Jeff was very thorough and tried many approaches to solving the issue before we determined it was probably a hardware issue which would require more of an effort than I was prepared to invest in a laptop I would only occasionally use. I was completely happy with Jeff's work and would use him again.
I have needed Pete's expertise on many occasions. I have a desktop computer, laptop and iPhone - he knows them all. He worlds by phone, email or in person. He has been helpful on issues with iPhoto, email, mobileme/icloud, double passwords, and a host of other things. If he doesn't have an immediate answer he has the resource. He has recovered photos from the sd card on my camera (after I deleted them from my computer) and downloaded hundreds of videos that seemed locked in my video recorder. He is constantly teaching me ways to upgrade my devices, apps I should get and software that would be helpful given my idiosyncrasies. He has come to my house the same day or the next day when it was urgent. I work from home and don't have office support. For me, not having to go to the apple store with my big desk top is worth his hourly rate.
Ari is patient and funny, helpful in explaining about different options for data storage, and prioritizing what should come first in the Mac learning department. He helped me upload to iCloud the data that had my laptop all jammed up, for starters. Looking forward to more help so I can feel more proficient in understanding (and using better) my great new MacBook Pro.
Will Brown - Dirt Cheap Computer Repair - has very low rates - a flat rate even if he stays an hour or longer over 2 hours. He is very punctual and extremely knowledgeable about computer hardware.

Ben was so very helpful. Patient in listening to my concerns but lightening fast/super smart in working with my computer and resolving the problem. He calls himself a "Computer Coach" which is much different and better than "Computer Repair"...because often it is not the case that the computer is malfunctioning...it is that someone (like me) may not know how to navigate the issues. He provided some good follow up to make sure that everything was working well for me. If you happen to book an appointment at his place, don't be put off by the shabby exterior of the house... and of course, he also will make an appointment to come see you at your home or place of business. so it's Saturday afternoon and suddenly my Pioneer dj controller isn't allowing my audio signal to be processed and pass through to my powered speakers . . . to make a long story short, with the way that my home studio is configured that basically meant that I wouldn't be able to get anything done until at least Monday. sucks, right? wrong! so I go to Thumbstack and I immediately find Iconppower and within minutes i was connected to Johnny Lai and he and I were able to arrange an appointment for 5pm Saturday evening! Awesome, right... but would Johnny be able to actually figure out what was going on with my home studio and remedy it? answer: yes, no problem. First, let me say that I think I haven't made a big enough deal about perhaps the most important fact of this whole experience.... JOHNNY CAME TO ME! any other service and i no doubt would have take each component of my home studio individually to a repair person and that would have cost me a lot of $$$ to probably still not have had the problem taken care of -- - and that would definitely suck! but not with Johnny from Icomppower, he came to my place within an hour and he took his time to work through my issue and he was able to figure out the fix and I was back in the mix making music before 6 pm - - - and his fee? so maybe the best part of the deal.... It really couldn't have been more reasonable, especially when you consider that I had already spent 3-4 hours of my own time trying to figure out the issue without being even remotely successful - - - so when you consider what the alternative could have cost me and the amount of down time that Johnny saved me... definitely a fair deal for me! thanks Johnny. brian b

I was having a big problem could not even logged into my computer and worst of all did not have a recent backup so i was really nervous and worried because its my work computer and depend on all my files to make my living , spoke to several people on the phone and it only got me even more worried because people were telling i needed to re-load windows which meant i would loose all my data but, then i spoke with Sam and felt more comfortable ,he came to my office not only was he able to get all my data back but, he was able to get me up and running in no time he went beyond saving my life he also offered knowledgeable suggestions and expertise to avoid future problems he is very professional,reasonable and, really knows what he is doing.
