Stephen incredibly knowledgeable and has a wonderful personality, and will push you beyond your mental (which I need most) and physical limits to get most out of the training without screaming at me. He is fully focussed on you while training and whenevwer time permits he quickly jots down my progress and motivates me with all the Instagram recordings :) he is either working out with me to demonstrate or couting my reps or recording the video for my reference. there is decent progress within a month and i am hopeful that I will achieve my target soon with help and motivation from him. I strongly recommend him to anyone for best body and mind :)

Corey is an awesome trainer. First off he asked me what my goals were and when I wanted to reach them. At first I just wanted to drop a few pounds, but then I had to change that to prep for a physical exam for a couple different police departments I was applying for. Corey didn't miss a beat and engineered a plan that not only helped me accomplish my original goal, but got me ready for my employment placement tests. Another great thing about Corey is that he gets to know your personality. I am a bit of a tomboy and really like the outdoors-I hate treadmills or any machinery that doesn't let me move out. Corey encouraged my love of hiking and incorporated that into our workout plan and after a few weeks of circuit training, he introduced me to boxing (which I have come to LOVE). His process works! All the exercises we did during circuit training came together in the boxing lessons and I was thrilled! Corey listens to his clients, gets to know them and works with them towards their goals in a way that is both fun and effective! I don't hate exercising anymore! Thanks Corey!

I have had a wonderful experience training with Anthony at God's Gym! He tailors each work out to my abilities, challenges me to incrementally work harder to build strength, but does not push me beyond my abilities or risk injury. Work outs are challenging, get my heart pumping and leave me with the "good" muscle soreness for a few days. There is minimal downtime in the 30 minute sessions, thus there is no wasted time. This contrasts to my experience during training sessions at other gyms. I feel that these sessions are consistently higher yield compared to my other gym experiences. Anthony, himself, is awesome. He is kind, patient, has a great sense of humor. He is VERY encouraging. He provides nutritional guidance specific for your goals. My schedule can be quite variable, and he has consistently accommodated this so that I could make as many training sessions as possible. The entire team at God's gym is very welcoming and supportive. A great environment, and an amazing community that I am now happy to participate in! Also, I would recommend that those considering this gym should not be "turned off" by the name if they are not religious, people of faith, Christian, etc. This is a comfortable and welcoming place for ALL people to train. :)

I first started working with Evan about 3 years ago and have benefitted tremendously from HIS hard work. He is constantly expanding his knowledge base, testing the latest nutrition and training fads, measuring them against the tried and true and satisfying himself that clients will benefit before unleashing them on us. And when he does unleash his learnings - watch out! The workouts are tough and engaging and if YOU do it right you will leave exhausted, but feeling great, and aching to come back and do it again. And again. Without the personal fortitude to get to the gym without an appointment, I find Evan's routines - and the results - the perfect motivation. I have been an extremely happy, regular client for all 3 of the years I've been training with Evan. I travel frequently for work, so Evan has helped with routines and exercises that can be done in my hotel room. He is also capable of accommodating that travel schedule and training me on a somewhat random, somewhat regular basis, but always picking up where we left off and pushing me/encouraging me to the next level of fitness and awareness. His considerable skills and conscientiousness aside, Evan is funny and interesting, so the sessions are not JUST about training and nutrition. He's worldly and has lots of worthwhile news, stories and information to share. I highly recommend him!

Gerard is a great personal trainer! He offers challenging workouts that have pushed me to reach my fitness goals and tailored my workouts to ensure I avoided flaring up any old injuries .I also found great value from Gerard keeping monthly records of BMI ( body mass index) checks , this allowed both of us to see/ track my progress. I also purchase a nutrition plan along with my training sessions this nutrition plan was easy to follow and offer a jump start to meeting my health goals. This nurtion plan was even able to satisfy my sweet tooth, I have fallen in love with protein cookies, thanks to Gerard!

I first started my fitness journey after learning my body fat percentage had hit a personal high of 27%. It was then I decided to make health a priority in my life and start taking exercise and nutrition seriously. I signed up for Thumbtack and put out a request for a trainer near my home. John was one of the first to respond. We spoke on the phone about my goals and then scheduled a free consultation where we practiced a few basic movements and took my measurements. After our consultation, I committed to 20 personal training sessions. In each session, John tailors exercises with my goals in mind, and pushes me beyond what I think I'm capable of. He is always mixing up exercises to keep things interesting and my body guessing. John has me training with everything from kettle bells and cables, to rowing machines and TRX. In addition to the challenging workouts, John is consistent and reliable. He sends calendar invites for our scheduled training sessions and lets me know in advance if he needs to reschedule. It's now been nearly 18 months since we first started training. I've lost inches of body fat and gained confidence and energy. I look forward to our training sessions and even have my boyfriend hooked on couple workouts with John. :) I cannot recommend him enough for those ready to commit to a healthy lifestyle.

Mo is a fantastic trainer. He is very knowledgeable, a true expert in his field. He's a compassionate, attentive trainer. Be prepared to be pushed outside of your comfort zone during your training sessions. He makes training fun and you'll rarely do the same routine twice. The variety of exercises and support I feel keep me coming back for more...not to mention the results. You won't find a better trainer anywhere else.

I have worked with a lot of trainers before and I wholeheartedly recommend working with Herman, who is hands down the best trainer I've worked with. He is relentlessly positive, always encouraging and helped me reach a lot of strength goals. I really appreciated that he was focused on form and alignment, not about the numbers. His approach helped me have an overall more positive view of my success and improvement. After working with him for six months, I was the strongest I've ever been. He's incredibly responsive in scheduling and was never annoyed when I had to reschedule due to my job that doesn't provide me with a lot of flexibility. Ben is an outstanding massage therapist and personal trainer! I booked him for a deep tissue massage because I could barely move after all my 5k training. I'm not gonna lie, it was super painful but the next day I felt like a new man! He offered me a free training session at his private gym and I took him up on the offer - one of the best decisions I've ever made. He's super detail oriented and showed me a bunch of exercises to make my knees and hips more stable. I ran a mile without any pain for the first time in YEARS this morning and had to write a review! I'll definitely be training with him more frequently and can't recommend him enough. (And the gym is awesome, there's even a backyard training area!)

I've been training with Jason for over three years, and the quality and consistency of his classes keep me coming back. Great variety, well structured sessions with proper warm-up and a combo of strength, movement, and cardio. My wife and I did some couples training sessions as well, and Jason personalized the session with exercises that were fun for us to do together -- it was a lot of fun!

I’ve been training with Ravi Machado now for about 1 year, and I look forward to our sessions every few weeks. My initial goals in wanting to hire Ravi as a trainer were to gain strength and improve posture. I already had a good foundation of how to lift weights but with some recent neck and lower back pain I wanted more guidance on lifting with correct technique as to not cause more pain. Ravi not only has been helpful in those regards, but has taught me a lot more. Sometimes we work out with body weight, or with a combo of weights, and kettlebells. And other times we’ll just focus on Pilates (as he’s a certified instructor), and some sessions we’ll do a combo approach of weights, HIIT training, and Pilates — which is nice and keeps me on my toes not knowing what I’ll expect. What I’ve learned in my time working with Ravi. I need to stretch more (I have tight hip flexors and hamstrings). The Pilates machines are perfect for doing just this, and even though I dread stretching at times, it’s so necessary to prevent further injuries. I sit and drive a lot for work, and though I’m an active person and fit, he helps me identify those trouble areas of my body that I need to prioritize with stretching (and strengthening) — and we all have them. And not to mention that Pilates is a killer workout! I’ve learned to focus on my back and strengthen my shoulder/back stabilizers to help combat neck pain which has definitely lessened as a result of working together. I also now know how to properly swing a kettlebell and give myself an awesome leg workout in a short period of time. If you’re looking to add variety to your workouts, get stronger, become more flexible, improve posture, and become more aware of how your body and muscles behave and hold onto tension, definitely work with Ravi! I promise you you won’t be bored and his down to earth personality and expert knowledge regarding personal training and Pilates will keep you coming back for more workouts. - Mike N, San Francisco - 5/31/18

Matt is working with me twice a week on strength training especially for my core. He is very knowledgeable, professional, and very pleasant to work with. He is patient yet on each machine or exercise he frequently asks me if I can go up on weight, stretch further, etc. He creates a varied routine for me & I enjoy the sessions. Matt is always looking out for my safety & guides me as to proper form. He always takes into account my specific weak areas. He is flexible w scheduling. I've worked with three very good trainers however, I feel I've made the most progress toward my goals with Matt. I look forward to my sessions with Matt & my mind/body feel good when I go home. I know I'm in good, professional, experienced hands.
