I've done 4 lessons with Ben so far and it's been great! He is a super warm and energetic person that gets me excited about my voice and growing my abilities! And I definitely feel that my singing has improved in this short time period with his help. I would definitely recommend him to others.Oct 16, 2017Verified

Had a pleasant session with Ben. He made me feel good about my singing, even though I am not that great but he gave me inspiration to be better. All the while we had fun.Jan 8, 2016Verified

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?$30 for 40 minutes, $40 for an hour.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?A first voice lesson would include some basic vocal warm-ups and techniques, some chat to get to know one another, set goals, and the perusal and discussion of songs that you (your child) might be interested in singing. A first acting lesson would include some basic acting techniques, the perusal of possible scenes and/or monologues, confidence building, and the discussion of goals. A casual, supportive atmosphere allows for maximum personal growth regardless of experience level.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I've studied classical voice both privately and at Tanglewood University, as well as acting at Hayward State and Shakespeare Santa Cruz. I have appeared in numerous productions at Cabrillo Stage Professional Musical Theatre, and I am now Artistic Director for Santa Cruz Performing Arts. I enjoy leading the family sing-alongs at the Rio Theatre that have included the Sound of Music, Grease, Mary Poppins, and the Wizard of Oz, and the Yellow Submarine.
