I used to be able to sing but now I merely croak. I just began weekly voice lessons with Natalia and after only one session my pipes are stronger and my range has improved. As a teacher she is both a delight and knows her stuff. Best of all, she's extremely encouraging and creates an environment that allows you to make mistakes. The location is both professional and warming, just like Natalia.

Linda has a lot of experiences in tutoring. Every time I have questions in grammar or pronunciation during lessons, she clarify for me. I am very satisfied with that and I think it's the fastest way to learn. I would recommend her to my friends who want to improve their English.

I wanted a teacher that could work with an older adult who not had piano lessons since childhood. After many years, I wanted to challenge myself by getting back into piano and I wanted to bring music back into my life. I was a bit nervous about making the commitment and about the time investment that would be required. I also didn’t know a good teacher so I asked around. Howard’s name came up. He was recommended as a patient and knowledgeable teacher that would do wonders with students. Howard’s approach is not the conventional one that I experienced as a child. He presents many types of approaches and uses lots of tools and techniques to build your skills and understanding of the structure of music. Now, I’m stretching myself to learn, remember and apply these skills and it feels really good! I actually enjoy practicing my piano. Now thats a testimony to Howard’s influence! If you are looking for a teacher that can accommodate your needs, encourage and inspire you, meet Howard and try him out. I’m confident that you will be very pleased with him as a professional and as a teacher.

I am an adult student that has been learning the piano from Susan for about 4 months now, and I am enjoying every lesson thoroughly. Susan is an extremely patient teacher with great experience. I had about 2-3 years experience with western classical music on the piano before beginning my lessons with her, but still had difficulty in sight reading. Susan immediately identified my problem and suggested a method to correct it, and it is working extremely well! She also is very methodical in teaching and this helps tackle difficult pieces with utmost ease. I love the fact that she is very flexible, and gives importance to mastering a piece more than anything else. Loving every bit of my lessons with her!

I have two nieces and one nephew. Taking lessons at home, my eldest niece started reading music, learning guitar and piano several days after her kindergarten ceremony. By the time she entered 6th grade she outperformed me in many areas even though I was also taking lessons from Ernest. He always shows great care in the process of learning, practicing, and mastering the instrument. My nephew ended up picking up the guitar and my youngest niece acquired the language of music & instruction possibly as early as her crawling under the keyboard and listening to her older sister’s lessons over the years. By the time the youngest entered 1st grade she was composing legitimate piano pieces and all three kids eventually shined as the brightest music stars in their K-8 school. Ernest is sensitive to the needs and interests of the learner. Whenever possible he provides additional time. His foresight and attention to detail facilitates the maturation process and sustained growth available only through the delivery and mastery of his craft. My niece expressed gratitude by giving him drawings of the sun, clouds, hearts, trees and smiley faces beneath the words, “tHANk yOu ErnSt.” Grandma also happily made snacks and treats for Ernest. At this time I can’t think of anything for Ernest to improve because the proof can be heard in the music. I will be more than happy to discuss our music lessons with “ErnSt.”

Sheri is an AMAZING teacher. I am an adult student. This method- SIMPLY MUSIC - is for anyone one, adult or child, who ever tried traditional piano lessons and GAVE UP! Even better if you never played before! The Simply Music method is brilliant and allows fast progress with zero frustration. You learn to play songs immediately and retain what you learned. I can't say that about the traditional method. And Sheri makes learning fun for adults as well as children. She is an advanced teacher with years of experience in this method. I look forward to my lesson each week and an making amazing progress. I recommend at least trying it!

Tigran is an excellent teacher. He is very clear and thorough in his lessons. He pays very good attention to questions, and forms his lessons around the student's particular needs. He always comes prepared with many examples and exercises that hone in the skill being developed at that lesson. I very highly recommend his teaching in music, composition, and theory.

In my opinion, Garr is an exceptional artist himself, and the love he holds for music is eloquent of his overall nature. His own music is both emotive and detailed, direct and nuanced, and I feel this creativity, ebullience and refinement extends to his teaching as well. He is insightful and respectful--like all true artists and all true teachers--of the individual, and fundamentally sensitive to helping students on their own distinct, expressive paths.

I searched Thumbtack to get piano lessons for a friend since I have an account already and I knew someone else who found a piano teacher through Thumbtack. Evan is a professional young man who knows how to communicate effectively and compassionately. Knowledgable, too! Even though he charges a bit more than his competitors, he's worth every penny. I'd recommend him to anyone.

Awesome place for kids to learn and master the art of music... My daughter took guitar, piano and voice lessons... Unfortunately we had to move and she can no longer attend... I wish they would open a location near Riverside so my daughter could continue with her art education... If you're looking for professional and affordable music classes for your kids then Piano Place Music and Arts Center is the right place for them. I am happy that my daughter had the opportunity to be a student at this family owned music school and I hope she can come back in the near future..... Beautiful family and very nice/professional teachers!

About

I am a piano/keyboard player based near the Pasadena area. I started playing when I was 10. Since then, I knew music was my passion, and this is what I wanted to do for the rest of my life! Learning new techniques and different styles has definitely been a blessing, but I believe a blessing isn't a true blessing until it's passed on to the next person!

About

I really in all honesty can't say how my work differs from others who do what I do. However, I can say that I'm a results kind of guy. This is more than just the talent. The greater investment is in the mind of the person with the talent. So my goal is to also train the mind to retain so that the student's instincts become second nature.
