Introduction: I began my cooking career in the Italian restaurants of Occidental in Western Sonoma County. Over the years, I developed my repertoire to include Italian, French, Mediterranean, Japanese, Szechuan Chinese and regional American cooking styles, BBQ is a specialty.
I have worked under the tutelage of many fine chefs, most notably Robert Buschbaum of European Culinary Management Inc. and Chef Louis Perrotte from the Brittany Region of France. I was chef/proprietor of a well-known restaurant on Tomales Bay in West Marin called Barnaby's by the Bay for 20 years. Personal customized menus are a specialty.

Michael just recently did the food for my wedding with a guest count of about 125 guests. He was the only caterer that I was able to find that almost worked as a wedding coordinator. Michael kept extremely great communication during the whole wedding planning process and always remained extremely detail oriented. The food was incredible and we didn't talk to anyone that didn't like what Michael served. His employees were also just as great and attentitive, super sweet people. I would recommend Michael to anyone for any type of event. Whether it be big or small. I couldn't be more happy with how everything turned out.

We hired Michael to cater a family dinner for 10 people. He was fantastic! He showed up right on time, was very well organized and cleaned up the entire kitchen and did the dishes. Our menu was filets and scallops, salad, roasted potatoes & a vegetable medley. All were delicious! And to top it off, he made the most amazing shortbread topped with fresh peaches and whipped cream for dessert...this was a big hit with everyone! Not only was Michael prompt and professional, he was also very friendly and outgoing. Everyone enjoyed conversing with him while he cooked....he fit in perfectly with our family. I would highly recommend him.

Event: Wow Smiles 2016 Holiday Party.
Menu: Grilled Tri-tip w/Chai Tea Rub, Chicken Marsala, Roasted Garlic New Potatoes & Fettuccine al Pesto, Roasted Summer Vegetable Medley & Mardi Gras Mini-Cupcakes & Cookies.
Michael was so easy to work with, food was delicious, service was wonderful, I highly recommend him and will definitely keep him in mind for future events.

We hired Michael to provide appetizers for our Housewarming Party in Santa Rosa last weekend, with about 50 guests. He was easy to communicate with, and from his bio and previous reviews, seemed like the perfect caterer for our party. We were not disappointed. He helped with the menu selection which resulted in beautiful and delicious appetizers and side dishes to accompany our tri tip bbq He and his staff kept everything refreshed throughout the party, and ensured things went smoothly. They pitched in and provided additional services beyond what we had discussed, staying late to continue serving and to clean up everything afterwards. Our guests loved the food, we were very impressed with the level of professionalism and how Michael ensured everything was running smoothly in the kitchen. It was an absolute pleasure working with Chef Michael. We hired Michael for a cooking lesson for 14 ladies at a bachelorette. He was super responsive, generous and flexible from early menu planning to the actual event itself. He offered just the right amount of coaching, while allowing us to catch-up with each other and toast the bride-to-be while he did the heavy lifting. The food was amazing - it was clear he's committed to sourcing the best and freshest ingredients. As an added bonus, Michael was very familiar with Toluma Farms, where we stayed, so he was able to let himself in and get right to work while we relaxed. My friends all enjoyed our meal with Michael immensely and would absolutely recommend him to anyone who's planning a very special dinner!
