Elmer at J&R landscaping did an AMAZING job at cleaning my 8 month pregnant wife and I’s patio and deck for us. The patio had not been swept or cleaned for over 4 months and he made it pristine within 20-30 minutes. Truly amazing.
And Elmer was so professional, prompt, kind, courteous and his work was incredible! Really great deal and I will be utilizing their services for everything I need in the future and highly recommend their services to everyone in the Santa Barbara area. Unbeatable quality, value and professional friendly fast service. There’s no one else I would ask for any big or small job I need again.

I appreciate the work that Elmer and crew did on my home projects which included a dilapidated fence and leveling of ground leading to a rotten gate post & more. I will definitely work with them again. The cost was reasonable and I recommend them for any landscape problem you might have.

Elmer and his team did a great job of converting our backyard from mix of concrete/grass to pavers and artificial turf. Our backyard looks so nice right now thanks to J&R. Another impressive things was that after we completed the financial transaction, normally it is extremely difficult to get the team back, but after one text, they came back a few days later to clean up and dispose of some stones for us. Will use them again when we make some changes in our front yard next year.

Huge shoutout to Elmer and his crew! Was so happy to have found them. I met with 6-7 contractors for bids. Just never got the response I was looking for. They either gave me an exorbitantly high bid, never replied, were wishy washy when I asked questions. Or could not provide references or seemed sketchy.
I called Elmer, the owner of the business. We set up a time for the meeting. He arrived the next day, 5 min early. Told him what I was looking to do. He looked everything over and said he could have a proposal to me that very day. An hour later he sent me a bid. I hired him immediately. His pricing, for all the work they had to do was exceptionally fair. They started the work Saturday, they worked intermittently over the next few days. By the very next Saturday, at days end. Job was completed. Let me tell you, I was jumping up and down. Not only did my front yard re-do look amazing, I was astonished how cohesive his crew worked together. All soooo friendly, respectful and really have an eye for what they were doing. I very much appreciated how they took pride in their work. I don’t think most people who hire contractors realize that these businesses usually overlap their jobs. Oftentimes, they will be working at one job in the morning, then arrive later in the day to work at another. I never had a problem at the various times they worked. Because they busted out hard work when they were here. It was nice to work with Elmer because I told him my vision and he quite literally just made it happen. I never had to have them re-do anything, because it was perfect. It was such a seem-less job from start to finish. We have had so many compliments from our neighbors about the work they did. I have no objections to their sign in my yard for awhile. Lastly, when the job was done. I loved that the workers moved a table I had made, along with a newly purchased bench to a spot I had designated for it to be. They took it upon themselves to set it up, and make it look so nice for me. I thought that was so sweet. Overall, just a fabulous job. Thank you once again to Elmer & his awesome crew! Kris & Todd
