Dave has been an amazing trainer and resource for me and my recently adopted a retired racing greyhound, Falkor. Falkor was friendly and to my eye didn't appear to have any serious behavior issues, but I sought out a trainer because I had trouble teaching him basic commands or even motivating him to do much of anything. Through our sessions, Dave has taught me to recognize his underlying anxiety and lack of confidence that was causing what I perceived to be general greyhound laziness. During our first session, Falkor got so excited that he starting chasing and throwing around his toys, something he had never done before. My neighbors have even noticed how much of a happier dog he is. He will now happily walk up to strangers on walks to say hi or take food from your hand. He now loves toys and gets excited to greet other dogs. His transformation through our training with Dave has been amazing. He takes such a gentle and calm approach to the training, which is something Falkor really responded well to. Dave is a master of canine body language, and made sure never to push Falkor more than he was ready to. He is also an amazing resource between sessions, always available with tips and advice on how I could work to build Falkor's confidence.

Dave was such a great help to us in training our dog (or us, really)! He really took the time to explain the process and work with Sadie to overcome her fearful reaction to other dogs. She's made great progress & we look forward to more training sessions in the future. Highly recommended! Oh, and Sadie absolutely LOVES HIM.

Dave was great helping us train our boxer puppy. He is now 6 months and still is a work in progress but thanks to Dave we have the tools to raise him as a well behave dog. Dave is very responsible and really cares about the dogs he trains. I really recommend everydog for anybody that is looking for a good trainer.

Dave is top notch. He cares totally about you and your dogs, he's wicked smart and is up to date on the best way to solve any problems with the dogs. And his training style is SO simple and effective. I have realized (as do most people, I think) that it is YOU he is training. Once the owner gets it, so does the dog!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We have single sessions and packages that bring the per-session price down. We have a plan for every client and situation!
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We give low-cost ($49) consults for private lessons, and that is where we start with all our clients. It gives us an opportunity to get an appropriate history and meet you all, but more importantly, it allows you to meet and vet us, as well as understand our philosophy -100% positive-based, force-free training. You will learn how dogs learn and process information, so we have a better understanding of how to best teach and/or alter their behavior. Then, we discuss what is best to move forward for your pup!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We are certified dog trainers, with a combined 30+ years of experience working with all types of dogs and various issues.
