First Mother Nature cleaned a throw rug non-toxically for me. It came out perfect. Then they cleaned 700 sq ft of tile flooring with grout. That too, came out perfectly. I am sensitive to chemicals and I am most grateful that they use all natural products. Hooray for them (and hooray for all of us)!

Stephani and her team were so easy to work with and the results were every bit as good as I’d expected from other reviews. Plus, my apartment smelled fresh and clean; not like bleach and Pine Sol like some cleaners I’ve used. I’ll definitely hire them again.

Liliana and crew were absolutely amazing in their work. My regular cleaners (team of 3) take 2 hours to do the job while Liliana ( team of 2) took over 6 hours. They cleaned the house so thoroughly that I booked them for another assignment on the spot. I wish they would consider weekly / biweekly/monthly service so that I could make them my "go to" service.

Fixed my fence faster than expected and looks good. Very responsive to messages and payment was also easy through Zelle. One small issue was that they did not do enough cleaning and shards of wood were left on the grass, which isn't safe for kids.

Leopoldo & his wife did a fantastic job cleaning my carpets. They were very thorough, punctual and did a great job. I would recommend them to all of my family and friends. They also had very helpful suggestions! He also gave me a quote for housecleaning. If I had to describe their service in one word it would be FANTASTIC!

Understand we can’t give 5 stars only because WE are extremely meticulous house cleaners... WHEN we have the time to clean. So some thoughtful crevices were overlooked like the windowsills, but you wouldn’t notice it. Her floor cleaning is magical, and she was very receptive to me pointing anything out and perfecting it. Very clearly not slacking!

Great service. Our carpets were horrible with years of previous stains and new puppy spots in numerous places. We needed them sanitized cleaned to last thru puppy training before we replaced them. Dan ran the 360i with pet solution thru the entire house and the carpets and smell look amazing. We were embarrassed of our carpets before and now we can have company over without the dread of our family and friends grossing out. Thx u Dan you were very kind and professional. Great job! See you in the future for tile and grout cleaning.

They did a great job. Very meticulous in cleaning off surfaces that we didn't even ask them to in the kitchen and on the window sills. Knew exactly what to do without much direction from us like cleaning out gunky stuff from the bathroom tile grout. Left the mirrors streak-free clean, and vacuumed up any dust that fell from cleaning other surfaces.

Finding Max has been a dream! Previously, I didn't get my place professionally cleaned on a regular basis because I was always disappointed with the quality and inconsistency of service as well as the punctuality of the cleaners. When Max comes I can always count on him to be on time, incredibly friendly, and leave me with an immaculate apartment. It's also incredibly easy to schedule time with him (over text) and pay him (he accepts Venmo). I recommend him to everyone I can, and everyone who's tried him has been extremely happy with the results! Thank you, Max!!

Francisco and Luis are amazing. They leave my house looking like something from a magazine. They get all the details and don't miss the hard to reach areas. They use high quality products and are very careful with our expensive light fixtures and high end furniture. We've had other cleaners before who have carelessly rammed their vacuum into our baseboards and furniture, or broken items, and Francisco and Luis always are super conscientious and mindful, which I really appreciate. They are friendly and on time, reliable and their prices are competitive. I trust them explicitly! 😊

These people were amazing! I scheduled a deep cleaning with them only a few days before our apartment move-out date. When our move-out date came, my roommate and I left to unpack at our new apartment while they cleaned. When we got back later for a final walkthrough with our landlord, we couldn't believe how clean the apartment was. Even our landlord commented on the fact that we must have hired great cleaners. We ended up getting our entire security deposit back.

I am beyond happy with the quality of nayanne’s cleaning services, I could not be happier with how our home looks thanks to her. She cleaned places that I wouldn’t even have thought of, she took her time cleaning and made sure that we were happy with the quality of her work before leaving. She even re arranged some of our belongings that looked even better than the way we originally had it. My bathroom looks beautiful thanks to her. She is so kind and sweet and I know that I can trust her with my home, I won’t be looking anywhere else for cleaning services and I would gladly refer her to all my friends and family. My house has never looked cleaner. She was so kind as to clean my my baby’s toys that was so sweet of her and I am very thankful.

She has always done an excellent job and I look forward to coming home the days she cleans. We feel very thankful to have her and would recommend her to anyone that needs an detailed, caring and honest house cleaner.

Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

How can I get my grout clean?

Dirt, mildew and grime can make your grout lines look downright tragic. If you have the ability, DIY tile and grout cleaning is definitely doable. Your main obstacles are time, project size, availability of the right materials and effort. Your first step in tile and grout cleaning is making sure the surface area is cleaned of basic dirt and buildup and wiped down. Be sure not to use a bleach-based cleaning agent, which could react dangerously with the vinegar used in later steps.

Depending on the delicacy of your tile and grout, it may be wise to start with water and friction before proceeding to a cleaning solution. In the shower you can spray the area while brushing gently, or use a spray bottle filled with warm water on countertops or floors. If water won’t do the trick, try a solution of equal parts warm water and white vinegar, and repeat the gentle brushing motion. This combination should begin to lift dirt and grime from the grout. For additional tile and grout cleaning power, baking soda applied directly to grout lines and sprayed with your water vinegar solution can help suds off sticky grime. If your DIY cleaning solutions aren’t doing the trick, store-bought sprays and pastes may have more cleansing power. Rinse thoroughly after cleaning and enjoy your sparkling clean grout.

Tile and grout cleaning supplies include:

  • Old standard or electric toothbrush
  • Stiff bristle brush
  • Spray bottle
  • White vinegar
  • Commercial grout cleaner

How do professionals clean tile and grout?

If you need tile and grout cleaning and don’t have the time or mobility for scrubbing your entire house on your hands and knees, it’s time to turn to the pros. Tile and grout cleaning professionals have industrial-grade machines designed for the sole task of cleaning the porous materials of grout and tile. Typically, a cleaning pro will come out to assess the job and provide you with a quote. Often they charge per square foot (for example, 75 cents per square foot), with higher prices or an hourly rate for areas that will need hand cleaning. The national average cost for tile and grout cleaning ranges from $190 to $250. Once onsite, the pros thoroughly clean the area by wiping or sweeping down and then vacuuming up any dry dirt. Next a chemical tile cleaner is sprayed over the surface, causing dirt to loosen and adhere to the spray; the industry term for this is “suspension.” The pros then clean the floor with professional-strength machines, which often use a combination of steam, brushes and vacuum to loosen, agitate and lift entrenched dirt. Your floor is then rinsed, removing all the spray. Usually a small room can be cleaned in under an hour. Applying a sealant afterward is recommend and will also affect cost.

How much does it cost to clean tile and grout?

The national average cost for tile and grout cleaning ranges from $190 to $250. Pros may charge a flat fee or by the square foot. Rates can vary depending on the type of tile and grout you have (more delicate tiles may mean specialized products or careful handwashing), how dirty your tile and grout are, and what part of the country you are in (regional labor rates and costs to do business affect costs). For example, one floor cleaning company charges 75 cents per square foot for tile and grout cleaning for projects that permit cleaning by machine. Another company may charge $30-$50 per hour for hand-cleaning of tiles. Companies often charge a minimum fee for services to ensure their business expenses are met when they accept a job, no matter how small. In addition, a tile and flooring cleaning professional may charge added fees, such as $25 or more, to move heavy furniture or appliances.
