach my goals, as in buying groceries, cooking, and picking up meals for me. Gerard is very current on exercise physiology and biomechanics. I would highly recommend him to anyone who is serious about getting their bodies and health in to shape. The convenience of Gerard coming to my home to workout is very appreciated.

    Gerard has been great with me. He's encouraging, but keeps you going. He uses a wide variety of methods to keep it fresh and interesting and is very responsive if you find something painful. He's started helping me really strengthen my back, which has been bothering me for years.

    Gerard is a great personal trainer, highly knowledgable I highly recommend him! He knows how to strike a balance between keeping the work out fun, yet, efficient. In addition to PT, he offers classes and incorporates Beachbody challenge exercises. My favorite is the Abb-session class.

    Gerard will work you and with time you will see results if you put your part in. I've only done a few sessions but I can already see my body changing. I'm excited to see what else he has for me. He has a great personality which makes these sessions that much more fun . I love the workouts he gives me. They aren't easy but who said working out was going to be easy. You will be sweating within minutes. He also has his own gym in San Rafael and also where he lives which makes meeting up easier if you can't make it to San Rafael. He also offers boot camp classes which I also like. It works your abdominals,glutes, legs arms and overall core which is exactly what I need for weight loss. I recommend Gerard P at Evolutionary Fitness if you want to get into shape,achieve weight loss and create a whole new healthy lifestyle.

Yes continually taking classes and reading and taking fitness classes and working with other top professionals

My pricing depends on the length of the commitment (I offer monthly packages and sessions which may or may not include nutritional counseling and meals and or group fitness classes
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've been into health and fitness since I was a kid.playing sports led me to this like of work .
What types of customers have you worked with?
I typically do lots of one on one training and meal plans as well as group training and classes .
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I recently helped a guy lose 50lbs in 3 months and his company paid for the entire training since we met his goal of 50lbs of fat loss ;-)
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Make sure you workout with them and get a feel for their style and gym and that they offer you exactly what u need not just what u want .
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
I wish they knew about the science of nutrition .
