This is the third time I have had Greenside Carpet/Dryer Vent Cleaning Service clean my rugs. They are very efficient, , personable, professional and do an incredible job of first spotting the areas needing extra attention, moving furniture if needed and properly cleaning areas that you have asked them to clean. I had a project challenge I was struggling with and they stepped up without my asking and assisted me. That got extra stars for going the extra mile. Thanks guys. You'll be back!!

Serviz is great. Lee has been very professional and considerate to customer's needs. I started with carpet steam cleaning and can't help to use their services for everything else. The prices are reasonable as well.

I am very happy with the care and cleaning by Charles and his team Air Duct Professionals. Apparently dryers should be cleaned every year (and Charles says you can use a leaf blower in the disconnected dryer entry one year and alternate with the pro your second year). Heating cooling ductwork should be cleaned every 5-7 years. I didn't know that, but can see how this makes sense. My ducts were filthy, as I had never had them cleaned, and after 14 years I was prompted when my dryer lost its efficiency. Charles and his team did fine work. They arrived on time, cleaned up during and after, including cleaning vent covers and floor sweeping any escaped debris (like old paint chipped overspray from the builder). The job took over 3.5 hours on my two system, 20 vent household. Charles was very knowledgable, inspected the job and then took the extra effort of going into the attic to check the condition of the ducts themselves. He pointed out that skipping this step could make the whole cleaning process a waste of time. He found a couple of holes made the repairs at no charge. He also did extra work with the attic for me--observing it needed cleanup, including removing a dead bird, which prompted me to give him a hefty tip. Meanwhile the team sealed the vents and vacuumed/cleaned them thoroughly. The dryer vents out of my roof, and I hadn't realized the end cap (deflecto) had blown off and was missing. It left an opening in the roof for the bird to get into my attic and also was the reason my dryed vent was clogged-- with a second big fat (dead) bird that had flown down the tube, which Charles desposed of. Charles has a background in fire restoration/cleanup, and this knowledge showed in his work. He also pointed out that when I run the dryer I must turn on the fan and shut the laundry room door to keep lint from escaping into my house. He also recommended I start using a better filter than my current (which the company does not sell), the 3M Filtrete. He also replaced the dryer/wall connector as mine had screw holes for lint to escape. He showed me how much lint had collected around the holes, some of which went airborn. So not only did Charles, Jasmine and Jevan do great work, I also learned from this experience. The Deflecto replacement required someone with a long ladder to tackle the job. I hired a second company who also cleans ducts (they didn't bring their long ladder, though I had explained what the job needed). They came, and they inspected Charles' work because they said some air duct cleaners don't really do a good job, that the ducts still might need cleaning, but after inspecting there was no need for any more work. So I would say the second company gave (tacit) good reviews to Charles' team as well.

The guys who came to replace my water heater were friendly and professional. They spent a lot of time sourcing the right, hard to find sized water heater that would work and vent best in the odd shaped "basement". A+, top notch, would recommend to a friend.

Fantastic to work with Joel Mayorga of Platinum Plumbing He was the first to respond to my work request. Answered every question almost immediately! I have tenants living in my home in Los Angeles & I live in Miami. I wanted someone I could feel confident with doing the work 3000 miles away. My tenants have been going without hot water due to ineffectual work by American Home Shield repairs My former TAKAGI tankless was never vented properly nor valves put on for easy maintenance. It was a 15 year old tank Joel described via this app exactly what I needed. I sent him photos so he could see the space. He offered me several options I decided to get a NEW Noritz tankless heater. He was at my leased home within 2 hours ; new heater & all necessary parts in hand! It was a big job but in a few hours; DONE! He returned the next day to make sure all was ok & water temp was holding. He even serviced my HVAC heater at no extra cost! Will I be using JOEL again?! YOU BET I will! Using him for ALL my heating & AC & plumbing needs!

Hector showed up right on time. He is very professional and inspires instant trust which I was able to confirm based on his behavior and work ethic. He did a great job installing a bathroom vent, fixing an electric outlet and door latch. He is very honest and he's pricea are reasonable. I have asked him to return and do some plumbing work in addition to other hone projects. I plan on using him for all my future hone repair and projects. I highly recommend him.

Charles and his team did a great job. They were very thorough and made sure the job was done right. They even came back after I was still having issues with my dryer just to make sure everything was totally cleared out for no charge. The issue ended up bing my dryer and not the vent. Thanks again.

From the beginning to the end I had a very pleasant experience with Attic Renew 360 Corp, Making appointment was easy and the representatives at the office were courteous and very nice. Technician Sam, called to ensure he is coming on time and was very thorough in explaining the process. The whole process took much less than expected as Sam also had his assistant doing the work while he spent time talking to me. They did a deep cleaning in my airduct system and also cleaned my Dryer Vent plus inspected my furnace. Excellent service showed up on time very polite and knowledgeable crew. Will use you guys again thanks.

I had engaged these guys in cleaning both my love seat and my couch. I was delighted that I called the day before and I am satisfied with the speed in how fast these guys were able to get to my house. They came on over first thing the very next morning. They had done an excellent job of both cleaning and also throwing in some knowledge of the different treatments which exist in addition to traditional steam cleaning. I believed the price to be extremely reasonable. Great work! I will for sure be using again!

I love my carpet cleaners. They offer a 30-day spot return guarantee. That means that Anaheim Carpet Cleaning will re-clean your carpets to remove the spots permanently. The funny thing is that's the reason I chose them the first time. But, I've never had a problem. They always do it right the first time.

      About

      About

My price is the best in the business at $99.00. MOST IMPORTANT, PLEASE READ!! Before you hire someone to clean your dryer vent, MAKE ABSOLUTELY SURE the price they quote you is for the ENTIRE LENGTH of the vent. Ask that specifically. All other dryer vent cleaners will quote you a price, then after they finish you'll find out the price is for the first 5-10 feet, the rest is $10 a foot after that. RIPOFF!!! On many dryers, the flex pipe behind the dryer connecting it to the wall is already 8 feet. Beware of "big companies" that mostly do air duct cleaning or dryer vent businesses that won't put their prices on their website and tell you they can't tell you how much it will cost until they see it. Dryer vent cleaning is all I do, so I won't be trying to sell you a $400.00 air duct cleaning when I come. $99.00 is my charge for ANY LENGTH DRYER VENT on the first floor. Additional charges are: stackable washer/dryer $30, ladder work $30-$50, roof work $30-$50, under the house trip $75, built-ins $30, water/wet lint/mud/animal/nest in pipe $50, Fantech Fan in pipe $50, Saturday appointment $50, and travel over 12 miles one way, increasing with distance. I charge $99.00 for the first hour of work. If it takes longer than that it will be more, depending on time. That rarely happens. $10 OFF YOUR CLEANING FOR EVERY NEIGHBOR YOU REFER TO DO THEIR DRYER VENT CLEANING AT THE SAME TIME! Neighbor's vent must be cleaned the same day as yours. No limit to the amount of discount. The more neighbors you refer to clean their vent the same day, the less yours will cost. Smart!! I guess the phone number has to be written out here? Three one zero, eight seven two, zero two one nine.

      About

We are a professional air duct and dryer vent cleaning and repair service company in Van Nuys, CA. We are the trusted name for several services in your local area. In fact, it's the most trusted company of people looking for an air duct cleaning service and/or air duct replacement and repair in Van Nuys, CA.

      About

Vents using a great deal of turns and elbows blow worse and build up extra lint. Quite brief vents that come with complete size dryers might by no means need to have cleaning! Most vents, having said that, will need cleaning every two to three years, based around the elements above.

      Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

How often should you get your air ducts cleaned?

How often you should clean your air ducts depends on your situation. If you or someone in the home has asthma or is acutely allergic to certain airborne materials or pollen, regular duct cleaning may be helpful. The Environmental Protection Agency doesn’t have an official position on the necessity of air duct cleaning unless the ducts have been contaminated by rodents, insects or mold, or you are aware of particles blowing out through the vents. The EPA recommends you have your air ducts cleaned on an as-needed basis. The National Air Duct Cleaners Association (NADCA) suggests having air ducts cleaned every three to five years.

Be cautious with companies that offer “whole house air duct cleaning,” urges the NADCA. The company may be using unscrupulous tactics to upsell you once they get started. Before any work begins, always clarify in writing what the job entails and what the cost will be. To protect yourself against fraud, read customer reviews and verify that your HVAC cleaning service has applicable licenses and certifications.

Do you need to clean your air ducts?

Air duct cleaning is done by heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) professionals. The pros use industrial-strength, truck-mounted vacuums and powerful brushes and hoses to clean inside the metal ducts that make up your forced air heating and cooling system. The Environmental Protection Agency recommends duct cleaning if there is “substantial visible mold growth inside hard surface ducts, ducts that are infested with vermin such as rodents or insects, or ducts that are clogged with excessive amounts of dust and debris and/or particles are actually released into the home from your supply registers.”

You should also have air ducts cleaned after recent water contamination or water damage to prevent mold; after renovations or remodeling to ensure debris and dust didn’t settle in the vents and ducts; if you are having problems with allergies or asthma; or when you are moving into a newly purchased home, especially if the previous owners smoked or had pets. The National Air Duct Cleaners Association (NADCA) recommends getting your air ducts cleaned every three to five years, or every two to three years in regions where homeowners use their air conditioning and heater for many months of the year, while the EPA suggests homeowners have duct cleaning done as needed.

How long does it take to get your ducts cleaned?

The amount of time air duct cleaning takes can depend on how extensive your duct system is, how old your air ducts are, and whether they have ever been cleaned. On average, expect a standard size home (between 2,000 and 3,000 square feet) to take 2-5 hours for one to two technicians to clean. Here are the proper protocol and equipment you should expect from a professional duct cleaning service, as recommended by the Environmental Protection Agency:

      • All doors and access ports opened to ensure the entire duct system is inspected and cleaned.
      • Thorough system inspection prior to cleaning to identify possible asbestos-containing materials. If asbestos is present, specially trained and equipped contractors must do the removal.
      • Use of approved vacuum equipment that exhausts particles outside of your house. If the vacuum exhausts inside your home, it must be HEPA equipment.
      • Furnishings and carpet covered and protected.
      • Soft-bristled brushes only on fiberglass duct board and sheet metal ducts internally lined with fiberglass.
      • Ductwork properly protected.
      • Adherence to guidelines and practices set down by the National Air Duct Cleaners Association.

How much does it cost to replace air ducts in a house?

If your air ducts have been damaged, you’ll need to replace them. The national average air duct replacement cost is $150-$280, which may not include materials. Factors such as duct material, labor, location of ducts and linear feet of ductwork will all affect your final costs. Labor costs will vary based on how accessible the ducts are and what material your ducts are made of. The least expensive duct material is a flexible, non-metallic ducting that costs approximately $1-$2 per linear foot. Flexible aluminum is generally more expensive and stronger than non-metallic ducting. Stainless steel ducting is the strongest, the least flexible (meaning installing it typically has higher labor rates), and usually the most expensive. An average price for air duct replacement could range between $35 and $55 per linear foot, including basic materials and labor. A typical single-family home has 6-10 duct runs; replacing or installing one duct run could average $150-$250 for labor.

How much does it cost to have your air ducts cleaned?

If you’re concerned about dust, allergens or mold, it may be time to have your air ducts cleaned. The national average cost for air duct cleaning ranges from $190 to $250. Air duct cleaning costs will vary based on a number of factors such as your location in the country, the age and condition of your air ducts, the number of linear feet to be cleaned, and any repairs your ducts may need. HVAC cleaning companies should clearly outline what is included in their services and at what rate, so always make sure you understand and have a written agreement before work begins. Here are some examples of average air duct cleaning costs:

      • Tiered pricing for different levels of service:
        • Standard cleaning: $100, which may include truck-mounted industrial vacuums, high-pressure air wands and air snakes to clean all supply and return vents, branch lines, and main trunk lines.
        • Advanced cleaning: $200, which may include standard cleaning services, plus rotobrush or viper clean sweep in the main trunk lines.
        • Ultimate cleaning: $400, which may include advanced cleaning, plus insertion of a viper microline into all vents to force debris down the branch lines and into the main trunk lines, to be handled by the viper clean sweep. Typically, all ductwork surface is contacted, before-and-after photos are provided, and the furnace is cleaned.
      • A flat rate for unlimited vents: $289.
      • Additional fees for larger houses: $20 for each additional 500 square feet over 2,500.
Hire skilled professionals for absolutely everything.
