I came to Coach Guffey with some personal training goals this year to prepare for the winter ski season. With zero access to a gym and limited equipment, he designed workouts that I could have never come up with on my own. The train heroic app makes it almost impossible to miss a workout, and Coach Guffey is very responsive with feedback on my form and any questions about the workouts I had. The workouts were extremely targeted toward my goals, even redesigning the workouts every three weeks or so depending on what I had access to for equipment while also taking into account my personal work/life schedule to accommodate said workouts. I would recommend Victory High Performance to anybody who is looking for a coach to help push them to the next level.Dec 17, 2020

One of the most professional trainers I have come across in the Bay Area. In my first week,I’ve already managed to lose 4 lbs in about 10 days. Matt is a great motivator and very easy to work with.Dec 27, 2020

My experience with Victory High Performance has been nothing short of fantastic. Coach Matt’s attention to detail is second to none and his insight regarding each movement and lift make it a truly specialized training experience. The programs he designs are personalized to fit my needs and I’d recommend him to anyone looking to become a better version of themselves.Dec 3, 2020
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I book by the month (no "one-offs") and minimum twice per week. The reason being progress is made first and foremost through consistency!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?Typically I will meet with the client to establish rapport, go through a functional movement screen, and do some basic strength tests. Once that's complete we can talk about whether or not VHP is a good fit and how we'll proceed.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I'm a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association and a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. I've been a sport coach, skill coach, and fitness/strength coach in one way shape or form for the last 15+ years.
