My daughter had never taken voice lessons prior to working with Judy and was nervous about it. Judy made her feel comfortable singing right away. She is engaging and provides feedback along the way. My daughter can't stop singing and is excited about her lessons. As a parent, I really appreciate Judy's follow up after each lesson and her professionalism. She has experience teaching and that shows through her structured yet fun approach.May 20, 2020Verified
I am a beginner in learning to sing and Judy has made me feel comfortable with the process. She's very personable and I will continue to take lessons over the next few months.Sep 30, 2013Verified
After having six 30 minutes singing lessons with Judy, my singing abilities have markedly improved! I've noticed the change audibly when I sing and when I listen to old recordings. From the start, we hit the ground running, diving into my problem areas, but of course never without a proper warm up! She uses her perceptiveness and expertise to diagnose issues quickly as well as prescribe exercises that address them. The improvement in my skills are very much worth the investment and saved me lots of time and vocal damage which I would have experienced had I tried to figure things out on my own. I'm truly grateful for what she has enabled me to do with my voice and look forward to working with her in the future.Mar 23, 2018Verified
I’m thrilled to be working with such a professional, experienced and supportive teacher such as Judy! My goal was to start singing and performing in public again. I was concerned that as an older singer perhaps it was too late for me to improve my voice. Right away Judy dispelled that notion. She made me feel as though I can absolutely become a better singer and reach my goals. I appreciated the fact that during our initial consultation she asked me about myself and my singing history. It’s obvious that Judy really cares about her students. During my first lesson I could hear that I was singing better. Each week I’m becoming more and more confident in myself. Aside from the warm up exercises Judy has taught me about how the vocal chords work and how to keep my voice healthy. My voice sounds better and stronger than ever. Judy has designed a training program geared toward my particuar style as well as short and long term goals. I can’t thank her enough!Nov 7, 2017Verified
I did vocal training with Judy for three years and I can 100% attest that she is the best coach I have ever worked with. I have taken lessons for close to 20 years with different voice teachers and Judy took my singing ability to new places, new levels of voice strength, and provided expertise on how to sing correctly in the most effective ways. She not only is wonderfully encouraging and supportive, but she is highly skilled and technically educated to get the best results for each individual student she coaches. I could not give a higher endorsement for Judy as a vocal coach!Sep 5, 2017Review from Google
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Rates are $45 per 30 minute lesson or $65 per 45 minute lesson, paid on a monthly tuition basis to hold the same slot each week. You can also pay for individual lessons without a monthly commitment for $55 per 30 minutes or $75 per 45.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I always offer a complimentary trial lesson/consultation to see if the student and I are a good fit. During the trial, I talk with student to assess their goals and then through a series of vocal diagnostic exercises, I assess their vocal tendencies and issues and design a series of exercises to address their issues. In subsequent lessons , we work on cementing the technique as we continue with the exercises and work on material.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have been singing professionally for 40 years, and have trained with many of the top vocal coaches over the years. I am a member of IVTOM ( International Voice Teachers of Mix) and NATS ( National Association of Teachers of Singing ) , where I have access to workshops and training material to keep up to date with the current pedagogical flow of information. I attend their conference each year.
