Prior to working with JJ, my lifestyle wasn't very active. I knew i needed a personal trainer to help with my exercise routine, and JJ was the perfect guy. Since I started working with him 2 months ago, I am now definitely stronger, and he'll push you during training but still make it enjoyable. He also pointed out the things I needed to maintain during my off days, such as cardio. I definitely recommend him to help anyone who wants to start an active lifestyle.
I've had many trainers over the years and I can confidently say that OJ is by far one of, if not the best. First, he's extremely approachable and not intimidating. He makes you feel super comfortable and not self conscious which for most of us girls is critically important. Even though he works with top NBA/NFL athletes, he still makes you feel comfortable and special. He creates a program specifically based on your personal needs and goals while also educating you on some additional areas that might be beneficial as well. For me, I really just wanted to focus on my upper body and my cardio but he had a way to incorporate some lower body exercises within the program that complemented what we were doing. OJ is patient and extremely invested in making sure you achieve your goals. He is motivating without being pushy. But...he also knows how to push you to get the very best out of you. Lastly, OJ is constantly working on his craft. He's continually educating himself and his clients on the newest methods and most efficient ways of training, not a lot of trainers I've worked with do this. He's there for you and for someone like me who is all about relationships in business and in life this goes a long way. OJ gets my highest recommendation.
I had no idea what to expect when I started looking for a personal trainer. I just knew I had to do something more than join a gym, and never go. Taking the free assessment session with Hugo was one of the best things I have done. You can definitely tell that he knows what he is doing. He is always well organized, hardworking, and dedicated to you, and your training. He's extremely patient with you, and always encourages you too. You are also provided with a meal plan that is easy to follow, and instructions for cardio training as well. In the past year that I have trained with him, I have lost over 30 lbs, and 4 inches off my waist. Not to mention I feel much better, and am stronger physically. I couldn't have done it on my own, and I don't mind paying for the help to get there. Hugo always works with your schedule, and is pretty accommodating. He truly cares, and wants you to succeed. You definitely get what you pay for, and it's worth it. If I didn't relocate up North, I would still be training with him today. If you want the best, train with Hugo!
Hands down Jobi Morrison is the BEST personal trainer! I have been training with Jobi for 5 years. I'm the strongest I have ever been! My workouts are never boring. I always look forward to see how he will challenge me with cardio, strength and balance and I am never disappointed! Jobi always takes the time to listen to my questions about fitness and nutrition and always provides sound advice. I usually shy away from recommending people or businesses, but with Jobi and Fitness Comes First I say Go Now! You will NOT be disappointed!
Donna is an amazing trainer. She really listens to my needs and helps me reach my goals. She knows when to push and when to ease up. She truly understands the human body, building muscle and increasing strength. She is very passionate about what she does and it shows. She checks on me outside of my training sessions to make sure I'm eating healthy and doing my cardio.
I have been working with Emile for about 6 months now. My goal was to improve my health, by losing about 50 pounds and improving my body fat %. It was important for me to find someone who could not only give me work outs, but also give me nutrition advice. What I liked is that Emile began by focusing only on the nutrition portion of the program. It gave me a chance to adjust my lifestyle in steps and ensure that I wasn't overwhelmed by too many new "rules". Once I started working out at M2, it felt like I had a handle on my eating and I was ready to push harder. Over the past 6 months, I've lost 25 pounds and improved my body fat % by more than 10%. I feel better than I have in a long time and have more energy than I did when I started. I've added a lot more strength training to my workout routine which is very different from how I used to work out (mostly cardio). I like that he uses online tools like my fitness pal and fitness builder to support the program because it makes it easier to stay on track. I am about half way to my goal, and I'm excited about continuing my progress. I also like that we take measurements and photos periodically because it's been rewarding to see my progress. Emile also does a good job of creating a sense of community at M2, so it's great to have a support team any time you are in the studio. Everyone that I've come across has been motivated and friendly. One thing that I would like to see improved is how and where resources are posted. It would be great if there was one place to access videos and communication as I've lost track of where things are posted or at least one place to find all the links to the resources. Overall, I've been really happy with my results. It's been amazing to hear family and friends compliment me on my appearance after all the hard work I've put in. I feel like I've turned the corner on my fitness goals and that Emile has taught me something that will help me sustain this lifestyle for the rest of my life. I'm grateful for that.
Hmmm... I'm not really sure how to write a review for this guy without sounding like a cheesy advertisement, but really, that's just how wonderful he was. I've been a long distance runner since I was 12 (I'm 26 now) and cardio has always been my preferred exercise. I've been plagued with injuries off and on for the last couple years so I decided I would give personal training a shot, learn how to sculpt and work out my body in a different way. I am so glad Manuk was up to the task. He sat me down and asked me exactly what I wanted to accomplish during our time together and what my long term goals were. He gave me an overview of what he thought the best plan was to meet these goals and always answered my persistent (and annoying) questions. One of my biggest problems with being in the gym and trying to convert to a healthier life style is accountability. I can work hard in the gym with Manuk three days a week, but it's the times that I wasn't with Manuk that made it hard because it was easy to "cheat". Manuk makes himself accessible to his clients. He encourages you to share apps such as my fitbit and my fitness pal to help with your nutrition, he encourages you to text him when you have questions... and I do mean any question. This guy even gave me tips on what booze would be least damaging to meeting my goals when it came time to go on vacation with my friends. The most helpful thing about Manuk, however, is how much he cares. There were times were I had personal things going on in my life that really affected my performance when I would meet with him, but he would be right there in that moment with me telling me he understands and encouraging me to use that in our work outs. And it worked. I, unfortunately, had to move 400 miles away for work and family, but I have yet to really click with any fitness instructor or trainer the way I did with Manuk. He's just that genuine (something I'm finding out is pretty hard to come by in this industry) and just that great.
I needed to hit the gym but just wasn't motivated. I saw Vinny training a client and liked how he included a lot of boxing and kickboxing. After 18 30-minute sessions, I have to say I feel great. Vinny knows his stuff! There is no doubt that he is aware of all the techniques. He doesn't promote any products and is always willing to help you. I would 100% recommend him to anyone reading this. He increased my cardio ability as well as strength. He determined that a full body workout was the way to make me lose weight and gain muscle. He was right, as usual. Seriously, stop looking for a trainer and call Vinny!
So many times I have tried to lose the weight that I gained over the last 10 years. I wanted to feel that confidence again when I looked at my body in the mirror. I have tried many diets, gym memberships, DVDs and other trainers. I crossed paths with Meghan through my daughter and it was one of the best things that could have happen to me. I was at a low point with feeling that I was never go to lose the weight and would probably never get back the confidence. Meghan was my trainer for 4 months and in that time I found someone that not only knows whats she is talking about but each and every time I trained with her she was not only my motivational support in my physical growth but emotional as well. She helped me look in the mirror and not see all the imperfection but all the wonderful accomplishments I was making with my strength and cardio training! Meghan loves what she does and it shows in the way she lives and in the way she lets you know she is invest in YOU, it not just a job to her. She will walk you through a grocery store and teach you what to look for, she will text or email you recipes, she will educate you on workouts and she will teach you about the importance of a healthier you rather than a thinner you, that will come with just learning to be healthy. My knowledge on exercise and food has come so far and I have been working on my own using the tools she taught me to continue toward my overall goal. This time I know I will reach them and the game changer was her.
I have worked with Aaron over the last couple of months and he's great! I saught professional help after I found out I have a hormonal imbalance called PCOS. Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome occurs in 1 in 20 women, developing from puberty, it stole my life. I was overweight, with an insulin resistance, mood disorder, sleep apnea, hair loss, high testosterone level, and a high risk of heart disease and ovarian cancer. Since working with Aaron I feel like he taught me to gain back control of my life. I'm 40lbs lighter, with more energy and good health than I ever thought was destined for me. A big part of Aaron's program is paleo eating, which helped my insulin levels because I wasn't eating processed foods, carbs, or sugar. I also can't induce too much stress on my body because of the delicate hormone balance, my workouts with Aaron are helpful and stress free. We figured out what I can do physically and than slowly pushed me to higher levels. We do a lot of strength training, cardio intervals, and balance work. I never knew how weak my back was until I started working it out. Now, I have less back pain, more confidence in my bodies abilities, balanced moods, less acne and inflammation. In December I had blood work done and my insulin and testosterone levels have made a 180' change to normal. Working with Aaron was literally a life changing decision for me! I would recommend him to anyone looking for a healthy change back to basics!
Sandy is such a lovely person to have as a trainer! She thinks of different hour long work outs for you for every time you train! We did a mixture of cardio and weight training, with special attention to the places on my body I wanted to tone. She's super personable, friendly, approachable, and generous with her time. I also lost a few inches the first month I trained. She was also willing to meet me at a local park or my own residence, which was helpful with certain weather conditions. I would recommend her to anyone who wants personal training--if you're looking for someone who yells at you and is more of a "sergeant" about it, though, this isn't for you.
Gil was an incredibly effective and motivating trainer. With his extensive educational background and understanding of balancing the weights, with diet, and cardio - I find training with Gil to already have significant effects not only on my body but also my overall health. I also appreciate the constant communication even when I'm not around and traveling, making sure to keep me on track and keep my diet in line with the overall goals of my training. he's a great guy and couldn't recommend him more to anyone out there that wants to get into great shape, better shape, or really just kickstart a healthier lifestyle.
I’ve been going to Summit Fitness and specifically training with Michelle since about March, 2015. She’s such an awesome trainer, I love and respect her approach to training in that she incorporates a variety approaches, activities, and exercises that range from the typical to the not so typical. For example, for strength training we of course use weights and resistance but she also routinely incorporates yoga and martial arts exercises into the mix which keeps it both interesting and at times dare I say fun! I would also describe her approach to training as being holistic in that she recognizes that it’s not just about building up one’s strength and cardio; flexibility, diet, deep stretching, etc., are as equally important and sometimes entire sessions are devoted to just that which as a long-time runner I know my legs desperately need. I really can’t say enough about her, other things that have been huge plusses for me are 1- she’s a female trainer and as such she has been able to provide a level of comfort I’m not sure I would be able to have with a male trainer especially when doing certain exercises or taking my body measurements and 2- how attentive she is to the needs and goals of all her clients. She genuinely cares about us and her actions prove that… just ask the clients who she has gone athletic shoe shopping with or has met at the track to jump start a running regiment.
I've been through a few trainers in the past couple years, and Jeff Paquet has definitely been the standout. His workouts cover a wide range of muscle groups, while simultaneously getting a great cardio workout. This has done wonders for my weightlifting goals. Jeff's obvious passion toward exercising and training makes each session fun and effective. I always get the feeling that he wants me to reach my goals as much as I do. I call Jeff a trainer and a friend. Definitely recommend him.
If you want results, Hi-C – Fitness is the place to obtain your fitness goals. I’ve been a member of Hi-C – Fitness since January 2016. Before becoming a member I weighed 240 pounds and now I’m down to a lean 210 pounds. I had issues with my cardio and endurance, which Hillary helped me improve on. By doing so, it helped me push my limits by allowing me to work out harder. The techniques that Hillary applies to her workout routines are unique and caters towards the individual, which ultimately produces results. I highly recommend Hi-C – Fitness if you are serious about your health and fitness.
I have trained with Tom for over 10 years. He's the best there is! His knowledge of EVERYTHING is tremendous! Strength training, cardio, nutrition, core training...everything! He is wonderful and positive person who will support and inspire you to reach your goals. I would give him 10 stars!!
I consider myself a rather active and engaged in my own fitness, so when I moved to Irvine, I did not see myself changing my routine. That is until I hit a plateau. I met Lamar during a cardio session at my local gym. His affable personality immediately indicated that he was not there to sell me anything, but rather, extol some much needed fitness knowledge. We set up a time for a complementary training session and assessment. Oh, geez, I learned so much about how much harder I needed to push to reach my goals. Lamar was very honest but practical. My favorite part is that he gave me things to do to enhance my current workout at no charge! This says a lot about a about his dedication to and love of fitness. After I worked out, I was so sore but knew I had a lot of room to grow to make gains. I subsequently signed up for his one-on-one training and am so happy I did as I would never have believed I could push past my current stagnation. It is so clear that Lamar loves what he does and it translates into the passion he he displays when with his clientele. He will push you, no doubt, but it's in service of your goals, and thus, well worth it! -Kai
Ben is fantastic, finally broke my resistance to cardio and got me doing treadmill sprints with incline intervals. His dedication to come to my home gym and force me to do cardio then a fast weight workout has changed my perceptions of working out....heck he's even gotten me over the dreaded fear of leg days by diversifying my routine every time. I'm lost inches from my waist and have gained significant stamina now after training a few months....plus I don't get sick or dizzy after my sessions have stuck to his plan to better my physique! Ben is awesome, doesn't make me feel inferior when I can't complete a set or yell at me like some trainers but does push me when needed. I recommend him to anyone looking to getting back into working out and actually enjoying it.
Amazingly well-rounded exercise that included: ciruit; cardio; cycling and Pilates...all within one hour!
I love Jackie’s blend of Pilates, HIIT, strength training, low-impact cardio and other techniques. I’m seeing great results- much better tone, and more strength and stamina- and her positive attitude plus the variety in our workouts keep me motivated and energized. I can see and feel huge improvements in my core strength after just a couple months! I’m so happy to be working with her!
As an individual that only discovered fitness in my late 20's I fully understand clients that are nervous about starting a fitness program I was one of those people I specialize in working with all levels and ages in an encouraging and effective atmosphere
