I worked with First Rate Tutors previously and every moment was a pleasure. Barry set everything up from students to meeting locations and organized everything efficiently and consistently. In addition, he made sure each student was adequately equipped with all of the latest equipment/tools necessary for the class. I would highly recommend First Rate Tutors.

We're so good we're badass! We "Guarantee an A or B or it's free!" We handle all levels of difficult classes but are known for the high level nightmares, like statics, dynamics, statistics, calc 1-4, organic chemistry, physics, and just about anything else that keeps students up at night. Tutors are local and go your college. We have a 90% success rate on guaranteed plans. For the 10% who don't pass and retake a class they get a free 15 or 25 hours. Now that's a deal!

I am an undergraduate student attending UCSB for a BS in Pure Mathematics. With my skills I am able to tutor up through Calculus and other lower division Math courses. As a transfer student from the community college level, I have experienced a variety of teaching methods used by my professors. I also used to work for the Math tutor program at the Monterey Peninsula College. There I learned how to address the needs and varieties of examples needed by students to fully understand the material. Thank you for considering your local university students.

I am as independent of a musician as you will ever fine. I am completely self motivated, and my style is unique. If you're exclusively looking for a teacher to guide you through the standard classical approaches I'm probably not your guy, but if you're looking through a teacher who is knowledgeable and mindful of theory and technique while recognizing the value of exploration and playfulness in music I might be your right guy. My goal is to draw my students closer to their own creative passions.
