About this pro
People tend to come to therapy because they have a pressing issue they want to resolve or a relationship they want to improve. I make sure our work is focused and results oriented. Listening and support are a part of it, but really diving in, unpacking issues, and working towards meaningful improvements are the meat of it. Our first session will be dedicated to clarifying your goals, reviewing your background, and beginning to develop strategies for the issue at hand, so hopefully you leave feeling some relief and more of a sense of control. I use a Mindfulness approach to assist individuals and couples to develop tools to transform negative states, elevate ones mood, better manage stress and anxiety, shift negative patterns and habits, and regulate emotions, so we can be our best selves in our relationships. I couple this with cognitive behavioral tools to assist clients to gain awareness of thoughts, their impact, and to shift towards more balanced and empowering ways of thinking. I also teach concrete communication skills and conflict resolution strategies, including Gottman methods. My goal is for clients to build a more robust internal toolkit to use towards personal and professional goals as well as to enjoy life more fully and with less anxiety. Please refer to my website for more. Note - It is considered unethical for therapists to ask clients for reviews. Therefore, you will not see any on my page, because I uphold this level of professionalism and client centered care. I provide psychotherapy for Individuals and Couples in my private practice in West Los Angeles, California. I am passionate about working with people and believe the power of therapy comes from having a good relationship with your therapist. I’m a New Yorker and my style is warm and engaged. I create a relaxed environment that is judgment free. Email me to set up a complementary phone consult. Please refer to my website for more.
