Meryl Stern Interior Design
About this pro
I know Meryl from her beautiful work along the east coast. She has helped me with remodeling and designing my master bathroom, coordinating perfect paint colors for both the interior and exterior of my home, as well as helping me with space planning of all my furniture. I absolutely LOVE everything she has done in my home. I know many people in the area who have also used Meryl Stern Interiors in their homes, offices, and restaurants and her ability to create warm and beautiful spaces is truly a talent!Aug 6, 2015
Meryl was my designer for both my home in the Hamptons and a New YorkCity apartment. She is a a pleasure to work with. She is an extremely knowledgeable and creative professional. Meryl did excellent floor plans, guided me in selecting beautiful fabrics, designed great furniture with interesting finishes and installed the most beautiful draperies. Anyone who works with Meryl will have a fabulous home.Jul 21, 2015
Meryl has an amazing sense for design, color and space. I live in Santa Barbara, and have started re-working the interior spaces in my home of 32 years. Meryl came in with fresh ideas that I never would have though of and helped me with choosing the right furniture, the right color palate, picking the best lighting and helping with freshening the look of living in the same space for 32 years. Meryl pays great attention to detail and knows how to create lovely spaces that enhance the beauty of your home. Her experience in the field and her knowledge of what is out there, really helped streamline our project. I would highly recommend her services to anyone looking for a fabulous Interior Designer.Jul 13, 2015

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? My Fees are based on Project Scope. Typically, I charge a flat design fee based on the number of hours it will take me to research, design, and procure for a specific project.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I meet with all new prospective clients at their homes or businesses to tour their space and discuss project scope, preferences, and budget. From this meeting I determine my design fee and send my contract over for review. Once contracts are signed, we begin!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have a Bachelor of Accountancy from The George Washington University which helps me run my business, and my work as a tax accountant definitely shaped my attention to detail and organizational skills. I also have an Associate's degree in Interior Design from New York School of Interior Design. I worked for one of the world's most prominent designers in NY and went on to form Meryl Stern Interiors soon after that. I have over 24 years of experience in residential, commercial, and hospitality design, and have lived on both coasts in NJ/NY and California. Experience is everything!
