KEVIN WAS HIRED TO REPAIR/INSTALL CEILING FAN AND REMOVE TV ANTENNA. HE WAS QUICK TO RESPOND WITH A ESTIMATE AND WE SCHEDULED A REPAIR DATE/TIME. HE WAS VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE ABOUT BOTH ITEMS I WANTED TO BE FIXED. HE REPAIRED THE CEILING FAN AND REMOVED THE ANTENNA AS AGREED WITH A TRULY PROFESSIONAL STANDARD. HE ALSO LOOKED AT A FUTURE PROJECT (REPLACING TWO TOILETS) AND MADE RECOMMENDATIONS. I WAS REALLY HAPPY WITH THE WORK DONE AND WILL DEFINITELY BE RETAINING HIM FOR ANY PROJECTS IN THE FUTURE.
David was prompt, helpful and installed a ceiling fan also cleaned our wall heater. He encountered some issues, but handled them professionally, promptly. His reasonable prices, and attention to details, and most importantly our safety, we would not hesitate to call on his assistance again in the near future. Thank You David !!
I was in urgent need for a handyman, as a large part of a wall, insulation & floor in my storage closet was damaged by my leaking water heater. I decided to try Thumbtack and was very happy to see that Arisel from AA Cardenas reached out to me and said he can start work immediately. He was very prompt in replying, and very easy to reach on phone & text before, during and after the work was completed. When he came, he assessed the work to be done, gave me a very clear outline of materials needed and the labor cost. He told me he could finish the work in 2 days, which is exactly what my deadline was, and he did finish all the work in 2 days flat! He offered to go and pick up all the material from the hardware store, and worked till late on the first day to make sure he got as much work done as possible. He was very professional in putting up new insulation, patch sheet rock, applying texture to blend with existing wall texture and paint the area. He always cleaned up before he left and was very open to me asking questions about various things he was working on. Arisel was very nice to talk to as well, and he was accommodating to all my questions. He even came back 4 days later, at my request, to put floor molding. Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with the work Arisel did, and would definitely hire him again.
Craig did a great electrical job for us. Our master bedroom electrical wiring was a bit of mess, he fixed the issue and made sure it's all safe . As a result of his great prof work we decided to give him contract for whole house replacement of switches , lights points n circuits as our 1989 year-build house that's been "tinkered" with over the years has also outdated CA code materials He came out, did a quick assessment, and was able to start quickly. He finished the work in time as promised, and more plus everything works great. Thank you Craig!
I originally hired Cruz to put up a fence. However, I quickly realized he was skilled at other areas including painting and home improvement/repair. He did an excellent job putting up my fence, painting it, as well as fixing a few things inside my house in the kitchen and living room. He was extremely professional and his work quality was great. Would definitely hire him again if I need any help with home improvement. Highly recommended for any and all home repair, fencing, and painting!
He arrived early in the morning at my request. Was on time and very professional. I had him install a CCTV system with 8 cameras. He did a great job and I am highly satisfied with my new system. It was over 100 degrees the day he did my work, it included going into my attic which had to be well over 110 degrees. I was impressed by how fast the job was completed and he setup the system and inspected everything before leaving. I would recommend him and I will be calling him for future projects. It's nice to have finally found a reliable professional.
After Tom replaced our garbage disposal, I understood all those reviews claiming he is going above and beyond. Tom fixed my faucet along the way, without my asking and charge. I was very pleasantly surprised by Tom's professionalism and will definitely consider him in the future for fixing things that break around the house.
Juan does great work at a very reasonable price! He installed two ceiling fans and a solar attic fan for me, and spent hours troubleshooting an issue with the solar controller that wasn't his doing... I highly recommend Juan for your electrical needs!
Vyron and his team were great. They remodeled a small guest house for us - flooring, ceiling, painting, plumbing, windows, cabinetry. It was a 3 day job. They always showed up on time, worked extremely hard, were professional and pleasant. Vyron is very focused on doing a quality job. He clearly has a lot of experience doing all types of remodeling projects, and offered several valuable suggestions. I would definitely use again.
I needed a bathroom ceiling fan replaced and Fred did a great job. Cleaned as he went along and left the bathroom just as he found it but with a working fan. He came out the same day to inspect and the fan was replaced within 48 hours. I will definitely call Fred with any future repairs
Victor is amazing - he persevered through the install my cute (although, on my part, it was a poor selection from a design perspective) ceiling fan. It replaced an 'outdated' ceiling light fixture and is now the best feature in my little condo!! Victor is focused and gets the job done!
Michael and his assistant came to install a ceiling fan with lights. The room had nothing in the ceiling. Michael was prompt, in fact he called to see if he could come a bit early. The install went smoothly and I am happy with the work. His price was very reasonable and I plan on bringing him back to change old can lights throughout the house. I highly recommend Michael.
We hired Ramin to renovate a master bathroom and master bedroom. The scope of work included demolition, retrofitting proper plumbing for shower, repairing floor boards, retrofitting electrical for new heater/fan/light fixture, shower and floor tile work, resurfacing walls and ceiling, painting walls ceiling and trim, installing all lighting and plumbing fixtures, etc.... He has a small crew of guys who are hard working, respectful and cheerful. I have hired a lot of contractors over the years, and I have never come across anyone like Ramin. He is a perfectionist, in a good way. He makes sure everything is done right and beautifully. He's also super nice, easy to communicate with, and an all around good guy. His estimate was not the least nor the most expensive. We chose him because we had a good feeling about him, and we were right! We've already added small projects to his list around the rest of the property. We will hire him again for our remodeling projects without hesitation.
Edwin was fantastic. He gave us a very reasonable quote for the installation of two attic fans. On the day of the installation, he was on time and finished the installation promptly and without any unexpected issues. We will be hiring him again for more projects at our home. I would highly recommend him to anyone.
We had a mix of things to fix: plumbing, a towel rack, some grout work on a bathroom counter, caulking around a sink, etc. Everything was quick, clean, and professional. Will definitely use them in the future for handyman projects of all kinds.
Kirk and his team performed an interior remodel and a new garage build for my house from January 2011 to July 2011. I am satisfied with Kirks work. He is very experienced in new constructions and remodels. He did a very good job for a very good price. Kirk also gave me lots of free extras at his expense. In March 2010 I purchased a 2-bedroom, 1-bathroom house in Union City, California. The house was in good structural condition, but as a foreclosured unit, it needed some rehabilitation. The original detached garage was in poor condition; it was badly damaged by termites and water. My intent was to have the detached garage demolished and completely rebuilt from the ground up. I planned on doing interior renovation at a later time. I found Kirk from craigslist and he had a link to his Thumbtack page. I called him and he came by to give me an estimate. He said he could give me a really good deal on a new garage and do an interior remodel for a little more than what I would have paid for the garage alone. Kirk was really enthusiastic about doing my job, much more so than the other contractors I had come to give me a bid. Kirk also had very good ideas about modernizing the interior. He suggested a bar counter between my kitchen and dining area. He would also turn my empty utility rooms into a master bedroom and master bathroom. And he wanted to create a laundry machine closet. Kirk had an architect draw the construction plans; his architect did a really nice job. He submitted it to the city as part of the permit application process. I wanted the work done with all permits so everything would be by the book. It would also help should I decide to sell the house at a later date. Kirk started out on the interior work first. He demolished the old kitchen and utility room. He built a new kitchen, a master bedroom, a master bathroom, a laundry machine closet, and a small coat closet by the front door. Kirk said he could also do a couple more things to the interior. He would do the labor for cheap if I paid for the materials. So I agreed and Kirk also replaced my front door, front window, and sliding glass door. He also remodeled my fireplace and fixed a bunch of broken things in my original bathroom. Kirk also completely rewired the house. The original wiring was a dangerous mess, a potential fire hazard. The interior work was completed towards the end of April 2011 and all the work was approved by the city inspector. It looked really nice. I received many compliments from friends and family. I am fairly picky with details and I did notice a couple flaws with fit and finish. I pointed out them out to Kirk. He and his workers did fix them. The garage work started immediately afterwards. The old garage was not worth saving so it was demolished and hauled away. The original foundation was unusable. So Kirk jackhammered it out. Kirk poured a new heavy-duty foundation onto an extensive frame of rebar. He tied it into the house foundation. Then he framed the new oversized 510 square foot garage. Kirk added a storage attic with a pull-down ladder. Kirk also poured a new driveway that looked excellent. Kirk added a 50 amp subpanel to the garage. He also gave me a bunch of free extras like wall insulation. Kirk also used roof panels coated with an aluminum heat reflective substance. The garage was completed by the end of July 2011. It looked really nice. Like the interior, I also received compliments from friends and family. The above garage attic storage with the pull-down ladder was really useful. The garage also passed city inspection. There were also a few issues with fit and finish in the garage. Kirk fixed the problems that I pointed out. While the garage was being built, Kirk also repaired my patio awning and side perimeter fence. He did an excellent job on them. One lady even drove by, stopped, and complimented on how nice the outside looks. I am overall satisfied with Kirks work. He really transformed my house. Since everything was done with permits, I now have a 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom house on county and city records. If you want to see his work on my house, ask Kirk to give you my phone number.
Michael removed an old fence and installed a new 20' fence including a gate at my son's house back in Feb-March 2015 timeframe. He and his crew did an excellent job. They showed up on-time, installed the fence in a timely manner and cleaned-up. Further, Michael came back to look at a sprinkler pipe that could have been damaged during the fence install and repaired it without question. Michael is a professional that strives for 100% customer satisfaction. My son was very pleased with Michael's work and will use him again. Sorry for the very late review...
Noah Dillman was a real find. I needed a contractor to make several quick repairs to my house to prep it for sale, and he came through in the clutch. He did top-notch work, on schedule and on-budget, and with meticulous attention to detail. He also hooked me up with a great house painter to paint the exterior of my house. I'd hire Noah again in a second. -Jeff Powanda, Santa Cruz
Reliable! The projects he knocked out for me are as follows, green house, window installation, knocked down a wall to open up living space and plenty of electrical from big to small. Prices were more than fair and he always looked to save me a buck it two with out compromising the integrity of the job. Thumbs up!
Brian Nolf came to our home after First American Warranty solicited a second opinion regarding the Electrical outage at our place over the Thanksgiving Week end. He is the most friendliest contractor, besides Dick's Antenna I have pleasure of working. Not only found the root cause of the problem and fixed it, but also had to fix the collateral damage of the first electrician within 2-3 hours. He took time to explain me the potential hazards that would have resulted had the problems not been found and remedied. I will urge you to stop your search and just seek him out and he will keep his appointment too and will inform if he is late due to road jams or any other reasons.
I had a small job that I didn't know was small. I'm grateful that he drove all the way over to take care of it. I had a ceiling fan with lights that would turn on the fan, but not the light. It turned out to be bad wiring that he fixed very quickly. Then he offered to take a look at any other problems I needed to fix. I was wondering about adding another ceiling light to another room. After checking out the area by going through the attic, he found that we'd need to add an entirely new electrical line. He also mentioned another option of running a new fixture from an existing power outlet via a plugin lamp. That one would have the cord run alongside the wall and up to the ceiling. Our family is still debating whether to do that because it would save us money, but the cord would still be visible. Anyway, I was glad that he told us all of the options. Also, communication before meeting was very prompt and easy. When entering the house, he noticed that we kept our shoes off, so he did the same. Finally, he made sure to clean up after himself too. Those were very subtle but impressive manners. I'd definitely hire him again if I ever need help.
I have light! Mark and his team did an excellent job installing lighting in two rooms that never had lights before. The recess (sp?) lighting created an elegant and modern feel to both rooms. They were quick, clean and professional! I came home from work and the lighting was installed and you would have never know anyone was in my house. Like a lighting ninja. I will always call Roemke Electric for any electrical needs. Thanks again!
James was hired to fix a couple of plumbing problems and to install a new kitchen faucet. He was reasonably priced, prompt, made 2 trips to stores to find the right part. He did a great job! I will definitely recommend.
Bay Light Electric is one of the most reliable and reasonable Electrical company in the Bay Area. I stongly recomend this knowledgable and reasonable company to my friends.
