I love to sing it´s just fun for me and it makes me happy. But I´m not a singer and don´t even want to go up on stage. I´m trying to be a songwriter andv I was just visiting a workshop at the songwriting school of LA. And on this evening I met Jan the first time. At the moment I´m travelling and I never thought that I would stay in one city that long. But at this evening when Jan made this workshop I swear you guys, I hadn´t laugh that much for a long time. When she asked me if I´d like to come to the class I just had to say yes. It was a heart decision and I don´t regret it! This woman is a very talented singing teacher and also songwriter with a lot of experience, for sure. But she´s much more than that because you can have a REALLY bad week or day, but the second you walk into that class this woman saves your day! She ´s just so funny! Every week I´m looking forward to that day. Of course the most people only want to learn how to sing or to perform but I think it ´s also important to feel comfortable and accepted. And she gives everyone the feeling of being accepted and she takes care of every student. And just to be clear, of course it´s not all about fun and of course you´ll learn A LOT. I just want to say that you´ll be enjoying it to learn from her ;) Thank you Jan

Paul is one of the greatest music teachers there could be. I've studied with him for about two years -- my skill and understanding have really developed. He's a great player and has a million ways to explain things so if you don't get it one way, there's always another approach.

We decided to chose Brian for my teenage daughter's beginning guitar lessons due to his willingness to teach her the type of songs that she wanted. Right away he connected with her and her music. He taught her the theory behind playing guitar as well as teaching her the tricks and skills of how to play the guitar. His practices were enjoyable and not just rote. She learned very quickly and therefore stayed excited about learning. Brian was always very complementary and encouraging. Brian also helped us buy useful equipment like a tuner, etc. She always felt safe and comfortable. We would highly recommend Brian as a guitar teacher.

Debbie Carter is an amazing vocal teacher. She has a great attitude and is very patient. She made me feel welcomed and comfortable the minute I walked into the room. She has given me advice on how to use and care for my voice and has made me feel more comfortable with singing high notes (those can be scary!). She is very punctual and starts and ends classes on time. I have had a very positive experience with her and hope to continue with classes. Thank you, Debbie for your time, teachings, and wisdom!

Marquita Waters is by far one of the best vocal instructors around. Although her and I are used to playing different genres of music, Marquita is able to adapt to any style to benefit the performer. Most importantly, Marquita teaches the singer how to put on a performance and captivate the audience's attention. Highly recommended.

My teen daughter has had several voice teachers in her life, and April is by far the best! She really knows the voice, and how to work with your strengths and improve your weaknesses. She pushes you in an encouraging way, and she truly loves to see your progress. I'm so happy we found April!

Thomas is a great piano teacher who is incredibly professional, patient and helpful. He is fantastic at noticing deficiencies in your playing and is able to get you to fix them without ever being overbearing or too harsh. He's incredibly patient, knowledgeable and incredibly flexible in his schedule. There were times when I had to change my lesson times and he always made sure to find time for us to get our lesson in. Thomas offers the best lessons for the best price! Whether you're a casual player or looking to help improve your chops, Thomas should be your first choice.

Michael, from my first lesson was so attentive to what I wanted to learn. Kind of in passing, I told him that I loved to sing but was afraid to so he really coaxed me to sing along to all the guitar songs I was learning (I really do not think that any other guitar teacher would have bothered...like "not my job". But, not Michael, he took that on as his job because he recognized that it was important to me). Likewise, when I would show an interest in a particular type of music (i.e. I like acoustic and more mellow, verging on country even), he found songs like that for me and he taught me my songs I had picked even though I doubt that they would have been his picks. In summary, he wanted me to relate to and enjoy the music; the lessons are all about what I want to get out of them...with professional guidance along the way as well. The other thing I want to definitely mention is that, Michael is top-knotch, professional and KNOWS music. He encouraged me to not only learn songs to play but to understand the theory of the music in those songs. I feel very proficient in music theory after taking classes with Michael. I not only play the stuff but I "get it." I understand the technical theory involved. I really think that this is something not every guitar teacher brings to the table or encourages. Many just do not know it! With Michael, we can move from guitar to piano so that he can illustrate something about chords in a key or the difference between major, minor, dominant and diminished chords. Bottom line, I have fun during my lesson but I learn so much more than memorizing chord shapes on the guitar. And, when I play and sing a song...well, it really feels great! Honestly, he is the BEST! He just cares so much about you learning all you can regarding music and he knows how to teach it so that you get to understand what can at first seem so unfamiliar. Michael has the holistic approach. He makes music familiar, logical, relatable and, most of all, Enjoyable. As his student, thumbs-up!

Stefano is an amazing teacher with an incredible passion for music. His teaching ability is truly unique. He has a great personality with an uplifting attitude, and has a genuine sense of humor. After the first lesson, I instinctively knew I was going to reconnect with him and choose him as my drum teacher despite shopping around for prospective instructors. If you're looking to have a great time learning the drums look no further!

We had been searching for a piano teacher for our 8 year daughter for some time and finally found Charlyn a few months ago. We're so glad we did. Charlyn is extremely patient, very professional and totally devoted to teaching. She makes the lessons fun and works toward my daughters interests all the while teaching the important foundations of the instrument. I love her well-rounded approach--she includes a little of everything from theory, finger positioning, to sight reading, etc... My daughter has learned so much and we've only just begun! I would highly recommend Charlyn to anyone--young or old--interested in lessons!

Howard Richman is not a piano teacher...he is a LIFE CHANGER. I went to him to learn piano...but realized that the lessons I learned studying piano with the MASTER were not merely lessons in music....but lessons that helped me see outside the paradigm in all areas of my life. Often, as adults, we "come back" to our music...to study what we have been "wanting to get back to" for years. I learned that this is often a time of great change and evolution for us personally. Howard, being so intuitive, knows how to tune in to each individual's needs.... and empower them to EMPOWER themselves. He is a BRILLIANT pianist, composer and master teacher. I've watched him perform miracles with young children who struggled with other teachers who simply wanted to teach "by the book." Howard is always able to find your inner talent and abilities, possibly that are even unknown to you...and he can creatively, intuitively and intelligently create a course of action that will leave you amazed! That's why you are reading SO many wonderful comments here about him. If you are lucky enough to get to study with Howard, it will change your life!...and btw, I can now play a mean Beethoven's "Moonlight Sonata"....Thank you for everything you taught me Howard Richman! My first impression of John was that he contacted me back. Quickly. So right away I knew he was excited and interested to get our lessons started. His passion for music and music education is great and shows through his well thought out lesson plans which he's customized according to my skill level and progress. Speaking of which I couldn't have asked for a better teacher than John based on how much I've grown as a drummer these last few months and how much more confident I feel behind the kit. I highly recommend that you contact him immediately. You know that he'll contact you right back.

Saro is a highly experienced teacher. He comes from the prestigious USC Thornton school of music and knows what's he doing! my son first started learning the guitar with another teacher. Later I hired Saro to work with him. The outcome of his teaching was fantastic as my son's playing improved dramatically. His hand positions, tone quality and musicianship highly improved. I definitely recommend taking lessons from Saro.

Alejandro has been the best music teacher I've had! Ever! He knows what he is talking about, he is so practical as well. He always pushes me to be a better musician and he doesn't take no as an answer. In music theory I've grown so much with just simple classes that really push me to grow and expand my knowledge. Not only is he a great teacher he is just a down to earth person! Great person, great teacher, excellent guitarist. He is a join to learn from!

Mrs. Horrocks has exceptional knowledge and expertise as a teacher of classical piano. "Classical" is a word which describes the 18th & 19th centuries music to be characterized by balance, clarity, and moderation (Webster's) It includes expressions as art song, chamber music, opera, and symphony. Since having Mrs. Horrocks as our teacher for 5 children, (which vary in age from 4-14), she has shown them the essence of "classical". It is as she has taken us back to that period of time with her own passion and love for classical piano. Her enthusiasm is contagious and invigorating. She doesn't "just teach" she is filled with a love for the art of it and thrilled to share it with others. I am certain that the classical great composers would applaud her reverence for teaching their pieces. There are many more attributes Mrs. Horrocks contributes other than just teaching piano. She complements her teaching style with incredible intuitive insights for each and every student. She seems to know exactly what is needed to take place in their learning, though they all be different. She chooses pieces to learn which best compliment her student's personalities. (Which is a gift). Clearly, education and solid experience set her apart which she uses powerfully. She is not rote with her instruction and insightfully draws out of her students the beauty of playing. As a mother, I am enormously grateful for her detailed personal attention. Our children are in wonder in their discovery of their inward talents blossoming before their eyes, all because of her care and attention to personal details. She is filled with praise and unfounded encouragement for each student, yet accompanies that with a steadfast seriousness for accuracy. With these complementary techniques she doesn't allow any room for a student to feel that they aren't good enough, aren't trying hard enough, or anything lesser than. But, with an assurance that they are good enough and growing each week. She provides a lovely, private and comfortable studio which accommodates enough room for us all. We are incredibly blessed to have her teach our children. Each of us would without question encourage you to choose Mrs. Horrocks as your first choice, as it will be the only choice needed. You will receive nothing less than everything I have pointed out here. Exceptional learning, solid knowledge and a passion playing this most wonderful instrument.....Piano!

My son began taking drum lessons with Lindsay via skype at 6 years old. He will be 9 next month and is still loving his drum lessons. He has learned so much in such a short period of time. Not only is Lindsay clearly a skilled drummer but is also an apt teacher. She is patient while pushing my son to improve his skills. I know from personal experience that learning an instrument can be frustrating to the point that the student will want to give up. This is especially true for a kid. Lindsay understands this and has the ability to balance progress with patience. I highly recommend Lindsay as a drum teacher!
