~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Philosophy and Guiding Principles ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The whole being is considered in drawing forth a design for the most efficacious treatment, training, coaching & or counseling to suit the personal needs of the individual. Conscious breath propels my movements as I warm the muscle tissues with light touch, progressing into medium, then deep pressure. The principles of such energy movement apply in the realms of massage, fitness training, yoga, coaching & counseling. All the systems benefit from the free flow of chi - prana - life force. In a nurturing environment, vitality & rejuvenation are promoted throughout the process. About
Hands on the move. We have an available mobile service, prices vary depending on how far you live from my office. I offer Swedish, shiatsu, deep tissue, MFT, salt scrubs, sports massage, relaxation, pre-natal, and pediatrics. All sessions and packages can be changed to fit your needs. All massages can be used for relaxation, stress management, increased energy, over all sense of well-being, increased range of motion, increased flexibility, helps with posture, digestion, and stimulating nerve activity. It can help you recover faster from an injury, surgery, and a hard work out. Swedish: There are 5 strokes that are used for getting you used to my touch, helps increase circulation, helps with digestion, stimulates nerve activity, toning muscles, increased range of motion, relaxation, and decreased stress. On the table you are unclothed to your comfort level, but best if completely undressed. Lotion or oils are used to help make moving over skin and muscle easier. Rates: - 70 min session = $60 - 100 min session = $80 Packages: - Four 70 min sessions = $200 - Four 100 min sessions = $270 Shiatsu There are a variety of techniques used for this massage. Using percussion, softening, stretches, and acupressure which follows meridians that have acupressure points, some helping with back pain and headaches. You get an overall relaxation, decreased stress, increased sense of well-being, increased energy, and helps with different aches and pains. I use a table if you are shy about being unclothed, this is the ideal work for you, because you are completely clothed, it also gives you time to become comfortable in my presence. Rates: - 70 min session = $60 - 100 min session = $80 Packages: - Four 70 min sessions = $200 - Four 100 min sessions = $270 Deep Tissue Massage For a good Deep Tissue massage, the sessions are a bit longer and you must have a proper warm up time of your muscle tissue. I use a good thick creme that is designed for Deep Tissue massage, it makes it easier to work the muscle tissue. Unclothed is ideal and can be just the area I work with. You get an increased range of motion, over all well-being, relaxation, and increased circulation. If you ask for this work, it is recommended that you drink a lot of water before and the massage. The water helps flush the toxins the Deep Tissue releases from the muscle tissue, the toxins are caused by tension and adhesions from scar tissue. Rates: - 80 min session = $69 - 100 min session = $89 Packages: - Four 80 min sessions = $236 - Four 100 min sessions = $296 Myo-fascial Therapy MFT is a deeper more advanced work and requires even more time than a Deep Tissue massage. It requires knowledge of the muscle connections and muscle tissue fiber direction. It also requires an assessment and reassessment so that you and I can both see the results of the massage. Unclothed is ideal or it can just be the area I'm work on. I use the same creme as the Deep Tissue massage. Water is also suggested before and after massage. You get an increased range of motion, better posture, and increased flexibility. Rates: - 90 min session = $79 - 120 min session = $99 Packages: - Four 90 min sessions = $276 - Four 120 min sessions = $336 Sports Massage Deep Tissue, Swedish, and Shiatsu can be used, but it all depends on when you are next performing, when you last performed, and if you are dealing with an injury, or recovery from surgery. Rates: - 50 min session = $45 - 70 min session = $65 Packages: - Four 50 min sessions = $140 - Four 70 min sessions = $210 Salt Scrubs This is a wonderful service to experience. During the massage, I use a fine to medium salt mixed with lotion and warm water, it is used on one area of the body at a time and then rinsed with warm water and then massaged down with lotion. This is a very relaxing, with a good dose of over all well-being. Higher rate is due to extra supplies needed to do this work. Rates: - 60 min session = $60 Packages: - Four 60 min sessions = $220 Prenatal Massage Swedish and Shiatsu can be used. The time is shorter, being able to lay on the right side for only 20 min. You can be unclothed or clothed. You will be supported by pillows if you feel you need it. Rates: - 50 min session = $45 Packages: - Four 50 min sessions = $140 Pediatric Massage Yes, kids love massages too! Swedish and Shiatsu massage can be used to help calm them down, most importantly, before bedtime. A parent must be present for the entire massage sessions. Rates: - 40 min session = $35 Packages: - Four 40 min sessions = $120 Other massages services that will be available soon: -Hot Stone -Ice Therapy -Heat Therapy To avail of senior discounts, you must be 65 or over with proof of age. About
Taking an integrative approach to bodywork, Stacy integrates different modalities to create a massage tailored to each client's individual needs, and also incorporates custom, herbal-infused oil blends. She works from her home studio Sebastopol, California, and also provides home visits for women and couples (and men by referral) throughout the West County region. I sometimes use just one technique, but generally, I blend several styles together to create a personalized treatment. It is often helpful to learn some massage techniques of your own, so that you can give and receive massage with your loved ones in between professional treatments. The following is a list of massage techniques that I commonly use in my sessions: *Swedish massage - Swedish massage (also known as 'classic massage') is a traditional relaxation-massage technique. It is oil-based, and uses long gliding strokes, kneading, pressing, stretching, and gentle pounding affect nerves, glands, muscles, and circulation. *Deep tissue massage - Deep tissue massage is another oil-based method which concentrates on certain areas of the body, and moves very slowly, addressing the deep, underlying layers of muscle tissue, tendons and fascia. It is great for helping relieve chronic pain and tension, and is also very effective for scar tissue healing. *Traditional Thai massage/Bodywork - Often dubbed 'Yoga for Lazy People,' Thai massage uses pressure along energy lines (called 'sen lines') combined with yoga-like stretches to help allow the flow of necessary energies throughout the body. It is based largely on the Indian tradition of ayurveda, with also some similarities to Chinese medicine. It is traditionally performed fully clothed on a mat on the floor. *Foot reflexology - Foot reflexology involves pressing reflex areas on the feet. These areas correspond to organs and systems of the body. Foot reflexology cleanses the mind and body and revitalizes energy. A common theory of reflexology holds that massaging certain areas of the feet restores health by breaking up and dispersing 'crystals'. I generally combine reflexology with a general foot massage technique to leave both you and your feet feeling wholly refreshed. *Pre-natal massage - Pregnancy massage can help ease aches and pains caused by muscle tension and shifts in body weight of expectant moms. The massage will generally take place with the woman lying on her side, bolstered up by several pillows. Moms-to-be who are on bed rest can receive massage the comfort of their own homes, in their own beds. *Geriatric massage - A bit of therapeutic touch is essential to the quality of life of the elderly and terminally ill. On location massage can be done fully clothed with the client in his/her own bed, in a chair, or any place that she/he finds comfortable -- no massage table or special equipment is required. A combination of Swedish massage, acupressure and trigger point techniques are used, adjusted to each individual's ease of mobility and level of comfort. *Craniosacral therapy - Craniosacral therapy focuses on releasing restrictions of the cranial sutures and the underlying membranes through gentle hands-on contact with the bones of the skull and various other areas of the body. Craniosacral therapy has been used to treat a range of conditions from headaches and ear infections to stroke and spinal cord injury. *Chair massage - Clients remain fully clothed and received bodywork on a specially designed ergonomic chair. Sessions generally last anywhere from 10-30 minutes. This is especially practical for bringing massage to your special event or workplace. *Vibro-acoustic sound therapy (when available) - Sound vibrations are administered to the body through especially designed transducers that are built into the massage table, so that the client can feel as well as hear the music. Vibro-acoustics can produce a range of both mental and physical benefits including deep relaxation, enhanced sensory awareness, relief of muscle tension and improved concentration. It can be used alone or in combination with techniques of massage therapy.
