Fantastic music, easy to coordinate with, and arrived early to make sure the event started on time. Our employees had AMAZING feedback, so we will absolutely hire Clifford in the future.
I had the opportunity to have this awesome band play at my house party! They were really talented and played a really good mix of jazz and latin which was perfect for our guests. You won't be sorry if you hire this band:)
I'm a beginner to guitar, having played a little piano and drums before. Been working with Chris for a few weeks now and it has been a blast. He's a talented musician who is connected to the music scene. I wanted a guitar teacher who was connected to the local music scene, and so I've really enjoyed working with Chris and even going to see his band perform. I also love how Chris walks through songs and is able to write out the tabs and chords on the fly, and then on top of that show me multiple ways of playing the same song. Highly recommend.
Patient, professional, and knows his stuff. What else do you want in a guitar teacher?
I used to play in band as a kid, but I never explored singing very much. I wanted to try something new and was curious to know if I was any good. Ashten has started from the very beginning with me. I never knew how much went into singing before I took lessons with her. And she's been patient teaching me all of the concepts and works at my pace. I am really enjoying studying the voice and never knew how possible it is to become a better singer if you use the right tools. I'm definitely seeing and hearing very positive results.
As wedding and event planners, it is crucial to find bands that set the perfect tone for the event. Los Boleros was fabulous. For this wedding, they created an atmosphere that got the guests up from their chairs, dancing all night long. The entire process; from booking through perfmance was professional and exactly what we hoped for. I would strongly recommend working with Rudy and this band. It was a great experience all around....not to mention that the band is just AMAZING!
For anyone looking to hire a band, look no further than Retro Jukebox! We recently had Retro Jukebox play at our wedding, and many guests told us that the band was the highlight of their experience-- the minute they opened the dance floor with a James Brown number, everyone rushed to get moving and shaking! As clients, we were incredibly impressed with Retro's ability to cater the event experience to a cross-cultural audience of various backgrounds and ages. A significant percentage of our audience was Indian, and they were able to put together a program which appealed to all. We appreciated their flexibility in allowing a short 'Indian music' segment, even doing some improv and dancing along with it! Hopefully, this also inspired a few ideas for future gigs as well. :-) Additionally, my husband and I both sing, and wanted to perform a song with the band at our wedding. To accommodate our request, Retro held multiple rehearsals with us both prior to the event and day of the event. Geechi, the band's lead singer, even cut short a gig to practice the entire entrance and production before the guests arrived, which was instrumental in pulling off a seamless performance. Our guests were simply wowed by the introduction that greeted them when they walked in-- it felt like a professional show. Geechi not only delivered as an excellent vocalist, but also as an entertaining and charismatic emcee. His rendition of Billy Ocean's 'Suddenly' stood out as the finest instance of musicality in the entire evening-- my father went up to the stage and asked him to perform an encore of the entire song. Talent, professionalism, and an infectious positivity-- that is Retro Jukebox! Thank you for making our wedding so special.
Natalie has been fantastic to work with! Her instruction through exercises, general tips/suggestions, and specific ideas when working on a particular song has all been stellar and on point throughout my work with her. I feel like I have improved dramatically over the course of our lessons, and my band members have made several comments about my improvement as well. She has an uncanny knack for knowing what I am doing with my breath, diaphragm, throat, mouth, etc., and being able to suggest just the right adjustments to make things sound better and more comfortable to sing. Natalie is a wonderful person, too, very encouraging, supportive, and respectful. I highly, highly recommend her!!
Drew's music brings a party alive. He can be center stage with a band or background solo on his guitar. Great breadth of musical styles. Absolutely five stars.
Joe and J Silverheels were an awesome cover band! They tailored my wish list as requested and all four musicians had amazing talent. The energy was perfect as they engaged the audience throughout the performance. It was an intimate urban outdoor setting, they were able to adjust the sound level accordingly and brought some cool lighting to spice things up just that much more. The dance floor opened up quickly and it was a great synergy. I would not hesitate to recommend this band; especially if you want to mix in some quality jazz with a wide selection of rock and roll. Last but not least, they play a mean harmonica plus tenor and alto saxophones to boot!!
The GTS Band has been my favorite for years, so I was thrilled when I was asked to contract with them for a high school reunion. Rick was great and easy to work with. We placed the band centrally in the room to give the lead singer an opportunity to work the room as he performed--which he does so well. As always, the music was fantastic!
Hot Rod Jukebox performed at the Atlas Cafe on Saturday January 9. They brought in about 30 people, which is excellent for this cafe. They performed two varied sets of 1960s oldies with a 6-piece group. Musicianship was excellent, and they engaged the crowd with a trivia contest, too. I definitely recommend Hot Rod Jukebox.
This is the best band in Solano County. They can play any style of music and really get the crowd involved in their performance. You cannot go wrong with this band!
I have played a show with Bear Lincoln, and I have seen them many times. If you wan't a band that is fun, and will make people get up and dance, then Bear Lincoln is your group. Solid, professional, and reliable.

Band Bio: Sang Matiz has been performing for 6 years, fusing World and Afro-Brazilian/Peruvian beats with contemporary rhythms such as Pop, Jazz, and Funk. Thanks to a grant awarded by The California Arts Council Endowment for the Arts and The San Francisco Arts Commission for Cultural Equity, they released the album, Ship It!. Most recently in August 2015, they were chosen and honored to open for the legendary Cuban band "Buena Vista Social Club" Orchestra for their Adios Tour." Throughout the years, theyve also had the great opportunity to collaborate with various renowned Bay Area musicians such as: Jackeline Rago (Master Percussionist), Miguelito Martinez (Flutist/Composer), Silvestre Martinez (Composer/Percussionist), and Grammy Award-winner Braulio Barrera (Pacific Mambo Orchestra), among many others. In addition, they've had the pleasure of sharing the stage with national and international acts such as Jorge Santana (Malo) and Pete Escovedo.
I have a 10-piece band called Zuluspear for bigger venues and Kalahari Experience (three-piece band) for smaller venues, singing and drumming South African music and variety for parties, wineries, etc.
We are the SF Bay Area's #1 rated jazz group! With recent notable public performances at San Francisco's Fillmore Jazz Festival, San Jose Jazz Festival, SF Lindy Exchange, San Francisco Symphony Opening Night Gala, and SF North Beach Festival, why hire anyone else? Go with the best! Saxophonist/Bandleader Fil Lorenz has performed with the top names in the business, from the big bands of Glenn Miller and Tommy Dorsey, to '60s icons Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons, Soul and Motown legends Gladys Knight and Mary Wilson (of the Supremes), Bobby Caldwell, modern-day soul/R&B star, Seal, and many, many others. He brings a vast array of musical experiences to the table, and his band is always stocked with the area's A-list players, all of whom have equally extensive performing credentials. Featured vocalist, Ms. Hale Baskin, is endowed with a clear, beautiful voice, a sure sense of swing, and a seemingly innate sense of the nuances of jazz phrasing. She moves effortlessly, from channeling the songbirds of the Glenn Miller and Count Basie Orchestras to classic Ella Fitzgerald-inspired jazz favorites. Do you dig the sounds of Sinatra, Dean Martin, and Bobby Darin? Let us call on our good friend Mr. Danny Grewen! For the past five years, Grewen has been playing the part of "Ol' Blue Eyes" in the TRP production of "The Rat Pack is Back!". As an interpreter of the Great American Songbook, Grewen is second to none. Here are some options: What you need, we can do.
