The fellow who arrived, Mark really took the time to thoroughly listen to my opinion about what was needed to properly tune my piano. And an hour and 10 minutes later, my recently acquired 1938 Wurlitzer Spinet Piano had it's voicing, pitch, and timbre restored. And the final bill was WAY less than I had ever expected. Thanks L A Piano Tuning for bringing the old 88's back to life.Mar 14, 2020
I am a songwriter and producer and my normal guy couldn’t come. This was my first time with LA Piano. This is a very weird time with the virus and this guy came prepared and had a mask and gloves and most importantly the piano sounds great! I’m recording this week and very happy with the service. Great job! JMar 23, 2020Verified
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? Our base price is $150 for a basic tuning, $90/hr for repairs. If you are interested in working with one of our younger tuners, the rate is $110 for tuning and $90/hr for repairs.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? We usually spend about 5 to 10 minutes looking over the piano and figuring out what type of condition it is in. Then we provide an itemized list of the work that is needed as well as the price of each item. We also give recommendations as to which items are important and which items are nice to have but not critical. That way customers can adjust their spending according to their needs.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project? How long has it been since the last tuning?
