I had a list of 20 things that I wanted done before the holidays and Kevin took care of all of it. He installed 2 shower heads hung mirrors in both baths, fixed my front door that was sticking and also the short I had in my garage door. He also installed new lights outside. He was on time and cleaned up everything when he finished. I will hire Kevin again. It was a great experience and It was such a relief to finally get all lthe projects out of the way.

Arisel came out to do a number of tasks around the house that had been left too long and were just too much for me to get my head around. He's smart, flexible, listens to what I want, and works hard and fast. I won't hesitate to hire him again. - Built a firewood box - Hung a huge heavy awkward mirror - Caulked and resealed shower and frameless shower doors - Repaired broken sliding shower door - Moved a complicated chandelier from one location to another - Installed three pendant lights in perfect location and arrangement

I hired Casiano's to replace my kitchen faucet. The faucet was making noise and then water spray got clocked. I had already purchased a replacement faucet that was recommended by my HOA, so I just needed someone to come and replace it. I wasn't able to be present, but my renters liked that setup was friendly and professional. When I arrived to inspect the work, I found everything as good as new. I also appreciated Casiano's flexibility to accept payment via PayPal. This allowed me to not bother my renters with payments, inspect the work afterwards and pay without scheduling further visits.

Albino's team helped us do the following projects: 1) Juan painted the kitchen cabinets, bathroom walls and window sills; 2) Hector installed a new shower head and tile walls over the tub; 3) Hector replaced the bathroom exhaust fan twice. (First time my husband bought the exhaust fan which I did not like, so I bought another fan and Hector changed it with additional charge for the labor.) They provided very good services and responded to our request very quick. They also completed the job according to the schedule that they promised. Hector went with my husband to purchase materials and supplies, and they spent about 3 hours shopping at Home Depot. Hector was great in installing the shower head and tiles. He stayed late to complete the job to meet the due date. He also came back to fix the problem which we found after he left. If you need a licensed plumber then you will need to find someone else. However my husband thought Hector was an experienced worker and knew what he was doing. He was impressed when he went shopping with Hector. Juan has come back a couple times to touch up the paint and adjust the cabinet door upon request. We really appreciate their patience and cooperation. Excellent attitude and services. One job on our agreement list that we did not let them do was to replace the mirrors in bathrooms. Our concerns are first they can not guarantee to keep the mirrors intact when removing the mirrors, and second they asked us to get supplies to glue or nail the mirrors. Third, we can't find the right size of mirrors . So I decided to hire the worker who specially do mirrors replacement, even the cost was higher than Albino's team. Last thing, make sure to let them know if you need invoice or not when you get the estimate.

Ben was great. He installed a set of Dreamliner shower doors, a hansgrohe shower pipe system and did some drywall taping and texturing. He was honest, great pricing and very friendly. I will definitely be working with him again.

I needed some paint and other hauling. I decided at the same time I would get a new kitchen faucet installed. Every aspect was flawless and pleasant. Good communication, fast response, first rate work, and a fraction of the price of others. I will use for my other handyman needs.

One of the first things Gleo told me was that he had a regular job and would be able to work on weekends. He did two jobs for me at a rental. One was installing a medicine cabinet and interior lock. He did not complete repair of drywall repair by the cabinet. The other job was installation of a security door. He installed the medicine cabinet, lock and security door in a good manner. He did not complete an addition to the bottom of the security door. He was pleasant, on time, cleaned up well, and cooperative but for the incomplete items. I wanted him to paint a bath in S.F. at another rental but, he did not give me an estimate (perhaps too far away). Manelis Properties

Had my bathroom remodeled by DYI (semi-professional); resulted in unfinished grout, and shower door would not close/open properly. Bill was able to spot and explain the problems in a few minutes. He finished the uneven grout, and gave us a remedy for the shower door.

BJ spent the day doing quite a few small jobs for me, including installing a shower door and a cat door, caulking, and various other needs. When I responded to his thumbtack offer, he stopped by the same day and gave me a very fair quote. On the day he did the work, he called to confirm and arrived on time. He is extremely personable, knowledgeable and professional, and his rates are very reasonable. I would hire BJ again without question.

Jeff remodeled our bathroom. Tore out the existing vanity, mirror and flooring, spackled and textured the walls, repainted, installed vanity, vanity lights, tub/shower faucets, new shower door and installed hard wood flooring. He was thorough, dedicated and an exceptionally good value. You will be hard pressed to find better workmanship and a greater value elsewhere. I will be using Jeff again for any additional home repairs.

Eli renovated the entire home, electrical, plumbing, exterior interior. Great price and good solid ppl working at the house. Most important for me was that not every unexpected detail that came up would end up in a price negotiation. I would work again with Eli and his team.

Justin was great! He was on time, friendly and professional. He installed a new bathroom faucet and a new toilet for us today. He made sure I was satisfied with the work which I was and he thoughtfully answered my questions. The bill was just what he had quoted me - a very fair price I thought. I would call him again for any remodeling or repair needs.

We went from framed to frameless shower enclosure and when the old glass was removed, we quickly realized we needed to make tile repair prior to installing the new glass. We decided to have a different company make the repair. Owner, Michael Compton of Compton Construction quickly responded to my Thumbtack post, set up an estimate appointment and provided me with an estimate the same day. A repair appointment was set up immediately and all was repaired, cleaned up and perfect in just one visit. This was a smooth and fast repair. Michael is great to do business with. He's easy going and easy to communicate with. I highly recommend Michael Compton Construction and will certainly use them again. Five gold stars!!! So happy to find Compton on Thumbtack. (I'd like to add that I received several/max quotes and decided on Compton Construction). -Happy home owner

This is a reference letter for Michael Ngo. It’s done in appreciation for all the beautiful work at our home. Michael remodeled all 3 full baths in our house, including all the electrical and plumbing work. I asked him to remove all 3 old full baths and rebuild all 3 as brand new. Unlike other contractors I had experience with before, Michael is one step ahead. He has strong attention to details and an uncanny eye for style/color coordination/design/functionality and has superior workmanship. I bought my house around 15 years ago and had remodeled my bathrooms once after we bought the house (before we met Michael). The previous contractor did a horrible job and I hated my bathrooms for many years and decided to remodel them again few years ago. I came to know Michael and asked him to remodel one full bath downstairs first just to see how it goes. I told him that I wanted a more traditional look that is suitable for both male and female taste. The result was fantastic and I loved it! Michael took the time to check out the various stones and cabinet designs and when he decided that he formed the right picture in his mind with the various styles, he took me to choose the stone, the cabinet, the faucets, etc. I would pick out of his recommended choices. But sometimes I would look at something else and asked him why he didn’t recommend those other ones and he would tell me why he didn’t think that they were suitable and after hearing his analysis, I would always go back to the ones he recommended. And I couldn’t really picture exactly how everything would finally come together, but he will always reassure me – his usual phrase “Don’t worry, it will look beautiful”. I can assure you I am extremely picky. And sure enough, every time the final result looks beautiful. After I remodeled my downstairs guest suite full bath, I couldn’t wait to let Michael remodel both baths upstairs. I told him I wanted a contemporary look for the full bath for my son’s room. And I wanted a classic and romantic look for my full bath. Both of which came out beautiful and I love using all my bathrooms now and I proudly showcase to all my friends and relatives when they come visit. Michael did a lot of work for my master bath upstairs because I wanted a totally different layout because the old layout was not functional. I wanted more space for the shower and I wanted the toilet to be separated from the shower. He redesigned the space for me so now I have a much bigger shower and the same space looks a lot bigger than before and I asked him to put in a Jacuzzi tub as well. He also added mood lights with dimmer for romantic feel (he took me to pick out the wall lamps at the light décor store), recess lights, etc. He added power outlets in the toilet room (my husband specifically wanted outlet plugs right next to the toilet)! Installed vents for the toilet room and the shower room… All in all, Michael and Reliance Home Improvements crew did a great job remodeling my bathrooms and I love and enjoy the results every day and will sing Michael’s praises to everyone… I highly recommend Michael and his crew if you are looking to remodel your kitchen or bathroom….

I hired Marc to fix a frameless glass shower door that had slipped over time. This is a very heavy glass door that was very difficult for me to fix on my own. I tried and failed. Then I called Marc. He got in touch with me promptly and quoted me for one hour of work ($80) to fix the door. It actually took him a little longer, so he asked for $120, which I thought was fair, considering my door is larger than average and harder to fix. He worked hard, was knowledgable, and personable. $80/hour is a bit steep, but I'd probably still hire Marc for future handy work around the house. I recommend you give him a call if you need something fixed.

Recently I purchased a 2600 square ft. house from 1945. My concern was the high electric bills I was to expect during the winter and high summer temperatures. The staff at Lemon Remodeling was quick to give me an estimate and super fast to execute the job. The walls got pressure-filled, subfloor stops installed and new attic insulation (R49), replacement of thermal windows and door! My house is comfortably fresh, and the street noise is cut down to an absolute minimum. Ask them for your insulation it's the best decision we took! HIGH-QUALITY WORK!

Victor ended up helping me redo a bathroom including partial flooring, installing a shower door and new toilet, new sink cabinet, removing the large mirror and repainting the wall. He was heoric in locating and fixing the main into the apartment unit, situated deepin the garage with no map. Victor also removed all the old items and took them to the dumpster, with a nice cleanup, all at a reasonable price. I would recommend Victor to anyone who needs help in bathroom work, as well.

We wanted a pergola built for our backyard as well as an outdoor shower enclosure. After several interviews with contractors I was getting discouraged at the lack of professionalism. After meeting with Noah, I knew he was the right person for the job. He was willing to work with my design ideas and contributed some additional ideas that complimented our existing plan. He was professional, personable, on-time and most-importantly built us a beautiful structure that we could not be more pleased with!! We asked him back a few months later to build us a side gate for our house. While he was in the middle of constructing that, a massive 80-foot tree fell in our backyard, breaking one of our water faucets and water was flowing freely. Noah called me at work, and was gracious enough to turn off our water, cap the broken water line and save us from an even bigger disaster. He went above and beyond. We will hire him in a second for any future construction jobs we may have!

Mark was wonderful to work with. He responded quickly to messages on Thumbtack and via text. He was punctual and flexible with our schedule. He walked through everything with us, listened to our concerns and needs, and worked with us to stay within our budget and timing, and sequenced projects accordingly. He also has a great sense of humor and was pleasant to talk with. We were very happy with his work and the work of the professionals he worked with for electrical, plumbing, and painting. The work that was done: removal and replacement of 2 windows, walls, and flooring where there was water damage, wood rot, and the start of mold; adding a door to access the space under the front stairs and creating a storage space with tiled floor and drywall; waterproofing / sealing the brick of our front steps and porch; removing carpeting and laminate flooring and installation of new laminate flooring; installing siding on the front of our house and painting of the front of the house (2 stories); texturizing and painting walls; installing a wet bar / kitchenette; replacing shower pan, tile, and shower door; removal of tree and bushes in front yard. I think that’s everything. We highly recommend Mark and would happily work with him again.

Some termite damage was recently discovered, necessitating removal of the tub. Since I have to have the tub removed and some of the floor tile (which has already been removed), it makes sense to update the rest of the bathroom. This is primarily a labor job, as I already have purchased and staged at the house all the tile, mortar, grout, and a new toilet, vanity, sink, faucet, and faucet plumbing connections. The main thing that you'll need to provide is a shower pan (unless you go with a hot mopped shower floor.) I'm trying to keep costs down so am not going with any too extravagant. *** Note: I am only available to meet at the home this Saturday, September 26, since I will be out of town otherwise. There is a lockbox on the house which will provide access to do the work when I'm gone. ***
