We hired Jared to do our epoxy coating in our new house. He was super responsive to all my questions via Thumbtack, arrived on time, explained the process and did an amazing job. Even gave us text updates. We also asked him if he could install a washing machine pan and he did it super quick! He is very friendly and even worked on our garage on New Year's Eve AND New Year's Day! Can't wait to hire him again, our garage looks amazing!
Tom is great. Very happy I found him. I did work on our bathroom renovation, including: vanity install (very tricky IKEA cabinet that other handymen couldn't handle), plumbing, electrical, patching & paint, window install, and stucco repair. I immediately extended him to do some work on our front and back doors. All great. And now, I've hired him again to build a fence and gate for us in the front yard. I will be calling him again in the future, and I encourage anyone reading this to do the same!
First off, the finished product was excellent. The crew does very good work, very thorough and no shortcuts. I can be very picky and i really didnt have much to say. The few things i did point out, they were more than willing to fix. The only negative that i can state was that the job took longer than expected. I was told it would be done in 3 days, 4 days max, but it ended up taking 4.5 days, so additional time that i had to be closed, losing income. We are open 24 hours, so it makes a difference, BUT i knew how bad our floors were, so it was understandable. I was working with Jon, but his crew did the work, and day 1 of the project was the first time his crew was seeing the floors, which was surprising, as i would think they would need to know what they had to deal with, but maybe that was already communicated to them. All in all, the project went smoothly and i am very satisfied with the quality of work. It was great value also. I talked to and got estimates from about 10 other contractors and Jon's pricing was up there with the best value and lowest pricing. I would recommend Jon and his crew for any floor installation you need. He also was able to get me quotes and introduce me to other contractors who could help me with other projects i have planned, so that was also helpful. I can see that i will be doing new flooring jobs in the future with my plans, so now i know exactly who to call first. All my referrals will also go to him.
I have an old hardwood floor under an old carpet. And there is some termite damage. Joel and his team helped me to remove the carpet, repair termite damage, and sand and refinish the hardwood floor. They also installed new base boards. Joel responded to my quest promptly, did a free measurement and estimate, explained and wrote down everything 100% clear, and finished the job on schedule. They did an excellent job at a very competitive price.
Robert performed an absolutely excellent job on a tricky project for paint removal on a concrete slab in the back yard of our house. He was super easy to work with, provided a very competitive quote, performed the work extremely well and on time, and his job site cleanup was fantastic. He's clearly very detail orientated and would not hesitate to recommend him, or utilize his services again. We're very happy with the work he performed and how he did it.
I couldn't have been happier. The team came in a laid the floor in about a day and a half. Exceeded my expectations in every way. I had a few ideas to make the step up look good but they made everything look amazing. From the floor prep to the molding installation and caulking, the job was done perfectly. Thank you Five Star Flooring!
All of the workers at Lopez Hardwood Floor are very experienced in their skills from start to finish and I am extremely satisfied with the new white oak hardwood flooring that was stained to match the existing hard wood floors. I switched out 3 BR's and closets from carpeting to hardwood. Eduardo, the owner of the company was very pleasant and very fair with his pricing. The price included carpet removal, new flooring materials and labor and was very fair. They go out of their way to assist with moving of the heavy furniture and beds to locations in the house for the length of the project. They gave me choices in stains and we found just the right one. The hardwood floor went in smoothly and carefully and after two rounds of sanding they stained and applied 3 coats of varnish on each of the following days after buffing. Eduardo's team applied base shoe to the existing baseboards in all of the rooms and closets. During the work, they masked my home and closets with protective plastic and tape. Today, they helped me to move back my furniture and the project was completed. I would highly recommend that you consider Lopez Hardwood Floor for your upcoming hardwood floor projects. I bought my first little ugly house in Highland Park and after meeting with several people for some of the renovation work, I knew Justin was going to be my guy when he actually arrived on time to our meeting. From the first day that he came over to look at the place, the wheels starting moving and the process began. It began with a paint job, then after talking, I realized that Justin and his crew could do EVERYTHING I was looking to do. They skim-coated the entire house, removed all texture and left an amazing smooth coat on the entire house. As if it was brand new walls. We then installed all new high-end laminate flooring, and restored a fireplace. Every time his crew uncovered any expectedness, he called me not only to inform me, but with a gameplan on how he's going to proceed. Justin and his crew was extremely respectable and worked on the house as if it was their own, never cutting corners, but always doing things the right way, which I saw alot of value in that mentality. Round 1 has been completed, and as soon as I save up little more for further renovation, they'll be back again to work on my stairs to the basement, and start a new wooden fence. We clicked on the modern-chic style I was going for so explaining how I wanted things was a breeze and he even suggested some ideas that we ended up going for, which my girlfriend and I love. Glad to find my go-to contractor for my renovation needs. Will soon have before and after pictures because it's a truly a must-see process with a superb outcome.
American Castles Mike To the RESCUE!!! The water heater at my rental property burst on a Friday afternoon causing some major damage to the house. The renters were furious because their items got damaged and the house wasn't inhabitable after that. On the inside, the bathroom wall and under stairway closet were all soaking wet and drywall/carpet/padding had to be removed immediately to prevent mole build up. On the garage side where the water heater located, the entire wall was destroyed. so I called my home insurance who provided me with their preferred plumber who quoted an additional $540 out of pocket on top of what the insurance was going to cover just so he can bring up the water heater installation to code! He told me that it will take him 1+ week to order the water heater (duh...get one from Home Depot take only 1hr...which is what Mike did) and that he can install a temporary water heater and will charge $137/wk! He also referred me to a water damage restoration company which I was not too happy with either. Since it was an emergency and I went with that company. They came in and ripped out all the wet drywall without caring for any molding; especially for garage doors and closet doors! It seemed like what ever the water heater didn't damage, they did. They also broke my water heater intake shut off valve. damage the water heater over flow copper pipe. All I can say is I will not use them again! Back to the plumber, something was smelling fishy about his quote and so I called and questioned this plumber. His response was "Well, I will need to flush out the gas line and calibrate your water pressure...upgrade to the new California safety quote...put in earthquake straps...install new vent line since the new water heater nowaday don't use the old vent line!". I was not convinces so I started to Google for good local contractor and AMERICAN CASTLES (Mike Tay is the owner) came up from Thumtack along with few others from other websites. I contacted them and they came in and provided me quotes. Mike was the last one I contacted. He arrived within 30min. He checked out the damages and explained to me what needs to get done sequentially to get everything back in proper operation for my tenants. Mike is very knowledgeable and very patient in explaining things. I told him what the plumber had said, he laughed and told me the whole thing was a rip off and a scam! Another crock of bull**** and advised me against it. He told me to call my insurance company to inquire about using other plumber. Sure enough I was offered the "cash out" option which I didn't even know was available. I took that option and went with Mike for the repair. Mike knows how important it is for my tenants to get the hot water running again once the water damage restoration company completed the clean up/dry out the area (took 1 week). As soon as that company removed their equipment, Mike had his crew come in the next day (Saturday) to repair the garage dry wall and finished the installation of the new water heater and brought it up to code on safety on Sunday! He even added the water pan and installed drain pipe for me. I didn't even know such a thing exists (talk about quality...he treats it like repairing his own home!). The best part is his charge for the whole job including new water heater, earthquake straps, valve, drain pan, vent and new connection is far way less than what that plumber was going to charge me. I loved the fact he took the time to show me how things should be done up to code and what works for my situation instead of just giving a price and walking away. He did an awesome job! Unfortunately my landlord insurance's deductible was so high, I asked Mike to give me a quote for fixing the damage in the garage and inside the house. Mike's quote was very competitive and the best part is he is always willing to work with me knowing my situation (thx Mike). My bathroom paint is 16 years old so it was a challenge to match the paint for the new wall. After only quoting me for painting a small wall inside the bathroom, Mike decided on his own to paint the entire bathroom without charging for it. Now that what I call TAKING PRIDE IN YOUR WORK AND STICKING TO YOUR WORD!!! My summary is, Mike successfully completed the entire job and installation in four days. I would highly recommend Mike to anyone and will definitely be using and referring him to everyone I know.
We got a reasonable quote and Guilmar and his crew have been very courteous, professional and friendly. We are renovating a home that hasn't been renovated since the early 70s. After doing much of the work ourselves we knew we needed professional help on the drywall. The guys spent a good amount of time mudding, taping, sanding and priming our walls. I really appreciated that they took their time. We have since then gotten another reasonable quote to cover our hideous popcorn ceilings. Once again the guys have worked hard and consistently. They have been understanding when our new, very energetic puppy jumps all over them. We are hiring them for a 3rd project as soon as the ceilings are done next week. They will be doing tile floors, kitchen demo and stairs. Thanks to. Guil, Manny and Juan. I definitely Andy highly recommend them.
Fixed a drywall hole and repainted a banister for us. On time and did a good job. Would use again :)
Antonio and his team did an outstanding job. They really went above and beyond to ensure we were happy with their work. Very honest, punctual, polite, and most of all they are good at what they do. Concrete floors can be a challenge to work with, so it's important to find a team who is well versed in the trade. I would definitely hire them again if another job comes up in the future.
George was very professional and did a beautiful job with the installation of tile flooring on a rental property of my families. Not only did he do a great job but it was done in a very timely manner, as well as I think the price was reasonable. I would definitely recommend his services and hire him again in the future.
We hired Floorchain Inc. for the installation of laminate flooring that included roughly 700 SF including two very difficult staircases. The staircases were uneven, and not very true. Floorchain spent extra time basically fine tuning each stair until perfection was achieved. We have had many compliments on the staircases alone, that with the entry ways, living area, dining area and hallways, all the work is excellent. Armen did everything he said he would do, stuck to the plan and gave professional answers and advice to any questions we had. Further when there was any item that was questionable he made sure that it was addressed and made corrections immediately. Floorchain Inc. was professional, dedicated to customer satisfaction, delivered high quality product and excellent craftsmanship.
The project was for fascia boards to be repaired/replaced, wood fence repaired/painted, one exterior door replaced/installed, exterior house painted, and paint coatings on floor of balcony and backyard patio.
Set up a time to come inspect the job and provide a rough quote, Salvador came the next day and got it all done. Flooring looks great now, and level enough to begin my hardwood installation. Great pricing and quick, quality work. Thanks Salvador!
RCA Flooring did an amazing job. Very
Fast, efficient, clean and fair. I had 2 jobs done by Floorandwindows and both were fantastic. They did my home flooring replacing carpet with stunning wood and my warehouse were they refinished the concrete and even installed and anti-static floor for my tech room. I have also had them install blinds at both locations, there were no problems and the fit was perfect on the first install. I highly recommend them! Home Designers and Contractors did an excellent job for me with several projects: -- repairing and reinstalling bamboo wood floors, -- installing waterproofing elements on my guest house, -- refinishing 1928 original oak floors (despite some really awful glue that was used on top of them for parquet floors), -- installing a brand new kitchen (lighting, floors, cabinets, new appliances, custom quartzite counter, sink, electrical, etc). -- repairing patio tiles and creating a concrete swell for the water drainage Al and his team do quality work at reasonable prices. My home is much more beautiful and functional because of Home Designers and Contractors.
Luka and his team are incredible! I had him refinish the concrete floor at my new business location and it looks fantastic. Originally I just wanted someone to buff it out, fill patches and put a nice, clear sealent coat on it. Luka agreed but once he got into the space he saw that the job needed more than that to look it’s best. He ground the floor down, restained it, filled patches and then gave it a nice glossy coat. It’s a brand new floor! His bid was extremely fair especially given the fact that he did a lot of extra work to bring the space up to his high standards. Look no further if you are looking for an honest, professional flooring company who produces exceptional work.
We dealt directly with Ryan one of the owners, his crew came in and repaired our concrete garage floor and installed a decrotive urethane floor with a clear coat in 2 days. The crew was professional and skilled and the material wasn't a low quality material you see by most of the normal epoxy contractors, it was thick and beautiful and we love it and thank RyanCo for a great job.
