Introduction: In 2008, a collection of professionals from the bulk paper and personal security industries came together to conceptually form an information destruction company. Shred Connect took a year to define its business plan, conducting research on shredding services in Southern California. We found that the residential and small-business sectors were ignored. Costs were inconsistent, jobs were hurried and customer service was lacking. Destruction of digital information seemed less important than the printed document. Mission Shred Connect’s philosophy is simple: Provide superior service at an affordable price. Serve the under-served, don’t impose minimums or tack on hidden charges, and -- smile.
